Island Fresh

Love it! The owners are amazing and deliver fresh local Veges and fruit. We used this service during the first several mos after our third child was born. I was so overwhelmed & needed help. This service helped me provide fresh food to my family without leaving the house. Loved we had the choice to go organic as well. ALSO loved the add on of local baked goods.

When I first used this company with its original owners it was great. The box was full of great items and they paid close attention to the foods I did not like and they didn’t send them to me. Once it went under new ownership things changed. I started receiving things that I would give away because I wouldn’t eat them, really heavy items so there was not much else in the box and already rotten food. I was not compensated for the bad produce or the produce I had to give away. I am very saddened by this as I really liked supporting local farmers here on Maui. I did find out in the end some items offered were coming from the upcountry farmers market and were being charged at least double price like the mac nuts for example. I tried to work things out for over a year but it just got to the point of I was tired of the negative communication every other month about the box. I hope they get it together as it is a great concept.

Island Fresh is an awesome service for anyone, especially those who are concerned with consuming a healthy diet, as well as helping to support our local farmers and economy. For less than what you can purchase regular produce for at the store, you can have locally grown, fresh, organic fruits, vegetables and herbs delivered to your door on a weekly or bi-​weekly basis. The great thing is that you select how often you would like the deliveries and tell them how many people are in your household, so you aren’t getting too much of a good thing. Keep up the great work Island Fresh!
