Sushi is on point! The fish is fresh. Great prices. Don’t let expensive sushi restaurants fool you, just because it’s pricey doesn’t mean it’s good. It is definitely good here. It doesn’t get a full 5 star because their other dishes are good but not as top notch as their sushi. Great sushi to grab and go as well. Great lunch specials! When we are in providence we also have this place as an option. My fiancé loves the hand rolls!

This place is great for lunch specials. I ordered 2 shrimp tempura roll, roll was nicely presented although shrimp was fried in dirty oil. I can honestly say that food isn’t bad, next time I pay Yo Shushi a visit I’ll ask for my food to be fresh.

We ordered sushi for our group delivery. Over $ 60 in sushi. They missed two rolls and when we called asking them to either send them out or just refund it they told us first that they made the rolls, which is irrelevant because they weren’t in the bag, and then told us that it was okay because they gave us one free roll. None of us can figure out which roll was free because it isn’t on the receipt but giving them a completely undeserved benefit of the doubt, a free roll we didn’t ask for isn’t the same as two rolls we did order. Absolutely horrible customer service. As an aside, the sushi itself was just kind of bland.

Delicious fresh sushi! It’s a cute little establishment with amazing food. The service was excellent & our waitress was very friendly.(I have to say it’s rare to find happy servers at sushi restaurants.) This is is by far on of my top sushi bars to eat at! They are fast and have top quality sushi! The ice cream is amazing too. Highly recommend! I know they are in the«not-so-nice» part of town, but they offer take out & delivery if you choose not to dine in! I know I’ll be getting take out from here if I don’t have the time to sit-in and eat. So glad we came across Yoo Sushi.

Pretty good for delivery sushi! Order arrived at my door in just 20 minutes. Got the seaweed salad, spicy crunchy tuna roll, and the summer roll. Seaweed salad is slightly spicy like another reviewer mentioned, still delicious. I was a little disappointed in the spicy crunchy tuna roll — the sauce and tuna were all mashed together like a spicy tuna salad. I prefer when I can recognize the tuna from the sauce. Summer roll was phenomenal. Ginormous portions. Would order from here again.

A life savor sushi take out spot. Do not judge the place based on appearance! Great sushi at an affordable price especially for a college student budget.

If you order the thai tea«with bubbles» in the description for delivery DON’T expect for there to be bubbles. I was super upset because that was the only reason I ordered the drink. I also had the beef teriyaki which was a different experience because I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Theres also a good amount of beef so that its shareable if you so desire. Scallion pancakes: The pancakes themselves don’t have much flavor but the curry completely makes up for it. I do wish there was more of the curry however I guess because the pancakes don’t really soak it up, its manageable. Would it be something that I would necessarily order over and over? No, but I would at least try it. Sashimi: The issue I had was that I had ordered for delivery and three different types of sashimi. They stuck them all in one box and didn’t label anything so I had no idea what I was eating. It was kind of annoying so I didn’t really even end up enjoying it.

Big fan of all of their rolls and their scallion pancake with curry dipping sauce. Friendly staff. I love that they deliver and their pick up is nice and simple. Food is always packaged safely for transport. Excellent prices. My favorite is their peanut avocado roll.

I live in the area, and I never would have thought to order delivery from this place unless I saw it on Unilocal.I’m so glad I tried it! I ordered tuna sashimi and a naruto roll, both were really good and fresh. Delivery was fast and service was friendly. Definitely give Yoo Sushi a try!

Yoo Sushi is a lifesaver for a busy, sushi loving working woman living in downtown Providence. Once we discovered that they deliver to our apartment, there has been no turning back! This is my first review(after ordering about 10 times) and I have never been disappointed. The sushi is constantly fresh and delicious, delivery is fast and free and they always include a freebie with an order over $ 30.00. Our favorites are the Scorpion roll(soft shell crab) and the tropical roll with tempura pineapple. We usually get a selection of nigiri with that as well. The garden salad is also amazing, we get it every time with extra ginger dressing. Definitely a great way to have a night in with a delicious meal and a movie. Thanks Yoo Sushi for many delicious dinners!

