Good brisket, ok pulled pork, stellar mac & cheese. Simple, filling, and somewhere I will probably go back.

I feel bad giving this place three measley stars… the owner was very friendly and the location is an interesting reclamation of an old used car lot. But I must remain objective. There’s too much at stake. I picked this spot to try for our weekly Frunch meetup. There were a few customers there already, but it certainly wasn’t crowded. I ordered a brisket sandwich after the owner informed us that the pork wasn’t very good that day. I ordered beans as my side dish after the owner informed us that they were out of cole slaw. When my food arrived, I was informed that they had also just run out of beans, so I was given a cup with the remaining bean-dregs and bean-juice and a half order of mac-and-cheese-and-starch-and-fat-and-sodium. They’d also forgotten to put the onions on my sandwich. They were apologetic, but the level or disorganization was not congruent with the small number of customers present. I like that they had outdoor seating, but the tables were a bit dodgy. The food was all fine. Not bad, not great. It provided nourishment. Overall it’s not a bad place for meating, but it would benefit from a few improvements.

Everything is smoked. Smoked ribs, smoked brisket, smoked chicken, smoked pork, smoked beans. I sat outside to soak up some sun, the smoker was going, and now I have a smoke ring. Is it cannibalistic masturbation to eat one’s own flesh? I got me a brisket sandwich and mac & cheese. I liked it okay. The sauce was a little too sweet, and the meat was decent, though not exemplary. If asked to go again I would, and I would bathe in the beans. All the drinks are in bottles, and today really required ice. As with so many other things, dental floss would improve this experience. Especially for trying down my friends and eating their brisket.

This is a weird Review for me to write I had lunch here today the owner is really nice and the food was very High Quality The Ribs were some of the best I’ve had I also got a pulled pork sandwich and the sauce has cut onions in it I don’t like onions myself so this made my sandwich not very enjoyable. That aside it was a very moist and tender sandwich and I’m not going to downgrade it’s score because of a something I didn’t like that other may love. The food was top notch if you don’t like chunks of onion you may want to warn the guy so he is careful with the sauce. this is probably the best BBQ in the state.

I am from North Carolina, so when I read reviews claiming«awesome BBQ» in Provo Utah, you will understand that I was more than a little skeptical. Back home we claim to have both invented and perfected barbecue. I don’t know whether that claim is true, but people take the craft seriously. I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I have sampled the last three state champions and I know what I like. The place certainly looks authentic. It is just an elevated shack in a sprawling parking lot, with no indoor seating and a few tables out on the pavement. That’s a good sign. Never trust a flashy barbecue joint. Against all odds, the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. Absolutely perfect. The meat was tender, the sauce was delicious and plentiful. And the side of beans were to die for. At $ 8+ it was pretty steep, but definitely worth a visit.

Small joint. Has enough room to order and for prepping the food. Outdoor seating. Has wifi access. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side order of chili and baked beans. The pork was very good. The spice mix was fairly mild so it should appeal to a wide audience. The pork was very tender! Both the chili and baked beans were quite good. I personally liked the baked beans best.

Very good BBQ. Pork was very tender, beans and chili excellent. Oak smoked, tomato sauce. No inside seating so a little difficult in the winter. Mild flavor is well balanced.

The brisket and the macaroni are to die for! I have eaten at a lot of BBQ restaurants in my life and this is by far one of the best and the best I’ve eaten in UT. Super neat little family restaurant where you can defiantly taste their love and passion for what they’re doing in the food! Prices are good too. they’re open 11:30−7.
