SOOO, this place is a YES!
I’ve been there a few times now. Usually for lunch and every part has been enjoyable.
Slightly edgy but affordable menu-​for the area, fresh ingredients and their waitstaff is friendly, accommodating and well-​informed.
Their bar area is really attractive and their dining area as well. Will return soon!

Would have loved to sit outside and enjoy the live music but it was just too hot. The good: caprese salad, chowder, mashed potatoes and scallops were all so so. The bad: the crab cake was the consistency and color of canned tuna. The mahi mahi was bland. The sauces were too sweet for mild fish. There are better places especially for the price.

Best place by far in Punta Gorda !! I will definitely go back again and again !

Seafood platter with 2 lg scallops, 2 shrimp, a lg crab cake and mahi mahi, all grilled were absolutely the best !

Nothing bad to say about this place. The service was wonderful, the food full of flavor and priced accordingly. Even the drinks were great! Met a friend here for dinner and would definitely go again.

We have eaten at Jack’s three times now in recent weeks and we have enjoyed it every time! The menu has a lot of variety and the specials are priced right. Presentation is very pleasing and the service is excellent. High marks for the atmosphere as well. We’ll be back!

Very good food and service! We had dinner here and enjoyed everything. Macadamia crusted goat cheese, sea scallops, Tuscan chicken… all were yummy. Portions are good for the price and the staff is great. Would definitely recommend!

Such a surprise… don’t at all agree with 3.5 stars… great menu and service was excellent… loved the Baja wrap and the calypso seafood soup was excellent.

Had a simple hamburger here for lunch today and it was very good. Atmosphere was lovely clean and the service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back for dinner

New to the area, decided to take my family out to a local business, my server was Tammy by far the worst service ever, when asked for a manager, all the red head did was duck my table. My wife and daughter were extremely hungry and tired, seem like the server had no idea how to put our order in. It took 15 minutes just to get out drinks then another 25 for my daughters tasteless macaroni and cheese… then at 50 mins still no entrees and after asking numerously times to speak to a manager, I decided to threw cash down for my drinks and the uneaten macaroni and cheese, and walk out. On my way out I saw the manager, I thanked her for her horrible service, she didn’t even give me the slightest apology. Honestly this establishment deserves 0 stars!

Staying the night in PG for a trip out of Boca Grande the next day. Just looking for a nice place to eat and talk. This was close to the hotel so went in and saw numerous empty tables including tables in the bar. We were asked if we had a «reservation» odd, but whatever so we said no and waited for a table even though there were «reserved» booths in the bar going empty?
Waitress came right away and took drink order. Brought drinks and took about 20 min to come back for good order. Took about another 20 – 25 to get salad/​soup. Then food about another 10, all the while manager came by once but not server? Good came out, had the seafood sampler, it was very good but took and other 20 to pay check and had to track waitress down to do that. I gave it two stars for excellent food and that’s about it.

The atmosphere is not at all relaxing, and gives the feeling that the restaurant was recently converted from some other kind of store, with not much thought given to the décor at all.
The bar, however, contains both local brews and several other popular options. I ordered a beer from Boca, and was pleasantly surprised.
The food: I ordered the «seared salmon», which I’d usually expect to come with some sort of glaze, or at the very least to be seared enough to create a crunchy-​ish shell around the salmon filet. My filet was certainly baked — not seared — and came with a vegetable medley (zuchini and squash) that was covered in a sweet red sauce; a curiously poor choice for a fish plate. Needless to say, I can’t recommend the salmon, which for a seafood-​focused restaurant is disappointing to say the least.
The staff was curteous and attentive — frankly, I came away thinking that even they deserved better than Jacks on Marion had to offer. All in all, 1 star for the bar, and 1 for the staff.

We had the firecracker shrimp, divola mussels and shrimp and grits. All were excellent and our service was outstanding. We had a sever from Illinois that asked about where we were from. She brought over another server from Minnesota to share her thoughts on the area. Very welcoming.

I’ve heard very good things about this place, so I decided to give it a try but my first visit was not as pleasant as I hoped for. To begin with, I wasn’t very fond of the area I was seated, it was very dark with no lighting above the table. I usually don’t mind low lighting, but this was just a little too dark and there was nothing to view during my long wait for the food.
The food was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary, I was a little bummed out with the menu. I wish there would’ve been a larger selection. However, the service is very good, the waitress was very attentive. I’m willing to give the place another try.

I really enjoyed my meal here today. Services were good and foods were tasty. The atmosphere here was really nice and warm. Definitely come back!

Fantastic specials! We adored the steaks, and asparagus and flexibility with the menu due to our dietary needs. Our server was was very attentive and sweet. Id like to see more Palio options on the menu, as well as cooler air-​conditioning. Overall, we were very pleased and will be back!

Just got back from Jacks and thought I’d write a quick review. We were across the street at Ace and I said to my SO, we’ve never been to Jacks so let’s give it a try. We walked over and sat at the indoor bar because it was just baking outside. We were between services and enjoyed the laid back comfortable atmosphere and the engaging staff. We were shown a bar menu but nothing looked appetizing. I totally would have purchased an order of hummus had I seen it on the menu (saw it on another’s review.) Not sure we saw the quesadillas on the bar menu either. Maybe they don’t offer the dining room menu to the bar crowd but maybe they should. Still, loved the cool a/​c, location and the clientele. Take a look at my cool indoor photo looking out. Hope my PG Unilocal Stalker (here on out known as the PGYS) doesn’t start stalking me here as well because I really want to go back. LOL.

Historic downtown Punta Gorda, 1.5 walking distance from the pier! Corner location so there is a nice view to people watch! We are here for lunch, I ordered Calypso Seafood soup and salad, both very yummy! Jeff ordered the Pressed Cuban and he’s loving it! Service is delightful, it’s still early for lunchers! Atmosphere is very open, inviting and fun! I’m sure it would be a great place to bring friends
