I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It tasted better than I expected. Appetizers and drinks were of the best quality. Lemonade tasted like fresh squeezed lemons. Very impressed with Crocketts.

Service was good, cool atmosphere, but otherwise, I was not impressed. The food was ok, but way overpriced for barfood, maybe because it was featured on tv? Don’t know. What I do know is that I paid $ 11 for a subpar Bloody Mary which really tipped the scale for me.

So had to hit this spot up, because it’s on the DD&D list of awesome places… and I have to say this is a gem tucked into a small town! Started with the tomatoe soup, and it was perfect. rather different because it’s not completely cream based. The fresh taste of tomatoe, and has a thickness that I can’t place but certainly perfect. Not lumpy in the least, and the crutons were just right. For my main course I ordered the cinnamon waffel and chicken. This dish allows both elements to stand alone in greatness. The waffel wasn’t too sweet as traditional waffels are, syrup was great, and went well with the hot sauce served for the chicken. The chicken was amazing, it came out piping hot, and the breading was on point! Flavor, spice, and crunch all were amazing. There wasn’t a lot of salt(I personally like that) and it wasn’t greasy! For my drink, I had the lavender lemonade, and have to say that it really rounded out the meal… strawberry, lavender, and lemon. winning combo in my book!!!

I come to Crockett’s every time I’m in town. This is a go-to place for a great meal and a fun, laid back environment. Not to mention, fantastic cocktails. The best place to sit, in my opinion, is at the bar. Usually the people behind the bar are hilarious and will chat you up, OR they are fascinating to watch as they make cocktail after cocktail with precision and efficiency. The Farmstand Bloody Mary is perfection and has lots of snacks. The mix is not too thick and has little pieces of garlic in it. I love it so much, and I’m picky about my Bloody Marys. Had the Dungeness Crab Hash for breakfast yesterday. So so good. I’ve also had the Green Chili Burger. I don’t eat burgers that much, so when I order one I want it to be the best and this one did not disappoint. Nice find in Puyallup!

I was brought here by Guy Fieri’s «Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.» As an appetizer, I ordered the fried zucchini(or so I thought). It was actually fried, burnt zucchini. Needless to say I didn’t eat it. As for my entrée, I ordered the crusted fish which came with a side of lemon aoli sauce. It was just okay. I’ll give this place another shot in the future.

Visited this place twice and the food is consistently great. For breakfast the Chicken and Waffles were amazing. Dinner was Mom’s Sloppy Joe and momma should be proud. I know where to go should I ever visit Washington again. Thanks.

after having been to crockets many times we stopped today to try the fish and chips and we were both very disappointed the fish was good but the frys which usually are the best were nothing but crumbs the longest fry was about an inch long and hard as a rock, the service left a lot to be desired the lunch growd was over and everyone was cleaning ant taking care of the customers was the last thing on their mind plus you would think that at 16 dollars for two pieces of fish they could throw in a little container of coleslaw we were curtly told that we could have ordered it on the side. I will go back but not for fish and chips. .

Service– good Ambience-great Food– eh ok We went here because it was on triple D. Ordered chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and a blueberry pancake. Told the chicken and waffles had a chicken breast on it and it was a puny little thing. Manager came to try to show me what the breast was and I knew what it was. It just the size of a quarter dollar. She didn’t sound at all concerned just said ok. You need better management and service than that! Be genuine. It did come with a wing, drumstick too but had no taste. Was too greasy and the waffle sucked. I highly recommend hash house a go go in San Diego or Vegas for chicken and waffles! They overcooked the steak, but gave us a new one. So a star for that and a star for the country potatoes, very crunchy and a star for ambience, our server and for a $ 10 comp. Blueberry pancake was dry. Maybe I’d like lunch or dinner, but not likely that I will come back.

Coming from New York, I think I’ve had some pretty good access to soul food. It may not be the quality you might find in the south, but certainly Brooklyn and Harlem has their own little gems. I ordered the chicken and waffles and with that you get a half chicken and of course a waffle. First observation: the half chicken was a pretty small chicken. The second observation was the chicken was on the borderline of being dry and was in desperate need of seasoning.

