Just an average burger, bland & buns are not toasted. I only adding this so they can step it up, the areas needs a good burger.

Went on a whim with friends for early and drinks. We had a great time and a great meal. Vege burger with sweet potatoes fries were delicious, my friend had the burger salad which is a burger, no bun on top of a salad, she loved it. Portions are generous. Several Tvs in bar for watching sports, football, and good music in background. We had a great meal, no crowds, and exceptionally friendly service. Will definately come back here! Oh and bar tender said Thursday night they have trivia nite, might check that out too.

I have gone to the Burger Barn approximately 6 times. The first time the burger was too greasy and on a tiny plate. It was OK, but difficult to eat. The next few times, I asked for it to be on a larger dish so that I could eat the burger and/or fries easily. This time the burger was actually good(not too greasy). My family was with me and they all enjoyed the burgers whenever they go. I will go again, but always get my burger MYWAY. I did not like all of my meal put into a little tray.(Now my way). Try it.

Unique menu choices, above average service & all around good place. The good: –The Speakeasy Prohibition Amber Ale was a very tasty beer. –The fried pickles were nice & crisp. –The Truffle Shuffle Burger was cooked perfectly(Very rare like i requested) & had a nice truffle flavor. I love how you can almost taste the burger(by smelling it) before you bite. –If you’re super hungry you can add an extra parry for a bit more. –If you’re a kid at heart you can draw on the table topper with the provided crayons. The meh: –I was hoping that for $ 8 i would have gotten a bit more fried pickles($ 7.75 to be exact). –The onion rings were good, however forgettable. I’m very close to giving this 5 stars but its just missing something that puts it in the exclusive rank of perfect.

Quite possibly the best burger i had in a decade! dont even know fully why it was so good but the flavor of the burger, even minus all the fancy stuff i got on it, and how it was grilled was just so amazing. I got the Truffle Shuffle… holy cow, that was good! Even the craft beer selection was quite impressive. Im from San Diego CA so i KNOW what quality craft beer means. it wasnt a huge selection but does one always have to have a choice of 100 beers to be happy? All i need is a dozen to choose from and im happy. The waitress was awesome and the owner popped by and chatted and felt like he was an old buddy within 10 minutes. Unfortunately i wont be able to go back too often, but when i do return to NY periodically i WILL be making it a required stop.

Nice try, but stays out of the top tier. Everything seems a notch below«good.» Noisy beyond belief. Lifeless burger presentation. So-so to the extreme. The ambient noise was a punishment.

I ordered a cheese burger with bacon and the burger was a decent size but not very well seasoned. Bacon was good. The French fries tasted really good so that’s a thumbs up. Burger needs to be seasoned better and than it would be five stars

Once you leave the booming metropolis of mount Kisco dining options are limited In the 914. After hearing that this place got a burger award I had to stop in and give the burger a try. Got the bacon cheeseburger. Cheeseburger was a bit more well done than I like it but it was juicy. Presentation was nice and the atmosphere was inviting. I sat by the bar. If I were a local I would come here to grab a beer and burger often. The blazer still has the best burger in the area, but this place is worth checking out.

Had a great burger and fries. Very satisfied. Great flavor and a nice variety of add ons for the burgers. Like the fries in the paper cone. Extensive beer menu too. Friendly and efficient staff. Plus I love crayons and getting to color before I eat.

I like the burger barn. Here is what is good. Beef is quality. They cook super hot so outside is crispy and inside is rare. Great beer selection. No waits. Nice staff. Super clean.

Had lunch at this Burger Barn on 7⁄22. It was pretty empty so I was a little skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good! Quick, friendly, helpful. The menu had some good variety. When I got my meal, it looked really good. The burger was very good. The fries were very over done, so that was disappointing. I would definitely try it again.

Everything was excellent except for the actual meat in the burger patty; which of course ruined the entire burger. That being said, they cooked the burger perfectly to my request(medium rare). I had the Tex-Mex burger the toppings bacon, avocado, Pico de Gallo and Monterey Jack; the toppings were of good quality substantial but did not over power the actual burger. The Fried Pickles were the best I’ve had, the fries excellent, I added the chipotle sauce on my burger and for my fries it was also very well done. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They have a very nice selection of craft beer on tap which is a big plus, good wine, and fair prices. I’d give the burger a second chance and the Mac and Cheese looked good. And even if the burger was the same I’d go back and just have beer and apps and be happy.

