Great neighborhood friendly family pub type. Fantastic hamburgers but the french fries are the GREATEST! Tomato soup is so yummy. Always crowded, always friendly.

One of the best restaurants in North Salem. The Blazer Pub has a great selection of food from hamburgers and cheeseburgers to wings and salads. The servers and bartender are very helpful and nice by recommending different food choices on the menu. There is also a cute little arcade with a pac man machine. It also offers a great outdoor seating in the summertime with a nice view of the road!

I know it’s cool to say you ate at The Blazer Pub but I don’t know what all the hoopla is about with their award winning burgers. I’ve had them twice and besides being more like a huge meatball, there is absolutely no seasoning on them at all. They just taste like chop meat if that makes any sense. Cooking 101: salt and pepper on your meat. I honestly could make the same tasting burgers at home and I’m no chef. They are served on a plate which is WAY too small and stacked WAY too high with the toppings. That doesn’t make for an enjoyable eating experience but I absolutely love the french fries… yum. I’ve had their homemade soups and they happen to be exceptional. Service? Meh… I can’t believe I actually said«meh»…that was my first time and I think I used the word properly.

Wow! Huge burger and good old fashioned steak fries. A small order of fries are just enough for two people to share. No complaints!

Great bar for hanging out with friends or watching the game. Great burgers, amazing chili, great wings. The burgers are thick and juicy and the buns are too small so get the hard roll instead of the bun it comes with. Also the fries are huge gut busters, steak cut and thick. The place gets packed at times especially on the weekends since it’s the local watering hole. All in all, good beer, great burgers and nice staff.

The blazer burger has basically become famous at this point in Westchester, and I can see why. The blazer is a staple in the community, and while it’s not fine dining, people need to take it for what it is… It’s one of the best burger and beer bars I’ve ever been to and have nothing bad to say about it. You also need to try their wings!

This is where the locals go, as well as so many like myself who are more then willing to detour 15-minutes for their awesome burgers and more here! Their selections of tap beer tend to have something for Jay about everyone, including two from Westchester’s own Captain Lawrence and SingleCut IPA drum Queens — but they do change pretty regularly! Try their Chili — topped with cheese and onions, it’s the way to go! The Blazer Onion is also a great way to start. When it’s soup you want — I suggest the **cream of tomato with bacon soup**! The burgers are the main event here! Always cooked to Perfection, juicy and full of flavor! Top just the way you like, and if you so choose serve on a Kaiser roll instead of a hamburger bun! Definitely in the top 2 when it comes to the best burgers in Westchester! But this place has the best fries around — hand cut, fresh, homemade and not at all small! I don’t even know if they have desserts, because in my twenty years of coming to Blazer, I don’t remember ever getting dessert other than driving down the road to King Kone(in season)!

Food was good as always, but the bun didn’t fit the burger. The burger was HUGE but I think I had a slider bun. The proportion was off. Yes, I know, it’s great to have your burger ratio bigger than the bun, but this was way out of proportion. Burger was AWESOME… just need a litte bit bigger bun so that it hold all the stuff together, at least after the first bite.

Fun location! I came for lunch and I left impressed with the quality of the food. The clam chowder was really, really good and my wife’s burger looked supreme. Plenty of seating away from the bar for a quieter environment, or enjoy the horseshoe bar while chatting with the locals. Only downside, it’s cash only(ATM is on the premises, but of course there is a bank fee).

Ok burgers. Seems the NYC Sunday drivers and leaf peepers seem to think it’s heaven on earth, but really the burgers are average pub fare.

Cozy, filled with locals, currently decked out from top to bottom in Christmas decorations for the holidays, The Blazer Pub was a great spot to grab lunch on the road. Food here is big on flavor, and HUGE on portion size. A small fries can easily be shared between three people, and sandwiches and salads are gargantuan. But don’t skip the cream of tomato soup — it’s clear why it’s award-winning(oh. my. god. so. good.) Note: cash only!(ATM inside)

My family used to come here all the time when I was a kid but hadn’t been in years for some reason. We’ve been missing out, The Blazer is still the best. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and our food was served quickly. We shared a plate of fries, which are thick cut and delicious, and a Bloomin’ Onion, which was perfectly crunchy and came with excellent dipping sauce. My burger was perfectly cooked and the Cobb salad I split with my mom was huge but excellent. I would definitely come here again!

A little after five on a Saturday. In an isolated stretch of road alongside the interstate. Squeezed in to a tight parking spot in front of the restaurant — didn’t realize there was a large parking lot on the side of the building. Restaurant busy but not full. Sat at a table in the front dining room. A peek in the bar area looked crowded. Waitress very friendly and prompt. Drinks served promptly, as was food. The tomato and bacon soup was delicious. Cobb salad was very good — and large(took half of it home). And the Blazer Burger had to be eaten with a knife and fork — no way to pick it up in your hands. Burger cooked medium exactly as requested. By the time the food was served, the place was crowded and people were waiting for tables. Can’t wait to come back when we are in the area again. Oh, they DONOT take credit cards! Kind of surprising, and there is no notice posted. Glad we had cash with us, otherwise will probably be washing dishes.

Stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant after a day of apple picking with 7 of our friends from Buffalo. We enjoyed a delicious lunch along with a great selection of seasonal beers. We asked what the most popular items on the menu were and were advised to order the wings, chili, blazer burger & cod Reuben. Coming from Buffalo we were intrigued with the popularity of the wings… And without question, THEYWEREGREAT& the blue cheese was on point. Not to mention, we ordered every other item recommended and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Can’t forget to mention that the service was amazing!!! Thank you for a great lunch and wonderful experience! –The Buffalo Crew.

Decent pub food with a few vegetarian options. The grilled cheese came open faced, which was strange. The fries were huge but dry and overfried. The arcade games were a nice touch.

UPDATE6÷3÷2016 I l LOVE when I can do this – augment a rating from a 1 star to a 5!!! I am keeping my original up for 2 reasons – always give a place a second chance and also to let people know how you originally felt for it gives the place and you more credibility. After much hype, yes still much hype, we ventured back to this Burger mecca with an open mind and this time, we ordered the traditional wings, cheeseburgers, an order of fries and their homemade potato salad – it was just me and the stud. The waitress this time was fabulous(Virginia) and so perky. The wings came and they looked meaty, juicy and were appealingly plump – the taste, just as dreamy as their appearance… these were fabulous!!! Great in zip, texture and flavor. Then our burgers came – I mayoed my bun and trimmed down the jurassic piece of lettuce they generously give you and layered my burger appropriately for me. My tastebuds were simply elated!!! Juicy, rare and tasty – like an old fashion hamburger use to taste – you could taste the meat… I devoured this remnant of what was once a cow like it was my last meal. The fries were fat and chunky – generally I am not a fan of those because the insides are not cooked but these so proved me wrong – they were cooked, tasted fresh and crisp and soo addicting. The sides of fries are rather large, so a small is actually good for 4, especially if you are splitting wings. The potato salad was tasty – I generally am not a fan of «outside“potato salad because many tend to overdress it with mayonnaise, and bang, they think they got a good potato salad going, but not here – they do more lavish things to their salad to give it some pizzaz. When we were done with our meal, Vivacious Virginia asked us how it was and we told her terrific and, we did tell her about our previous debacle – I felt like i was telling a child Santa wasn’t real – she was crushed and so apologetic– she couldn’t stop thanking us for trying them again and was so happy that she could give us a positive experience. Naturally, we hit the PAC-MAN game and we were devastated that the quick chip was removed(serious big sigh, BUT we still had the taste of that amazing cheeseburger lingering on) As we were playing, the owner approached us and apologized for our first experience there and thanked us profusely for giving them another chance… she was so sweet and so accommodating. We returned again with the gang and the owner greeted us with open arms. We ordered the same as last. This time, all the burgers unfortunately came out Medium well, but they were juicy. When she checked in on us, we told her the truth and she was so embarrassed that she gave us the meal on the house. We have been back since, and always great grub – we haven’t ventured far form burgers, fries and wings… why ruin a good thing! OLDREVIEW… We start off with a cup of the infamous tomato soup with bacon-I enjoyed it as well as our kid but not the man of the house-he equated it to tasting like vodka sauce and he loves vodka sauce but on pasta, not as soup… and as we ate it, we could see his point but we still enjoyed it. The BBQ wings were very good-BBQ sauce is right on key here with great flavor and zing. The double fried buffalo wings(not on the menu, there was the hint) were not up to snuff at all as they lacked taste and spice-wish we had tried the regular buffalo wings instead. Now let’s talk burger-we are burger people-we ordered the burgers medium rare and rare-2 chili burgers and the blazer burger. Chili just had a bit of heat but no flavor at all, so for chili, they get a 1 out of 10. One of these ridiculously messy havocs was well done, the other was medium, clearly not the way we ordered. My burger’s bacon was a bit overcooked and my burger tasted medium well as opposed to rare-I left half the burger because it did nothing for me and I really wasn’t enjoying it. The unfriendly waitress came by to check on us finally towards the last bite of my burger-really? Had she come before, we would have sent them back for remakes. We took the leftovers home to give to the dogs as they would enjoy this mixture with their dry food. Overall, burgers lacked flavor, taste, moistness. Steak fries are great-but not here-sorry fans… they should be cooked just a little and have a bit of flavor to them… that wasn’t just me, that was all three of us. In short, BBQ wings were good, but the only highlight to this joint was bringing down the high score to their speed-chip Ms Pac-Man and having the wait staff all give us nasty sneers at our departure after we told them to bag the leftovers for the dogs. Way too much hype for crappy food! We’ll stick to Louis lunch in New Haven, Corner Bistro in NYC or black Duck in Westport-now those are burgers!!!
