Love this bar. Was a favorite spot when living in Providence. Cheap prices and very great neighborhood bar experience. Bartenders are friendly and welcoming. Have some great potlucks/events and a top notch place to watch the Pats or any big game.

This is a great place to hang out with friends and have a few drinks, the bartenders are all really nice and make you feel very welcome. My girl Simone is a hoot and Thursday nights always rock when she is there. If you are lucky you can snag a glass of her world famous sangria in official Portuguese style. Also, there are special events and huge TV’s to catch whatever game might be on. If you are in the Fox Point area and need a drink and a seat come on in to Round the Corner, I’ll save a seat for ya!

I visited this place with a group of friends during a «shady bar crawl» in Providence. Shady it was, indeed. Everyone looked at us like we were out of place, which confirms that it is most certainly a bar for regulars. The prices are super cheap for beer, and I didn’t try any of the food items. You must remember that it is CASHONLY. The DJ was playing a very weird mix of songs that made no sense. All in all a weird experience. I probably won’t go back on my own accord.

I stumbled upon this place while walking home from the Wickenden Pub one night. It is just a block off Wickenden Street — literally ‘Round the Corner. A key thing is that this place doesn’t take credit cards, so make sure you have some cash. It is friendly and dive-y, but the kind of place that you won’t feel weird or awkward walking into even though there do appear to be a bunch of regulars. There is a dart board in the corner, the bathrooms were clean, and the bartender was friendly. The prices are GREAT and this bar has a very local clientele. It is the kind of bar where you can strike up a conversation with a random stranger and its cool. This place is great for those of us that are no longer in our 20s and don’t want to party with college students.

Round the Corner is a neat little place — some may call it a dive bar but I think«neighborhood pub» is a better description. It’s small and doesn’t seat a lot of people but the crowd is fun and friendly, as is the bartender. Drinks are cheap so it’s a nice place to go for a relaxing drink with friends. Probably not great for a first date since it’s a little too intimate(the crowd is mostly regulars and the bartender seems to know everyone) but great for hanging out and meeting people!

This place is a great no-fuss local bar. It’s fairly small with a small beer selection but great prices. For example, we paid $ 7.50 for two Sam Adams tap beers, and you can’t get better than that in terms of price. It was dead when we were there at 7 pm, but our friends told us that it gets really busy on the weekend.

Went out after work with some co-workers and friends for some post-birthday drinks. Great little spot. Really laid back. A lot of regulars from the bar I work at, so that was kind of cool. Cheap drinks, excellent juke box. I’m a huge Dave Matthews Band fan, and there is a couple of cd’s in there. So that’s always nice. Def will be back. I could see this being someones«Cheers».

This is a great bar especially if you’re close by. It’s tiny in size, however it’s very nice and the people are friendly. I have been here a few times and enjoy it. The bar often has functions going on as well for holidays and events. By functions I mean there’s clam chowder and tons of food when there is nice weather in the summer.

Place where even my wife is comfortable. Wine is good. Good selection of drafts beers. Nice selection of scotch/vodka/etc. Pretty dang fancy for the place that it is. Great Jukebox. The folks here are some of the nicest I’ve met in quite some time. Pssst. Even the bathroom is clean. Yep, bunch of guys from the neighborhood own this place and they don’t argue with each other! How cool is that???

This bar is literally ’round the corner’ from my house, making it a great spot for an easy drink during the week. It looks like it gets really busy on the weekend. Mostly ‘local’(i.e. pre-Fox Point hipsterization) clientele — when I’ve gone in with a group we do sometimes get weird looks by the regulars at first, but everyone has been very polite to us. Awesome jukebox selection, cheap drinks, and a free dart board(although you should really bring your own darts, the ones they provide are really banged up).

Tiny bar on the East Side. A quiet alternative to the college bars in the neighborhood(I would imagine, anyways). Locals, natives, decent.

This place rocks. Small little hole in the wall neighborhood joint. I think it’s actually owned collectively by about 25 guys from the neighborhood. The drink prices are cheap. I think it’s safe to say it’s a dive if you were scared walking in the first time.
