I live in the area so this place is a favorite of mine if I need pizza. I rarely go and sit inside but I did this time because I nabbed a great parking spot(rare). It was a freezing day and we got a table right near the oven, yay. It was a little loud but I didn’t mind because it smelled so good in there. One sense took over the other. I ordered a large Mopsy, which has a pulled pork homemade bbq-ish sauce with cheese and onions and pineapple too. Amazinnngggg… as you can see from other Unilocal reviews it is in quite a few. Clearly, if you like cheese, pork, bbq, or pizza you should try it. I have also made my own concoction before as well, they have all kinds of toppings to pick from and they will pile it on. Anything made in an oven like this one is sure to be crunchy and awesome. I am no health nut, but I do like the fact that their ingredients are organic. It’s not a deal breaker when I go out to eat but it is nice knowing as I shovel pizza into my face I am being halfway healthy about it. Points for me. The place has a really nice staff and overall layout and design. It works like a well oiled machine. It was loud, alive and busy which is the sign of a job well done on their part. The food comes out fast, it is consistent and always hot. The three go to’s for a good place to eat in my book, like I always say. If you haven’t been yet, check out their website and menu, get a feel for their mission, then get your butt in the car! They are right behind CVS on Thayer St, no excuses!

This place is great! Well, it was great during college winter break when it was not that crowded. Even when the college kids are around it is still great, but quite a bit more crowded. Pizza is excellent. Pretty thin crust but not cooked until it gets crunchy and with enough doughiness to be soft and chewy(personal preference, not a fan of cracker-like crust). Great beer selection with decent prices, good specials, and good service as well. They do have a small parking lot but beware, you have to pull in and then back allll the way out. There is no space to turn around. So please, if you have a big truck/suv(or are not good at backing up in general), do not even bother trying to get in there.

I got the large Punctuated Equilibrium pizza(I love when anything has a fun name) and it was amazing. Very fresh, not too heavy, perfectly cooked. My friend and I probably could have split another large, that’s how good it was. Our waitress was very nice and helped explain the menu to us and I was very happy to hear that their establishment is completely NUTFREE! That is very hard to find these days. It is deceivingly large on the inside because it definitely looks small from the outside. We had a front row seat to the pizza oven, which was great. There was even a small bench made from an old log for kids to sit on and watch the fire. The inside of the restaurant was rustic and comfortable, which I was a fan of as well. This is a don’t miss place to eat!

I would leave 3.5 stars, but I can’t, so I will round down. I always get the Jack’s Free Range Chicken(and yes, I eat it all by myself). I feel like this is a very good«healthy» choice. I really like this pizza because it’s a great happy medium between my 2 favorite foods(pizza and Mexican). The black beans, corn and sour cream give this pie a nice burst of flavor and texture. The chicken is very flavorful and thinly sliced. I’m giving it 3.5 stars because a pizza place should have a solid pepperoni pizza(in my opinion anyway). They do not have pepperoni per say. They have nitrate free sausage, which is great and all, and kudos to them for trying to keep us healthy, but when you want a pepperoni pizza, you want a pepperoni pizza.

Best pizza we had in our two days in Providence. We are sticklers for pizza and this place was super solid. It’s hidden off Thayer, but you will be so happy you went. It’s delicious and reasonably priced.

Best salad and pizza combo in Providence. Great beer. Amazing record selection. Very accommodating. I had a birthday party there a few years back and they allowed us to occupy the Thayer front facing area. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. Point blank. I love Flatbread!

An absolute must-have if in the Providence area. The pizza is as good as it gets. Nommy desserts. And a great beer selection on tap.

Fantastic flatbread with a great variety of beers on tap. Gluten free options are a huge plus! Staff was friendly and was overall a cool experience to watch them make your food in the giant oven. The pulled pork special pizza was full of flavor! A must try if you are in providence. A nice tucked away secret off of Thayer.

Probably one of our favorite sit down pizza places in Providence. The service is always great and the food is excellent. We usually order the Mopsey with Chicken and get salads. One thing I suggest is that one busy nights you call ahead and have them out your name in the list as they don’t take reservations and the wait can be really long. Another cool thing is that on(I believe) Monday’s they give a student discount. Double check the day but it’s either Monday or Tuesday! And it’s significant, like 10−20% off! Check it out!

This place is a little pricey but very good pizza. The options are also quite limited — for example, there’s no equivalent to a «supreme» or «everything» pizza — which is my favorite. But their BBQ pizza is really good and they make their own sauce so I can’t complain too much. I have to say though, this place falls into the classic American mid-level food trap — let’s put cheese on it. They go a bit overboard, especially for the veggies pizzas(Are you compensating for my desire to eat greens?). The atmosphere is decent, if a little loud. They take reservations and can accomodate large parties. Overall, I’d say its the best pizza in this part of town, but nothing to write home about.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I think the flatbreads are overrated(but take my word with a grain of salt — I don’t really like flatbreads or pizza-esque food… I know, I know, fighting words). However, the beer selection is robust, and the dessert was sweet, rich, and heavy — all pluses in my book. The ambiance is nice for a big group, especially because the restaurant never seems super crowded.

