Seriously the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in Provo. House burrito. Ice cream chimichanga. Pure joy.

In all my years of eating out I’ve never had such horrific service. It was our first time there. We stood out of the way to look at the menu(no one else was there waiting), the whole time the cashier tapped her fingers in impatience and kept giving us dirty looks. We ordered. When I got my fish tacos I didn’t realize they were on flour tortillas. I asked if I could get a couple of corn tortillas(I was willing to pay for them seeing it was my mistake for not asking), the cashier grabbed my plate and headed back to the kitchen. I followed her and told her there was no need to make a new order. I only needed two corn tortillas. She quickly said something to the Cook in Spanish and he took my tray and threw it in the trash. I told him he did not need to make me anything that all I needed was two tortillas. He didn’t say much. Later the cashier came with my new tray. I tried to explain again but she just dropped my food onto the table looked up at the ceiling and rolled her eyes and walked off and wouldn’t speak to us. Although the food was fine and the place was immaculate, we will never go back again. We are sad because our favorite Mexican food restaurant had just closed and we were looking for a new favorite. This week definitely not be it.

Update: today I came in again hopeful that it would be better and something horrible happened. I asked for no sour cream on my burrito. A few minutes later I went up to the front to get a water cup and the cook WASWIPINGTHESOURCREAMOFFTHEINSIDEOFMYBURRITOWITH A DIRTYDISHRAG. he made eye contact and then in a shocked voice asked if I was allergic to sour cream. No but now I’m allergic to your restaurant bro.

The California burritos are the best I’ve had outside of California. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is friendly. My favorite Mexican place in Utah.

I’m super picky, so I ordered a cheese enchilada. Just cheese. I asked the woman what was in it and on it and she said just cheese, and she kinda laughed at me for asking. Lo and behold, it comes out with beans and stuff on it and i look up at my boyfriend and tell him I won’t eat it. He goes up to the counter, and asks if they could make me a just cheese enchilada. The woman replies thats what I ordered and she’s not gonna do anything about it. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Food looked great, I wish I could have eaten it if the service wasn’t so god awful.

So far so good. I’m not sure how I’ve never heard of this place until now but my initial foray has made me excited to try more. I ordered the veggie burrito and I expected the standard beans, rice, cheese, lettuce that is typical for that order. I was pleasantly surprised that they put grilled vegetables in the burrito as well and that the flavor was quite good. There wasn’t too much of any one ingredient but there could have been just a little more sour cream or guacamole because I love those. The staff was very friendly and it wasn’t too crowded even on a weekday lunch near campus. My only complaint was that the drink selection was limited to just the standard fountain sodas. No tea or horchata. Also the salsa bar only had a couple of different salsa options(standard pico de gallo, a green salsa and some sort of creamy something that might have been a salad dressing).

Do you want flash-fried potatoes in an orgasmic burrito? Eat here, it’s amazing, and if it goes out of business I’ll lose it. The ingredients are fresh, the service is good, and the abundance of chips is refreshing. Make sure you help yourself to their salsa bar!

What can I say? I left full, couldn’t finish my food, and everything tasted amazing. The establishment was clean and friendly. I can’t wait to return. Emanuel is a saint.

Tried the Chicken/Avocado/Bacon wrap — amazing! Delicious and tasted fresh. Was surprised how big the wrap was, ate half and saved the rest for later. Would definitely come back to something else on the menu.

Where to begin? I have been coming here for about three years now. If you want a good filling meal, then come here. I have never left hungry. Also use the cilantro lime sauce, it is there best.

California burrito is a standout burrito. Chicken can be a little too spicy if you never eat spicy food, other than that it’s one of my favorite burritos in Provo.

I’ve been here many times. It’s one of the best Mexican food joints in the Provo-Orem area. Delicious food, friendly service, muy bien :)

We tried Emanuel’s for the first time tonight. It was exactly what we were looking for. I got a Chile Verde burrito which was really good but didn’t have as much meat in it as I would have liked. My husband got the carne asada plate which he enjoyed also. We’ll come back but will probably try something new!

I’ve seen tons of businesses come and go at this location but these guys better stay! I had their carne asada tacos and loved that the meat was lean but still flavorful. I try to eat healthy and I didn’t feel bad after eating here. The only reason for a 4 and not 5 stars is I think they should have complementary pico. I had to pay extra for a tiny bit of pico to go on my tacos. Overall though it was super good.

3.6. So I will round up. The food is pretty tasty but it is pretty expensive. ANDTHEYDONTHAVEALPASTOR!!! I went about a year and a half ago and they said they were talking with the health department… or something… in order to have al pastor. and still not al pastor. So that kind of knocked them down a little bit for me. ALPASTOR!!! Nonetheless it is a good clean environment with reasonably priced food that is good… nothing amazing but good. I enjoyed eating what I paid for. But in my own personal opinion I think that it is kind of over priced for the quality. But in a zombie apocalypse it would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it. MYPLATTER: Burrito(full of meat cover in chile verde), taco(chicken with lettuce and tomato), enchilada(cheese covered with a red salsa). Enchilada and taco are pretty average sized the burrito is pretty big. THEVERDICT: this is a must if you are in to mexican food. if you dont fancy mexican food that much then I do not suggest you go here. It is within walking distance to my house so… laziness takes me to this place on occasion.

Utah county is no Long Beach when it comes to California burritos. I’ve had a hard time finding them anywhere so it was exciting to see that Emanuel’s does one. To make things even better, it is amazing! The guac is fresh, the potatoes are crispy, the steak is flavorful, and it is big! With their super flavorful salsa bar it is hard to beat. It is a bit pricier than most«fast food» Mexican but it’s worth it.
