Unlike your average vintage and thrift, the merch here seems much more well-chosen especially with regard to men’s clothes. The prices are very appropriate/reasonable and though I’d gone in for one thing, I came out with four. Definitely a breath of fresh air in the world of thrift/vintage/consignment. I’ll be back…

Leviathan Exchange is amazing! The set-up and ambience of the store is cool, comfortable, and unique. The pieces for sale range from staple basics to seasonal wear to inspired accessories that include jewelry, shoes, and bags. There is truly something for everyone! As a consignor, I had a wonderful experience working with Phil the owner. He was extremely welcoming and thorough in reviewing and selecting the items that I brought in. He was incredibly fair and generous in his pricing, and I really appreciate his direct and cordial manner of conducting business. I highly recommend Leviathan Exchange to shoppers and consignors alike – it is such a gem! I definitely plan to return again some time in the future and hopefully see the store’s resident St. Bernard, Rocky! :)

So these dudes crushed my dreams of someday providing this type of shop in Provy. They’ve done it, congrats. Also, shame on me for not stepping foot into this place for its first 2 years or so of existence. Vintage and new, odd brands and the old faithfuls alike, all with price points mostly under $ 20? Someone has been stealing my thunder and snatching up what i would be likely to buy at other thrifty venues. I walked away with a really nice Men’s Banana Republic zip up sweatshirt that had some military flairs to it, to use as a spring jacket. Very reasonable price, no defects.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here since it opened. The shop has really grown! The owner is super nice and I’m obsessed with Rocky his big St. Bernard who helps out around the shop. I sell/trade clothes here often. I feel that Phil is very fair in how much he gives you in cash/trade which I appreciate. Not to mention the average price for some pretty awesome threads usually run under $ 15. You can find some solid gems and statement pieces in this joint!

As usual, when I visit a new place/state for the first time I’ve got to hit up a thrift store and check out the local flavor, or rather, what they have phased out of. Leviathan Exchange has a lot of selection of both men and women clothes. Everything was nicely organized, allowing for easy browsing. There was a variety in style so I think there’s a little something for everyone and the selection to choose from is all very good quality so you’re bound to find something you like. The prices are reasonable, some items may be a touch high for a second hand store but for the quality/brand it’s probably still a great deal. The guy working there was really nice, he gave me a few suggestions on things to do around the area and he had great taste in music. Will definitely go back if I’m ever in the area again. Also, there’s a giant house dog that likes to lay in the back, he’s super chill and welcoming but if you’re allergic or frighten of dogs you have been warned.

Cute little place with so many surprises. The clothes are arranged according to size and you can find anything from big items such as coats to small ones like jewelry. I got a really nice pair of boots and a raincoat. I paid only 40 $ — as it was a special day and you could buy one and get one for free. Yet the biggest surprise was meeting the adorable dog: Rocky the St Bernard, a friendly and good-natured old gentleman who greeted me as soon as I entered the store. I really enjoyed shopping at Leviathan and would like to go there again if I have the opportunity.

This gem of a store should definitely be a stop on your tour of the West Side! Grab a latte next door at White Electric and allot an hour to browse the well-curated racks at Leviathan. What to expect? –Mall-brand and a few upscale-brand clothing items ranging from $ 10-$ 30. The only items I saw selling for more than that were large coats or truly high-quality, timeless pieces. I found a like-new wool dress from Zara, in impeccable condition, for $ 13. My boyfriend picked up a great sweater for $ 15. The clothing is really well-organized by size and definitely timed well for the seasons. Everything we saw was winter-appropriate. –Shoes for super cheap. Like $ 12 for a pair of leather loafers, or $ 20 for a rocking pair of red cowboy boots. I ogled a few pairs but decided that I need to purge a few pairs myself before bringing more home… –Accessories for $ 5! Lots of cute little purses, scarves, necklaces, and kerchiefs, etc. in charming prints, all in great condition. –Well-taken-care-of vintage items – think Woolrich coats, Pendleton plaid items, and softened leather jackets priced FAIRLY for once. Remember the last time you found that perfect puff-sleeve velvet dress at the«vintage consignment» store only to leave empty-handed and broken-hearted because it was quoted at $ 60??? Not here. –A cool system for trading in your clothes, allowing others to take them home, and getting 50% of the sale value in store credit or in cash! Amazing! The owner, Phil, was really great and chatted with my boyfriend as I browsed. Apparently, he is planning some cool collaborations with local businesses and intends to remain in the space/a fixture in the community for as long as possible. SUPPORTLOCALBUSINESSESLIKETHISONE!