This place is a bit loud for my taste, and parking can be a pain in the neck. But Crockett’s is a pub, after all. The rock music inside, the narrow alleys outside, the cheering for the latest touchdown, and the train running behind the restaurant add to the pub ambience. No complaints about the food. Family favorites include: crispy zucchini with lemon aioli, crackling chicken wings, grilled sourdough bread with herb butter, Northwest seafood chowder, seared salmon with kale and smashed potatoes, and fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken makes excellent leftovers – great for a picnic or a long flight. I also like the street tacos. But beware of the pickled jalapeños! Note that those potatoes are«smashed,» not mashed. They cook whole red or gold potatoes, crush them slightly, and brown them in butter or something. Yum. We don’t normally get dessert here. We’re usually too full, and the dessert choices tend to be on the heavy side. The only other problem involves the layout of the building. The dining area is narrow and deep, making service a bit awkward. Sometimes the wait staff seems to disappear. But everyone is friendly and accommodating.

Visited tonight with a large group — which can sometimes spell disaster right out of the gate; however, not tonight! We had a very pleasant, if a bit timid, server and everyone received their drinks and food in a very timely manner. I ordered the salmon, which is served with sauteed kale and smashed potatoes. It was delicious! My husband had the ribs and said they were ‘okay’. I would definitely go back again when I could enjoy a few of their yummy sounding cocktails! Great find in Puyallup!

In all honesty I visited Crockett’s after seeing it on tv… I immediately asked my cousin if she’s ever eaten there and she said yes, that she loves it, and would take me the next time I visited WA. I got the chicken & waffles. I’m not very hard to please in that area since I like chicken and /love/waffles. Regardless, the chicken was so flavorful and good, it could have been a dish on its own(same for the waffle). It was also a large serving so I had some chicken leftover for later, too! We also ordered clams and homemade potato crisps as appetizers, both of which are also highly recommendable. My cousin raved about the crisps and I can see why. My cousin has some type of pasta and her boyfriend had a burger(I was too focused on my own food). Crockett’s is officially on my To-Eat list during my summer visits.

We were doing some Unilocal adventure-ing and came across this pub with good reviews. The staff was very friendly and got us served right away and provided some recommendations. The atmosphere capitalized on the classic Puyallup theme in a saloon/brew-pub fashion…(A Turn of the century building, but professionally modernized). We ordered the street tacos and a chili pepper burger. To our surprise the food came out in 5 min cooked to perfection. The street tacos were the best I have ever had and were well proportioned. The burger was also excellent and wins high marks from this(self proclaimed) burger expert for unique flavored, well presented, and hearty proportions. Crockett’s is now a five star spot on my list… worthy of a visit if your in the neighborhood and wanting a professional brew-pub establishment.

Adventures in Washington Do you know what I love about traveling? Finding local eats specifically for that State only. Back in August, I visited Seattle-Sumner area. Since Sumner is right next to Puyallup, I searched for local eats and Crockett’s came up as one of the recommended restaurants to try. I looked at the pictures and made up my mind on what I wanted… their meatballs. We drove around and great thing for Google Maps, it brought us there quickly. The parking lot is to the side and the outside will have you double check if it’s the right place but as soon as you step in-there is such a friendly, laid-back atmosphere welcoming you. We were seated quickly despite the restaurant being filled. I ordered their Public House Meatballs that’s a little spicy AND delicious-served w/sourdough garlic cheese toast. There were three huge meatballs, which I took the remaining two back to my niece’s house. Seriously, if you’re visiting the Puyallup area and looking for local American eats-check out Crockett’s Public House. The atmosphere is friendly, service is great, prices are right and the food is so delicious that you’ll be walking out of there content with the thought that you’ll be returning there again… and again.

