Where do I begin:
–we were not greeted by the staff. We had to ask if we could seat ourselves.
–the waitress asked if we were ready to order while she was still behind the counter.
–no cream for coffee, only milk
–it took longer than 30 minutes for our food to be served
the grilled cheese we ordered for our kids looked like it was reheated from a previous order
–my scrambled eggs were runny.
–if I had a choice to give no stars I would.

I came here at 1:30 PM. It took OVER AN HOUR to get any food. The staff didn’t seem to concerned about it, they didn’t come over or say anything to me until I complained, they just held up a ‘five minutes’ gesture. Customers who got there after me had paid the bill and left before I got any food. Unacceptable.
Nobody came to check on me after the food came. Somebody walked in with a really strong nasty cologne. There were only three other tables, but it was obnoxiously noisy.
I got the mofongo with chicken, which tasted fine, but perhaps just because I was starving when it arrived. Tomatoes were bad quality and watery. Taminrind juice was too sweet for me. They comped that, at least.
I was excited about this place, now I won’t be coming back.

New breakfast restaurant in Washington Park!
I urge all of those who are looking for something other than Spoonems in the Edgewood/​Wash. Park area to give this place a chance.
The takeout menu advertizes Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night grill on the weekends, so there is more than just breakfast available. The breakfast I had today was awesome. I got a pretty amazing Benedict for $ 6.95. Huge portion, great homefries. My friend got the House Special which was another great plate at $ 4.95.
The menu offers an interesting mix of American diner food, and Dominican comfort food. The service was on point. The interior spotless, bright, and warmly appointed.
The only drawback was the wait for our food, which took just over 30 minutes. I didn’t dare complain or make an issue of this, as this business is brand new. Will absolutely go back!