Here is another example of me kicking myself for not trying a restaurant sooner! Since they’ve opened I’ve had people recommend this place to me and I kept putting off going, I think I was scared away by the location. We don’t often eat on the East Side because it’s so crowded and has a lack of parking availability. Clearly we need to get over there more often. This place is tucked away behind Thayer St and has a parking lot that can be accessed from Cushing St. From the appearance from the parking lot it looked like a small restaurant so I was completely surprised at how HUGE the place is inside. They have a large dining room where you can watch all of the pizzas being made and a good size outdoor dining area, a large bar and a lounge area beyond the bar with tall tables and even a reading nook complete with big comfy looking chairs and bookcases. They have a good beer list and it featured a lot of local brews. The menu is limited to just salad, pizza, and a few desserts.. . but they do these few things exceptionally well. Our waitress was very helpful and informed us that the pizzas can be customized to your liking and if you can’t decide they could do half and half. Well we couldn’t decide on just one because they all sounded so good, we went with a large pizza with half the carne special which was buffalo chicken that day and half pork pie, they were both amazing. I have had so many different buffalo chicken pizzas that I’ve lost count and they’ve all been of varying quality, but the one we had here might be the best I’ve ever eaten! It wasn’t overly spicy and the thinly sliced carrots and celery over the top made it perfect. I don’t even know where to begin with the pork pie, it was heaven in my mouth. The pork was tender, the bbq sauce wasn’t too sweet, and they used just the right amount of pineapple so it wasn’t overwhelming. It’s been a few weeks and I keep finding myself thinking about this pizza! There is another pizza place in PVD that has been my absolute favorite for a while now but this place might just challenge that. It really is that good. Also while we were here we ran into our awesome community manager Hilary, so you know the place is legit!

This place is great. The food comes out so quickly. You can customize your pizza. They have weekly meat and veggie specials. The servers are usually very nice and attentive. The quality of the food is exceptional. Not too expensive. The space is huge and there’s a lot of room at the bar. Bathrooms are always clean.

4 stars based on food, 2 based on service. However, can’t really say that is true all the time as this was the one and only time I’ll come, here on a vacation. Ingredients were incredibly fresh! Got mushroom and pepperoni flatbread and salad. All fresh, tasty, would highly recommend a visit based on that. Also, pretty cool they allow dogs on the patio. Upon being seated, we saw at least 3 tables getting served before us. No idea what was up with that but we had to grab someone to get served. After that however, staff did seem attentive and corrected.

One of the best Flatbread locations I have been too! It may not be on the water or have a bowling alley BUT the people make up for it and the space is nice as is. Came here on a trip to Providence and I kind of defaulted from trying a new place as I knew I would be satisfied with their pizza… But this location proved me wrong. My meal ended up being things I had never before tried on the flatbreads menu and it was OUTSTANDING. The waiter was awesome he had great suggestions and even brought us out a pitcher of water since we opted to sit outside on the sun drenched pavement. We got split pizza with half sausage and half Mopsy’s Kalua Pie with chicken oh my god, I am drooling thinking about it. Also the beer selection was amazing and the blueberry ginger alcoholic drink was excelllent!

I am a fan of pizza. I once ate it every day, every meal for two weeks, and I would have kept the streak alive except that my tummy hurt a bit, so I took a day off. I will eat it on a plane, in the rain, in Spain and on a train, so I’m a bit annoyed by the fact that Flatbread insists on referring to their flatbread pizzas as just«flatbreads». However, they taste good, and I try not to sweat the small stuff, so I can’t get too worked up about that minor annoyance. I have only ordered off the regular menu once. This is because their specials always sound amazing – and they are. That always leaves me feeling a little manic when I leave, both because I know what I come back the delicious special pizza that I just ate won’t be there anymore, but also, how can I been there so many times and not have actually used the menu provided?!? But that’s a small concern. It’s just good food, all around. Call it Flatbread, call it Pizza, it is delicious, and I would eat it every day if I could afford to. The service is consistently good, with a nice laid back vibe, and last time we were there, we got to sit in front of the big oven and watch people flinging pizzas in and out – dinner and a show for just the price of dinner. The beer list is solid. It rotates just enough that you know there’s always going to be something new, but not so much that you can’t rely on them to have a favorite. Beer, Service, Pizza, what more does a restaurant need?

I seriously love Flatbread. Three of us came in last Friday, the wait was 30 minutes. So we decided to grab a drink at the bar. Doug helped us out. We then decided to grab three seats and eat at the bar. Doug was great. We might always try to sit at the bar from now on. We didn’t wait, our drinks were made and poured right in front of us, and our flatbreads came out fast! We got beers and a margarita! I ordered a salad with goat cheese. Then we ordered a large carne special and a small community flatbread to split. We pretty much always get the community flatbread. It’s a must have for us. Then we try to get one of the specials. The carne special was a chicken, bacon, ranch with tomatoes, red onions, and herbs. It was amazing. I’ve never been disappointed at Flatbread. The staff is great. It’s always clean and they try to do their best to serve you!
