Don’t do business at this store — STAY AWAY.
I recently purchased an item and upon returning it the store, the owner, Steve, said no returns on the item. I was surprised to hear this as there was no posting anywhere in the store and he said «too bad». When I tried to expain my position he said «he didn’t won’t to hear it and didn’t care». I replied that is a terrible way to conduct business and that I try to patronize small local business in downtown to which he replied «great I am not taking it back». I left the store.
When I returned home I was seathing not from the inability to return the item but the way I was treated as a customer. I called on the phone and guess what? he hung up on me. I will never do business with this store, I will make sure my friends are aware of this and I am sending an email to the PGCC to make them aware.
This person should not be in business and is a poor representative of the Punta Gorda business community.

We were visiting here on vacation & stopped in looking for am Item that I have had trouble finding in NY. The got it for me at a stellar price. Told the owner Steve that I’d like to get more and would be calling from NY to order more. When I called he acted like I ripped him off on the price, and stated it should have been each not the factory pack of 10 that I purchase at all other ACE stores. He didn’t even off to sell me more at whatever his new price was! He set the price, I paid what he asked. If he made a mistake he needs to own it.

This Ace store has been around as long as I can remember. Love having it downtown close to my office. The staff is extremely helpful. And their keys always work!
