My boss got me addicted to this place — in fact, this is where I had my first interview at my current company. Everyone is always friendly, and the food is fresh. My only complaint is they don’t have wifi, which is strange since they’re a coffee shop. Still, delicious sourdough bread will always keep me coming back.

As a somewhat frequent visitor to Providence, I look forward to visiting the Seven Stars bakery. Great coffee, croissants and sandwiches. Very friendly staff

Gotta love this place! Can’t say one bad thing about it. It’s one of the few places open at 6:30 am during the week. Prices are good and the coffee and food are even better. Granola nut scone or a thick slice of toasted whole grain bread are my favorites.

People I know love the place but to me it seems OK. I’ve gone multiple times and they ran out of things. One time they didn’t have water to make beverages. It just seems odd to me.

Loaf of sourdough bread, chocolate chip cookies, cute bakery. What more can I say about this place? It’s an absolute darling place.

I love coming here to indulge myself. I made a quick stop and grabbed a medium mocha. It was a nice day and the signature on the top made me feel that spring has sprung. The staff are always polite. I picked the perfect time, 3:05 only had one person in line!!! I hate long lines for something as simple as a beverage. I do recommend the chocolate almond croissant, some days they are a little to crispy so I always ask for an undercooked one and get it warmed.

Baked goods are amazing at Seven Stars. They have good coffee too. We’ve met the owners(on the awesome Unilocal Field trip!) and they are very passionate about what they do. Highly recommend.

I am the first to admit that I am a baked-goods snob, but Seven Stars always satisfies, whether it’s with their incredible lemon cakes, crusty bread, decadent quiche, or amazing scones. Their tea is great too. Although they don’t have wifi, it’s a great place to read, chat, or people watch– all while enjoying some delicious bread and pastries! Seven Stars is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places in Providence.

Is till adore Seven Stars — great breads, pastries, coffee and tea. They also sell local honeys, jams and cute merch. Who doesn’t love that? This location may be a parade of East Siders and their tots, but that really cant be helped due to the location and product. I mean, what kid doesn’t want an amazing almond macaroon? Speaking of, get one… Or a dozen. Have a piping hot cup of locally-roasted coffee and have a ball.

Expected More I heard so many great things about this place. It is very inviting when you walk in and the staff was very friendly. The big issue here is that it is definitely«over priced» and the bakery items that we tried weren’t great. The coffee that I had wasn’t very good either. When you write a review you have to be honest. I still give the place 3 stars, because of the charming service and the extremely fresh items to choose from. Nonetheless, when these items are a bit pricey and not overly satisfying, I have to write about it. I prefer Ellie’s or Pastiche over Seven Stars. Thanks

Great pastries, fresh bread, pleasant service, and unlimited coffee refills keeps me coming back to Seven Stars again and again. The lack of wifi is actually a plus for me when thinking about this place because when I go, I know that it’s a place where I can ‘turn off’ from the internet for a while and sink into a good book or conversation with a friend(without being surrounded by people absorbed into their laptops). In that way, I imagine it kind of feels like a coffee shop would have a decade or two ago– less office/work-centered and more social. On the weekends, I like coming here to grab some bread for the week– favorites include Vermont Cheddar Bread(‘cheesy bread!!’ — it’s incredible– the bread literally has chunks of cheese in it), Cranberry Walnut Bread, and Sourdough. If you’re not sure about which one, you can order a slice of any of their breads to try. Toasted, maybe with butter or jam, for just a few bucks. On the pastry front, their almond croissants are incredible and somehow taste better than they look. I’m also a fan of their scones if you’re looking for something more hearty and less sugary. I find that on the weekends, it’s usually too crowded to stick around for too long if you can find space at all. There are a lot of people coming in and out and it’s filled with families. When it’s less full, I like to sit at the large wooden table near the back of the store. Communal tables with ample space are my jam. Speaking of jam, I love to grab a slice of the cranberry walnut with butter and jam to go with my coffee(for here= again, unlimited refills! you don’t even have to wait at the register, just go to the bar). There are also smaller tables throughout the space, though larger groups may be tougher to accommodate. During the summer there’s also a cute outdoor seating area. I’ve never had a bad experience here in any way and I’m so lucky to have this place so close!

As with all the Seven Stars bakeries, what you’ll find is high quality bread that is consistently very good for a fair price. Recently Seven Stars has started the«Backdoor Bread» project, working with different whole grains and milling their own flour, so I’m excited to see and taste what new experimental breads they’ll be coming out with. I happen to live closer to the Seven Stars on Broadway but I will visit this location on occasion since it seems to have a greater variety of pastry on offer, like the kouign amman(a rare offering in RI). In addition, I’ve been lucky enough to attend a free coffee tasting and education event here which helped me up my own home-brew coffee game. Hoping they have more coffee events in the future, the first one I went to was great! I love the fact that Seven Stars engages with the community by offering free events and moreover supports local vendors and artisan producers. I’d give Seven Stars 7 stars, but since Unilocal limits stars, I’ll settle for 5. It’s a wonderful bakery, check it out.

Delicious bakery. Friendly staff. The best almond croissant I’ve had outside of Europe. Parking lot is small, but if always find street parking. The coffee is fantastic! One of the best bakeries in RI.

The best baked goods I have ever tasted.. . for reals!!! They have ruined me on any other croissants forever, none will ever be as good as theirs. They are huge, light & flaky, and oh so buttery. It doesn’t stop there, the cinnamon rolls are divine, the corn bread is heavenly, the bacon & potato quiche is outstanding(make sure you get it heated up) and the olive bread is the best damn thing ever. It doesn’t matter what you order, it will all be delicious!

I just got a small mulled cider and a pretzel. It cost over $ 6. The pretzel is just okay. The mulled cider is some of the best I’ve had. I’d consider spending the money to get it again.

I love love the round lemon cake! My, everything is good just some are very good. The service is friendly and there is plenty of space for the long lines although seating can be iffy due to how busy it is. I have been to both Providence locations several times and don’t seem to notice a difference in quality. The parking seems like an after thought because the lot for the location on Hope is just a handful of spots, always filled. The location on Broadway has no lot at all. Walking or riding a bike here is always a option! The sandwiches are pre-made so if you don’t like mayo — too bad! I just can’t get behind mayo put on sandwiches for the public when half the public doesn’t like or want mayo. Did I mention the lemon cakes?! YUM!

A very large part of why I’m giving this 4 and not 3 stars is the sweet, blue eyed cashier. She had all the patience and pep as she answered my questions and waited out my debate between a lemon puff and biscotti — and I ended up getting a granola scone. Such a sweet heart! She went out of her way to get me water and everything. The scone was 3 stars. Good, but I was quite able to stop myself from finishing it. The coffee was good, but I wouldn’t drive any further for it. I’d be interested to try their bread and then update this!

The lines on the weekend are the only reason that I’m not giving this a 5… I’m obsessed with all of the breads and they are great about making a recommendation based on what you are serving for dinner. The coffee is hot, delish and made to order(alebit not cheap). What are you waiting for? Run there.

It’s about time I write a review on Seven Stars… Today was the first time in a very long time I was able to enjoy their relaxing outdoor seating. It’s a great go-to spot to meet up with friends, family, colleagues. anyone! The coffee is always on point and of course the bake goods are to rave about! Great quality place without being pretentious! Staff is always friendly and helpful with all the difficult decisions that have to be made over baked goods!
