Century

This is a fabulous store for wonderfully designed objects for the home as well as for personal accesories. The staff is very helpful and the owner goes the extra mile in customer service.

Started out for a day of shopping in PTown looking for some off-​season deals and special finds. High on my need list was a wallet so when I came upon Century on my first stop, I was delighted to find an awesome collection of Italian-​made wallets that were beautiful examples of thoughtful design. I had seen them before at the gift shop that the Institute of Contemporary Art and I loved them.
I was ready to splurge but it was my first stop and dropping over $ 100 for a wallet without checking out the sales didn’t make sense for me, but there was one I loved and I asked them to hold it for me for a couple hours.
The thing is I really wanted it and was pretty sure, maybe 80% sure, that I would be back for it, I just wanted to make sure I knew what my options were.
The woman told me they had more, to imply that there was no need to hold it for me, but when I asked if there was any doubt I would have the option and she smugly said no guarantees. If there were more of them, it should not have been a problem to hold one for me for two hours.
If someone wants to pay over $ 100 for a wallet, the least you can do is offer friendly and accommodating customer service.
I left on a mission to find a wallet at another store that I liked as much because i was 100% sure I did not want to go back and give them my money. just a crappy vibe.

This is a great little store that can compete with any high end shop in Los Angeles. The brands, are A list and the service what you would expect from this charming resort town.
I bought an Alissi bowl from Brenda and she was extremely helpful and friendly. If you’re interested in modern cool stuff this is the place in P-​town

What a great store-​unique household items and décor and wonderful variety of jewelry. My partner and I purchase commitment rings here about 10 years ago. Mine snagged on something and stretched out a part of it so I wanted to see if they still had the ring so I could buy a replacement. I emailed Rene and sent him a photograph. He thought he found it and sent it to me. Unfortunately, it was close but not an exact match. For about a year he has been trying to find the replacement to no avail. He refunded my money. Rene has been awesome and has shown me what the epitome of customer service is. I will shop here on my next visit to Ptown and encourage people to stop in to his store and see what wonderful items he has.

A great store that I visit EVERY time I go to visit P’town… I have bought a couple of rings, necklaces, a bracelet and a watch there as well as a few gifts… The staff is knowledgeable and personable. They just wowed me yet again during my last trip — I had a ring that had a stone that was lost — went in to see if it could be fixed. They replaced it on the spot for FREE!. They noted that I am a good customer and they know I shop there often. THAT just blew me away! … Love the place and will obviously continue to shop there!

I have to tell my story… I had been shopping for many months, maybe a year or more for a sterling silver necklace. Something masculine but not to big, something unusual and not the same old thing you see everywhere. I found it at Century.
Within a few weeks I had a problem with the necklace and being many hours away from P Town I contacted Rene the owner by phone. He handled the issue, text book perfect! He was absolutely fantastic. I ended up sending him the necklace back and he had a whole new necklace made special, just to make things right!
In a world where so many people and business never take any personal responsibility… a world where so many businesses say they will do this and do that. But, when the time comes you are left on your own… Century was OUTSTANDING!
I could not possibly recommend this great store more!!!

What a great little store Century is. I was lured to the store by the three black birds in the window display. The store has very unique, contemporary gift ideas. They carry today’s it designers.
We ended up buying a beautiful Nambe salad bowl with servers, a very cool stainless steel salt and pepper mill and hubby got a male jewelry box for his cuff links etc.
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and we hope to return and spend more $$$ at this cool store.

Just bought a really cool watch today. Staff was real nice and everything in the store is unique.

The watch case brought me into this store. They had some very interesting watches and also a few interesting and funky kitchen items. I ended up buying a small wallet and loved seeing the unique items here. I will most certainly stop back by this place next time I am in town.
