This club is literally stuck in 2002, the decorations are absolutely awful and tacky. It feels more like a middle school dance more than anything. Music was like mediocre and the place was empty. I should mention its tiny. Good thing I didn’t pay or I’d be so so mad.

I went to Van Gogh for, my boyfriends graduation celebration and it was a good time with good music but, what made me write a review was the service I recieved from the bartender Brian. He was really attentive and made awesome drinks ! He took care of the crowd of people at the bar but made sure he got to everyone Effortlessly! ! I would definitely host a party at Van Gogh or come in on a friday night w. My friends if all the bartenders are like this.

This place was okay. My friend and I came on a Saturday night. With no idea of what type of music would be played throughout the night, we weren’t too thrilled when we realized it was«throwbacks» all night. Nothing that fun to dance to. Our mixed drinks were $ 10, a little steep, but it is a club. Don’t know if I’ll return anytime soon, unless it’s a good DJ that I know of! *** I SHOULD mention, it’s ladies free until 11pm and we arrived around 11:05pm and still got in for free. So yay for that one!

Ugh. Where do I begin. Let’s start with the area. Scary. Not only is it out of the way of all the other clubs in the city… it is in one of the sketchiest neighborhoods… don’t wear more than sweatpants and a wifebeater or you’re likely to get mugged. So… getting to the entrance. You are greeted(if that’s what you call it) by this bulldog of a rude woman… she doesn’t say«hello», she doesn’t honor the promotions they post online, she acts as if this is studio 54 in the late 70’s — hunny its a Sunday night in Providence… and you’re trying to promote an offensive«gay night». I know it’s a hard job collecting the money and wrapping a bracelet around someone’s wrist… but do it with a smile. :D Walking in, the place actually has charm… in a futuristic-renovated-abandoned-factory sort of way. After the grand entrance that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, you are in a large room with 2 bars, a dj pavilion, and a series of booths roped off for the«VIPs». Horrible alcohol selection… is this a bar or a frat party?! No greygoose? You did NOT just offer me skyy vodka on the rocks instead, did you?! OMG… Want to pay your tab? Well, I hope you made their minimum for a credit card charge — is that even legal? No wonder they had to change their name from one famous artist«Monet» to another«Van Gogh». I’m assuming to get out of bad tax debt. The planning of the events is lacking. The first 3 weeks they started this whole«gay night» thing they hired logo tv «celebrities» to promote it… ugh… half the people paying extra to meet said celebrities were spending even more money on PLASTICCUPS full of cheap booze while waiting for the before-mentioned«meet-and-greet» to happen… which of course happens more towards the closing of the bar so you have to stay and not go to any other clubs. What a typical ploy. The following week without any of their«celebrities» — nobody went. The bar closed early. What a waste. …isn’t this the place where people got stabbed? O. M. G. Never again!

This place is pretty interesting. I don’t really regular nightclubs like I use to, but I like this place. They have a dress code and I didn’t see a lot of riff-raff. The ratio of guys to girls is pretty nice(important for any dude). Nice atmosphere, lots of guys in suits, and lots of girls in nice dresses. I got in on a guest list, but it’s usually ten bucks. Girls get in for free(big surprise there -.-). Beer is priced well and liquor is like 8 bucks for a shot. They had three bars so I never had to wait long. I enjoyed the music, and even got a chance to talk to the owner. He was a pretty nice guy. I’ll be coming back.