Exceptional beer selection… really solid burgers and awesome homemade fries. I didn’t have high hopes but the bacon cheeseburger impressed me! I don’t give 5 stars to any place I haven’t been to three times so… to be continued

My first time here. Just wanted to know what the fuss was about. Am very disappointed. The hostess at the door was not friendly at all. Really cold personality. Once were were seated the waitress was the same. No smile, greeting was flat. Then came the food. Our burgers were really greasy and fatty. The French fries were saturated in oil. Our plates were removed immediately she thought we were done. We felt hurried. Meanwhile, this place was empty. Won’t be coming back for more of this. Please, who voted this establishment the best burger in town? The local dinner has much more to offer.

I popped in here with two of friends looking for a average burger, but boy were we wrong. The atmosphere is a calm family setting. I ordered a BLT and my friends got burgers. I was surprised that a BLT would cost $ 9.95 but it was good because it was on big Texas Toast. It was very good and my friends said the same. Overall the service is great and quick but the price is the only negative. I would recommend this place.

Disappointed. First we ordered soft drinks. My wifes drink had to be replaced as it was not clean. Some unknow substance on the lemon twist. Truffle Mac and cheese appetizer was watery and lacking flavor. More like milk, pasta & bacon bits with some cheese melted on top. Price 8.25. For a small cup. I had the classic burger. Comes with a very small cup of fries lettuce tomato onion and a pickle. Fried Burger tasted a bit gamey Pickle looked very old. I felt kind of grossed out. Price 11.50 Wife got the Tex-Mex burger. Avocado was slightly raw and the bun was stale. Price 15.50 with a very small cup of fries. Total with tax and tip $ 51 and change for a bad meal. I will not return nor do I recommend.

A perfectly nice neighborhood burger bar with some great beer selections. Alas, while the beer is top notch, the food could be a lot better. On the good side, the staff is amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable, especially at the bar. The room is okay if a bit on the sterile side despite efforts to folksy it up. It seems to always be standing by and ready for the The Big Party which never quite arrives. Perhaps someday Burger Barn will decide if it wants to be the comfy hangout for the guys or the neat & tidy family place. Right now it’s lost somewhere in the middle. Beers are on tap from an ever-changing slate from small breweries. The selection is broad and exceptionally good. Their $ 5 Happy Hour pricing is an amazing value on some of the best selections. That alone should have this joint jammed to the rafters. Oh wait, it wants to be a family place. Schizophrenia is so difficult… Then there’s the food. Oh, I wanted it to be really, really good. I’ve needed that perfect neighborhood hangout and this was on my list. It didn’t make the cut, at least not on the selections I picked. Burger. Veggie Burger. Fries. I mean, bar food, right??? Burgers are pricey and far from exceptional. Mine was overcooked, dry and tasteless. Served on an cold potato bun, that was a disappointing mismatch for the burger. Fries, ordered«extra, extra crispy» arrived under-cooked and limp. They may have been«hand-cut» as advertised, but some training in frying fries would have been a huge help. OTOH, the pickle was exceptional… The veggie version was mostly flavorless, unbalanced by far too much blue cheese. Sweet potato fries were okay at best, though yet again the pickle was perfect. Unfortunately, both burgers arrive in far-too-cutesy wire baskets that made it impossible to cut the burgers or slide anything aside. Our waitress brought plates when we asked. I’ll definitely be back, but I’ll stop at the bar next time. Maybe I’ll try something else off the menu, but I’m not terribly optimistic. I’m not big on ordinary…

Stopped in for lunch. I wasn’t really in the mood for ½ # burger, but ordering chicken here would be like going to McD’s and getting a bbq rib. So I opt for the bacon cheeseburger and«hand cut» fries. The burger comes out with a char or caramelization on the outside making it crunchy good. The inside may have been a little overcooked to my specs. but it was not dry by any means. The bacon was crispy and fresh, not reheated from last night’s dinner. The cheese was american, no great shakes. The burger is bigger than the bun, making it a little messy to eat, especially since I doused it with their chipotle mayo that you get to put on from a squeeze bottle. They also offer some sweet, honey based thing which I didn’t try. The fries may or may not be «hand cut» but they are crispy and delicious. The only reason I think they might be hand cut is that some of them look like they have pieces of potato skin on them and they are all different sizes. Anyway, they are some of the best fries I’ve had lately. Bottom line, you can do a lot worse for a burger and fries. And if you find someplace better, let me know!