Been here many times. I love the atmosphere, and clothing. I went out of my way to spend money here since it opened, actually. I haven’t been back in months since my last weird experience here, though. The resident St. Bernard was lounging in front of the dollar sale rack. I stepped around this dog so I could browse the rack. This usually(?) docile creature stood up and head butted me. WTF? I understand wanting to spend time with your pet, but there is a time and a place for that. I also have a friend who has complained of the«grumpy» dog there before I was bum rushed by it. I love dogs, but it shows a lack of respect for your customers when you house a huge dog like that in your store that you have to warn customers about. And by «warn», I mean just stay away from the huge dog, because he will head butt you unprovoked.

I came into this shop trying to rekindle my love of second-hand stores after growing up within a far-too-close proximity with a Buffalo Exchange. It had clearly been far too long and this place perfectly emulates the type of environment I was hoping for. The setup is really solid with the presentations he has for a lot of the stuff. The décor is really spot on. Even the music that was playing set a perfect vibe for the type of people that this store aims for. This store has the same type of clothing(high school, college, young twenties) that Buffalo Exchange holds largely, but because it’s a smaller joint, it’s a LOT less hit and miss. Almost everything I saw, I liked, and I tried on a bunch of stuff. I came out with a sweater, a t-shirt, a button-up and a pair of sunglasses for $ 45.00 which is a win for me ANY day of the week, especially considering there’s not really another option for this type of thing within Providence and probably Rhode Island. The closest I would think would be up in the Boston-Cambridge area. What an oasis. On top of it, Phil, the owner, was hanging about, gave me some thoughts on the things I was picking up and introduced himself and shook my hand. Definitely a breath of fresh air in regards to this place as a whole. I cannot wait to return in a couple of weeks to pickup some new stuff.

A nice, moderately sized men’s section with clothing worth sifting through. The store is very organized by size, making things easier to find. The cashier was pleasant to chat with

Absolutely love this place. I check it out at least once a week, always has new to me upscale clothing in awesome condition. I will never go to the mall and pay full price again after finding this hidden gem on Westminster st. The owner is always very helpful and gives me a heads up when some bigger guy stuff comes in. Check out the big dog, I don’t think I’ve erer seen a dog that big and friendly.

Unique clothing at affordable prices. The place has a great vibe, and I always end up leaving there with something. Plus, you can trade in your clothing for store credit! How awesome is that? Highly recommend checking this place out.

So glad I checked it out! This consignment store offers women’s as well as men’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The selection is clean, varied, and ample(be sure to check out the downstairs!). I’m not sure if the guy who helped me was the owner, but I found his attitude and service to be excellent. A refreshing change. I only have a couple small criticisms; They are priced a smidge high, and the downstairs is a little dark. Note; I forgot to ask the man working, but I’m not sure why the stencil in the window says The Port. Maybe that was an older business?

These guys are handsome… A little toooo handsome. Do they have a gym in the basement or is it just the bargain rack? It’s a joy that Providence’s only clothing exchanged is staffed by such friendly helpful dudes that will answer any questions I have and provide handpicked items at great prices. I’ve bought some of my favorite clothing here and at RIDICULOUSLY good prices! It’s always inspiring when someone is capable of recycling materials to design their own place, and then builds it with their own hands. The inclusion of art, music & local talent is a joy to be around as well.

I was fortunate enough to check this place out on their opening night, and happily acquired two great pieces of clothing for very little $$$. Its a nice, cozy and pretty snug spot, with a really cool vintage-y vibe, with an interesting assortment of pieces. Some pretty standard used items, H&M and such, but others that are real steals. I bought a fantastic wool blazer for under $ 20 that I receive compliments on every time I wear it. Staff is very helpful and gracious, décor is really cool — and be sure to check out the downstairs, there is a whole lotta loot to look at.