This review is based on only one visit. We came here after seeing an old Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The menu is wide ranging and made it very difficult to choose! Great calamari appetizer. Dad had the meatballs(as seen on the show) and loved them. The wife had the bacon bacon burger and said it was good but a little under cooked. I ordered the sausage and potatoes thinking it was going to be a variation of bangers and mash. It wasn’t. The sausage was delicious, the pickled cabbage was so good and the juice settled in the bottom and flavored everything. And the potatoes were nice and crispy and well seasoned. Absolutely delicious! The place is slightly cramped and a little noisy, so not a nice quiet date night place, but a great hangout type place. The kitchen is in the open and they crank out delicious food! I will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Surprised there wasn’t a wait! Seeing as the Washington State Fair was going on(just around the corner)…and the Seahawks were playin’ the Packers. We were seated promptly. I personally found the food on the expensive side. My kids loved the fact that they serve waffles on the kid menu ALLDAY! I got a super duper grilled cheese sandwich, with chicken tortilla soup, and french fries. My husband got the sloppy joe with fries. And we ordered the artichoke appetizer. I didn’t care for the appetizer — but our entrees were spot on, and we loved them! This place has a full bar, beers on tap, televisions, and might I suggest getting their chipotle dipping sauce for your french fries. ‘Cause it’s lovely with a spicy kick! I almost gave this place 3 stars because we had two different waitresses, and neither one of them were very attentive. There were a couple of times that we had to look around to find them. I also decided to get up and get my own Tabasco, because I got sick of waiting. But…the food? Spot on. :)

Bourbon butterscotch pudding. I could eat that every night. If they were closer to me, I would make way too many stops to grab it take out. If that’s possible. It’s the most incredible pudding. Just… wow. Speechless. I’m actually shocked Guy wasn’t here just for that! So I saw on the menu he tried the artichoke, which I really wanted to try, but I wasn’t in the mood. Same as for the meatballs, they look excellent, but it wasn’t on my radar for the night. What was, was the turkey flatbread club sandwich, and husband got the fried chicken burger. I know… how can a flatbread sandwich even compare to meatballs or artichoke??? Oh but it did. What I love about that sandwich is that it was on flatbread…(duh)…no ol regular bread. That gave it a different better than other sandwiches stigma immediately. My husbands fried chicken sandwich OMG yes. Juicy chicken, but not too juicy, fried but not greasy, and those buns they put their burgers on are seriously for real. The bun made it. The place is waaaaay cool. Old brick building downtown, with that modern twist on the old feel. Love that. The only thing was it was a HOT day, really hot… like sprint-as-fast-as-you-can-into-an-air-conditioned-building-before-you-look-like-you-ran-thru-a-sprinkler-humid-hot. But when you walk in you realize there is no a/c. And on top of that no windows or doors open. Ugh… Mix that with a full house of people enjoying that fab food… Not so good… I asked if they could open doors, but server said flies will get in. And the cost of an a/c was out of the question for the owners because it was so expensive for that old building. Ok, So I suggested screen doors for these hot days, she said that was a good idea, but sounded not too excited about it. Only like 300 bucks… and it would make all the difference for the customers. Hopefully they will do that. :/ It was a great experience except being hot. That alone won’t bring us back until it’s under 70 degrees outside again. Oh and maybe to pick up the butterscotch pudding togo! :)

While in town for the night, the BF and I wanted to check out a local pub style all american restaurant. And boy, are we glad to have come across Crockett’s! This location has so much history… apparently the building itself has been there for… ever? Once inside, bar area is to your left and more of the dining seating area is to the right. Walls and ceilings feature old photos and relics and give you a good sense of just how historic that location and building is. We tried their signature fire grilled artichokes with the Calabrian aioli — that was a surprisingly fun and delicious appetizer! Guy Fieri was spot on when recommending that. We also had perhaps the best burger we’ve tasted in Washington state yet — so soft, buttery, melt in your mouth… I’d go back to Puyallup just for that burger again! Fast friendly attentive service, clean bathrooms, a place with lots of character and history. We’ll be back to try more from their menu again real soon!

I recently just tried this place and adored it. Eating in Puyallup is a nightmare… it is 99% chain restaurants. Yeah, sorry, don’t want to eat at Applebee’s or Red Robin after a long day. Anyway, I went here and I had the seafood chowder and a brisket taco with sweet potato fries. Both were soooo good. My server was nice, my food came out in only about 10 – 15 minutes, and they have a good drink selection. The menu is also awesome. I’m surprised a place with food options like this is sitting in Puyallup. Usually for unique dishes I have to drive to Tacoma or Seattle. A+
