I was really excited about this event however I feel like I was duped. You had to pay $ 8 to get in but access to all these truck could be great I reasoned. Once in it was a harsh reality that none of the prices were lower even though you just paid $ 18 to get in… There were a lot of yummie looking and smelling things around however I wish they would have done smaller sampling portions for lower prices so you could afford to try more than one truck. I tried the local Fugo and had a deal where I got two tacos and wings plus a drink for around $ 12. The wings and taco were both pretty tasty but I couldn’t help but thinking the whole time this actually cost me almost $ 20 for lunch?! The tables/chairs were also lacking and there was definetly room for more. I’ll be checking out Providence’s food trucks for sure but I think I’ll be staying away from this event if it comes to Providence again.

I admit I was little disappointed. I did have big d’s yucca fries, yum and the braised pork empanadas from nuchas truck. My friend had a burger from a truck that looked amazing, but I don’t eat red meat:( The vendors were super friendly But a lot of the trucks had the same things and some only had 3 items to chose from. I wish providence trucks would have made more of an appearance. Prices were reasonable for the portion u get. Ive many Prov trucks to try so I will have to hunt them down on a weekday lunch hour and chow down!

This was a fun event. I wish I was able to eat more. I tried a burger from the Boston burger stand, a beef empanada from the NYC Nuchas, a beef empanada from our local Radish, and the waffle that beat Bobby Flay in a Throwdown from the NYC Waffles and Dinges truck. We really need one of those waffle trucks around here asap. Radish beat Nuchas hands down in my opinion, though the Nuchas vendors were super nice and even helped me set up a banner I was struggling with. All the food was good and the vendors were friendly. The amazing Robert S. stood in the very long waffle line for me since I didn’t want to leave my table unattended but was being tortured by that sugary sweet waffle smell. I owe you one mi amigo :)

Beautiful day for the Food Truck Bash! Radish’s empanadas were slammin’ good and a deal for only $ 2! I also enjoyed the waffles… mmmm! Sadly the event didn’t live up to my expectations overall… I thought here would be many more trucks given we paid $ 8 to get in. There were only 8! Less of a bash and more of a soirée.

Great choices of food Trucks. Boston, Providence and NYC trucks Loved the Empanadas from Nuchas and the Bulgogi from Big D’s Grub. The lines for the Sweet waffles at Waffles and Dinges were always long !! Most of the choices were sandwiches, fries, empanadas or sweets. Overall a very well attended event. Jessica S was manning the Unilocal booth, letting others know about our site and benefits… :-)

I walked into this event feelin’ like I was part of the Food Network’s featured episode on the Northeast local showdown. With food trucks from NY, Boston and RI competing for the title of Best in Northeast. I came into this event trying whatever pleased my eyes and stomach. I got the glorious privilege to try out Boston’s Baddest Burger & Sandwich Co’s: Bacon & Cheddahh Cheese Burger, Nuchas’: event special short rib empanada, Phil’s Steak’s: Wizz(cheese) Fries, and a customized Belgium waffle and hot chocolate from Wafel’s and Dinges. All of which were wonderfully delicious. The event brought in a descent crowd. And they even had a mini outdoor living room setup playing the Patriot’s game at the front of the rink for entertainment. Beer, food trucks and a awesome football game? Can you say epic WIN?!? My only wish: to have a larger stomach and a larger wallet to try everything!
