Stayed here last year and had a FABULOUS time! This was my first ever B&B experience and I couldn’t have ask for more.
The owners keep everything very clean and are beyond friendly and helpful! Rob also makes a mean breakfast! (Especially his biscuits and gravy, I usually eat very healthy but couldn’t pass them up!)
They have a pool, hot tub, a grill, and golf carts available for rent.
I left my swim trunks there and they even shipped them to me!
Do yourself a favor and have a wonderful stay at the black squirrel :)

A couple of years ago our friends started an annual tradition of coming to PIB for Christmas in July. My husband and I joined the group last year and just returned from our second trip. We stay at The Black Squirrel B&B and fill up the place with six other couples for four nights. We love staying here with the pool and hot tub (the only B&B with both on the island I hear). This year we didn’t even go into town — we love it that much. The owners, Rob and Maria, make you feel right at home. Rob’s breakfasts are fantastic. And this year was even better because every room now has a private full bath. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else!

LONG IS CITY, NY
This B&B was the perfect get away! Just far enough outside of downtown so that it isn’t rowdy. Doubly so if you visit when it is off-​season! The owners are super nice people, and they were very accommodating to what little we needed of them. I’d love to visit again for another extended stay.

Rocky River, OH
If you don’t feel like staying in the middle of Put-​in-​Bay with the bachelorette parties and rowdy drunks, the Black Squirrel is the place for you. Located near the airport toward the southern part of South Bass, this cozy inn feels miles away from the rest of the island, yet is still an easy bike or golf cart ride to town. Rob and Maria run an impeccably clean and comfortable establishment, and Rob’s breakfasts are just amazing. Amenities include a pool and hot tub. Next door is the Skyway Restaurant if you don’t feel like going very far for dinner.
