It was ok. I wasn’t impressed because I do a lot of my own smoking of meats and I seen them BBQ the chicken, to me, it had very little smoke flavor. And the sauce they dip it in, didn’t help it. But it was a decent deal for the amount of food they gave you. ½ a chicken, roll, potato salad and a full cob of corn. Didn’t leave hungry but a bit disappointed.

Great place to eat fresh grilled chicken, price is decent and a big portion, you can sit on the patio and enjoy your food.

Decent deal for a half chicken for about 8 bucks. Super fast friendly service was also a plus. We will definitely eat there again.

Not impressed. Corn was terrible, chicken lacked bbq sauce. Overpriced!

The chicken was awful here — it was burned and tasted like charcoal. Perhaps it was on the grill for just a bit too long and might be wonderful otherwise, but the chicken I was served was terrible. If you choose to eat here, look over the plates of chicken on the counter before you choose yours. The potato salad was nothing special, but the corn on the cob was good. With so many places to choose from on the island, pick somewhere else.

First stop after getting off the Miller Ferry? Chicken Patio. This is one of the best meals you can get on the island. Half of a chicken, corn, roll, potato salad. They’ll even substitute a side for you for no extra charge. Open late for the rowdy crowd, but it’s great at any time of the day.

This looks better than it is. The key to any good half chicken is brining it. They do not do that. They put a wine sauce on while its grilling so its okay but not enough to go back.

Excellent barbecue chicken with a splash of wine. Comes with extra sauce. The fixings are potato salad, corn on the cob and a dinner roll. Located facing the park so you will get a lovely view! People watching is a major sport on PIB!

After 60 years, this joint has a line out to the street by keeping it simple; $ 11.50 gets you half a wine basted chicken, roll, crisp corn on the cob and fresh potato salad. Not to mention, it’s right outside of the Round House Bar, and now has a small patio bar so you can get a drink quickly, even serving 3 Great Lakes Brewing Co. brews on tap. This place serves over 700 dinners on a busy day on the island and is open LATE on the weekends serving up their signature chicken. My cousins and I were gnawing on this grub at midnight and it was still perfect! Make sure you have extra napkins!

One thing on the menu and the only thing you need. Delicious BBQ chicken, sweet corn on the cob and a great price. The smell calls your name from the street. Don’t pass this up.

They have one meal and it’s half a chicken, an ear of corn, potato salad and a dinner roll for $ 14. The chicken was a little dry but the sauce is great. The corn was cooked perfectly. Get ready to get your fingers sticky it’s very good.

An outdoor grilling venue that features a small chicken half(about the size of a large cornish game hen). Grilling topped off with a teriyaki-type sauce; white meat was a little dry. Also included a typical white dinner roll, a grilled cob of corn, and approx 1⁄3 cup of a potato salad with a pickle kind of tang to it.

Best chicken you will ever taste, grilled to perfection and hot off of the grill. The chicken(original or barbecued) comes with corn on the cob, a dinner roll, and potato salad. All for about $ 14. Remember to lick your fingers! Forget wet naps! Wash it down with a cold beer from The Round House!

Very simple and good. All they have is ½ BBQ chicken and they mastered it.

How awesome is this place? Well just imangine this. You’ve been drinking upwards of 17 hours. It’s late, your starving, and pizza just isn’t gonna hit the spot. Where are you gonna go? The Chicken Patio that’s where. $ 10.75 will get you half a chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad and a roll. And the surprising thing, it was pretty damn good. Espically at midnight when your looking to refuel and get ready for some late night partying. Staff is friendly and they do have orders to go incase you want to bring it back to your house.

Its 1am. You’ve been drinking in the sun since noon and someone just asked you your name and it took you a full 10 seconds to think of it. There’s only one thing in the world that would be better than going back to your hotel and sleeping the sleep of ages. That thing is Chicken Patio. I’ve been going to the PIB for over ten years, and in that time I’ve accumulated many traditions, but when push comes to shove, there’s really only one thing on the to do list — and that’s a late night assault on CP. This usually involves me and my friends grabbing some of the last few dinners available(come too late, you’ll get shut out — a fate worse than getting the flashlight at the Roundhouse) and carrying them back to where we stay. At least one person will inadvertantly drop their dinner, leaving them to suck other people’s chicken bones for a morsel of the tasty goodness once we’re done eating. Oh yeah, speaking of chicken bones, they, along with spent corn cobs, make for great late night projectiles(what can I say, PIB turns me into a ten year old). So yeah, I can’t vouch for this place in the sober light of day, but there’s nothing finer when your seeing double and need some late night nourishment.

This place does one thing and they do it very well — BBQ chicken. This place is the ultimate in no frills. They have a monstrous open grill that I would have to say is about 12 feet long and the guys grilling do a great job. The sauce is very good but since we went there right around closing some of us in our group said that their chicken was a little dry. Mine was not dry at all fortunately and the potato salad was excellent too as I have never found one that had quite the taste of the stuff I had here. I also thought the peanut wagon was a nice little novelty. On their massive outdoor patio they have a little peanut wagon looking thing where you can get a cold beer or lemonade and some fresh roasted peanuts.

The Chicken Patio has a simple menu. With dinner, you get barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad and a roll. After a long sail in from Amherstburg a few years back, my dad and I made a beeline for this place, and were rewarded with some of the most mouthwatering chicken I’ve ever had, along with an ice-cold draft beer for him and a lemonade for me(I was 20, boo). The food is great and it’s a nice place to grab a quick meal. Make sure to tip the grillers — it’s hot as anything back there and they do a good job.