The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but we have only ever gotten delivery from You Sushi and I feel like sushi delivery should not be held to an incredibly high standard as you really should eat it as soon as it is made for the full effect. The main point is that I ordered with two other people, and while I was the only one to get food poisoning, 1⁄3 isn’t great odds. I was the only person to eat the Yummy Roll, the shrimp tempura, and the shrimp shumai, so it could have been any of those. As a pregnant person, I ordered all cooked dishes and I STILL got food poisoning, so if you are pregnant like me just skip the sushi altogether I guess. Also, I’m very thankful that my less than 2 year-old daughter was asleep on her nap, or I might have given her a couple bites of my Yummy Roll, and who knows if she would have gotten the same food poisoning? Horrifying to think of! Anyway, unless you want to spend the majority of your weekend on the toilet or with severe abdominal cramps, don’t order from this restaurant!

This was pretty tasty! The sushi roll was a little flattened in the container, though.

Delicious sushi. Ordered via grubhub while I was visiting a friend in Providence. I wish you delivered to Warwick! Loved the firecracker role and the crunchy spicy tuna role. Shrimp shumai, had them steamed, were tasty. I liked my shrimp tempura role but there was too much cucumber for me. I’m allergic to avocado so I’m used cucumber substitute, but there was more than I’d expected. However the shrimp tempura itself was awesome. Definitely ordering again.

The«crunchy spicy» tuna and salmon rolls I ordered were both mushy and virtually flavorless. The texture was so off-putting I was concerned the fish was not actually sushi grade. I ate one piece of each and threw it away in disgust. The tom yum goong was very flavorful but was mainly broth with two shrimp, a few morsels of clam, two pieces of carrot, and a lot of poorly sliced onion. The seaweed salad was also tasty, although about ¼ of the container turned out to be a bottom layer of iceberg lettuce. Don’t waste your money like I did.

I ordered the seaweed salad and the cabbage soup(forgot the exact name) for delivery; additionally, I had a few bites of a coworker’s pad Thai. The seaweed salad was fine — though not the best I’ve ever had. The cabbage soup wasn’t very flavorful, and the pad Thai noodles were oddly sweet(and a bizarre orange color). Overall, this place didn’t blow me away — granted, I didn’t have any of their sushi either. I’ll order from here again, and maybe my opinion will change.

Delivery was quick, and they were affordable. The sushi was decent, I would say mid-range from the others in Providence but good for delivery. The soups were tasty, and delivery was fast. The«summer rolls» were awful. Not rolled tight at all, with wide rice noodles in them instead of vermicelli, and no basil from what I could taste, and the lettuce was all wrong. That’s what I get for trying to get summer rolls from a Japanese restaurant, though.

I would have never stopped at Yoo for lunch had I not seen the good reviews here on Unilocal. The thought of raw fish combined with it being not the best neighborhood was intimidating. So, thank you Unilocalers! I had the lunch special at the suggestion of the very pleasant server. I sat at the«bar» and the chef made me a free app that was basically seaweed salad inside of sliced avocado with a tobiko topping. Looked like a scoop of green ice cream and tasted great. Ended up having 3 rolls, a garden salad and the free app for $ 11.29. Everything, including the wasabi, was fresh and tasty. Presentation was surprisingly great too. Overall, not a place for a glamorous night out but rather a great sushi place for the money!

Yeah, Im pretty much done with this place. The foods sub-par. I just keep choosing it because its close to work and home. Ordered a Donburi bento, it was just meh, although the egg was perfectly cooked. The food was super bland. I cant find anything outstanding about this place. Im moving on… Food was neatly packaged though, that’s important.

I’ve driven by this place multiple times and, with a new found love for sushi, I decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I were the only ones here for lunch around 3pm on a Wednesday. We started with an order of chicken maki which was delicious. I had the super lobster roll(one word, AMAZING) and although I can’t recall the names, both signature rolls my boyfriend tried were tasty as well. We spent over $ 30 so were offered either edamame or California roll on the house. Finished our meal with fried ice cream to share which was, you guessed it, DIVINE. Service was amazing, and the plating is quite impressive. 5 well deserved stars with no complaints! Don’t let the location steer you away!

I’ve been a couple times to try the sushi here. The location is a little suspect. It was also very cold inside. Interesting décor. Small space, enough for the few patrons that were dining on the one occasion I «sat in». The other time, I went to take out. Of note, they do deliver, as well. I had the yellow tail with jalapeño, which was quite good. The Naruto roll is also yummy, sushi wrapped with cucumber and no rice. The spicy pepper tuna was good, but not excellent. I found the albacore to be very fresh. The avocado salad was wonderful, and the ginger dressing very tasty. I was not the biggest fan of the Philly role or the Red Snapper sushi. The prices are reasonable and the service hospitable. I’d give them another try.
