The service was very good. The food was excellent. We had The Feast for 2 and it was plenty of food. Too much actually, but it sure was good. The ribs were by far my favorite with the pulled pork a close second. The corn bread muffins are wonderful.

My wife called and ordered take out on 5÷14÷16. Lady on the phone said it would be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. I show up 25 minutes after the order was placed and they said there was no record of my order. Rachel(to go cashier) said we must have called the wrong location. She was rude(because it was the end of her shift I’m guessing). She was trying to find someone else to help me so she could leave. The to-go supervisor came up with our order written on a piece of scrap paper and said that she hadn’t put the order in yet… Seriously? I was told the order would take an additional 10 minutes, okay, maybe offer me a drink while I wait? After another 20 minutes, I went to the bar and asked for a refund. The manager happened to walk out a couple minutes later and apologized for the delay and gave me our meal and a refund. I appreciate the gesture but your program is broken. You need to establish the right people to take orders and give time frames that can be met. We won’t be back.

My wife was in the city of Sumner and asked me to order out at Puyallup store… and she would pick up. I called and the auto reply said to his zero for Take Out, so I did that several times but it never rang or connected, I then dialed again and his the Catering prompt #-1 and finally a lady answered and said«please wait»…after 10 minutes I used my house phone but no one would pick up.(by the way I hate Unilocal) MYWIFEFINALLYSHOWEDUP after I had waited frustrated on hold for 18 minutes. —– how many bad reviews do you want on Unilocal and other sites. I called my wife while she was here and heard the gal tell my wife«oh, there is nobody on hold.» with a snippy attitude. This is not the first time we have had a bad attitude when trying to order out.

I haven’t been there in a long time but my dad wanted to go go his birthday. It wasn’t really busy but our service was great, food was spectacular. Probably ate more than I should have. We will be going back in the near future.

We went there more than 6 months ago. For fun filmed the 4 — 5 hostesses playing grab ass at the counter after waiting forever for food and drinks. Vowed never to go back. Apparently 6 months was enough time for us to forget why we weren’t going back. NOTHING changed. I ordered what will always be the worse Lemon Drop I’ve ever experienced. So I changed my drink to something that can’t be messed up a double of a type of liquor. Imagine my surprise when what I was served from the bottle was NOT that liquor. Now to err on the side of caution perhaps the taste of whatever they washed dishes with destroyed this drink(I’m being kind) so I switched to a rum and coke. Food was decent muffins raw in the middle. The 20% tip Daves add is BS. I don’t appreciate being charged for one of the worse dinning experiences ever. NOT to be unfair the manager tried to do her best to make up for the experience. The service after the liquor mix-up was excellent. She even made a point of «not charging» me for a drink that was obviously not as bottled.

Our server was Anna, she was horrible!!! First we waited for over 15 min for a refill on our waters and our KIDS drinks! I finally got up grabbed our cups and went to the bar area to ask the bartender to please refill the cups, and there our server was having a personal conversation with the bartender-no wonder why we had not seen her in a while! We finally got our food 45 min later-which to me was annoying but I’m usually ok if food takes a while as long as it is hot. Half the food was fresh and hot the other part of it was cold and taste like crap! Everyone that we were with was super hungry so we didn’t complain or get it sent back as we at this point were ready to eat and go home! At the end we got our checks and paid and noticed signs everywhere that said if a manager does not come over to check on your service/food ask your server for the manager and you get $ 10 off your next trip. So we did, took the manager 10 minutes to come over only to hand us the $ 10 coupon and leave!!! She did not even ask us how anything was or apologize, needless to say this was the worst service we have ever received at famous daves!

Can’t review the food, went in with my husband and toddler and waited 20 minutes before we ended up leaving. No one asked if we wanted water, came by to get order, we sat there and didn’t get acknowledged in any way. We were looking forward to some ribs and were letdown. So dissatisfied with the customer service, hopefully if you go, you’ll eat.

I didn’t leave any tips on our waitress but she charged!!! We were here a few days ago. The service wasn’t good. Our waitress was Anna. She were rude. She didn’t check us, we ordered another drink and she brought drink(she didn’t say anything just drop the drink on the table). I said thank you but she just gone away. She seems like mad on something. We felt very uncomfortable. So we didn’t leave any tips on her. But today i checked my bank account. She charged few dollars for the tips!!! I didn’t leave any tips! Total was $ 50.09 But charged $ 57.00 It’s not fair!!!

Horrible front desk operations. Came in at 6:50 and the front desk gave our table to a group that arrived 10 – 15 mins after us. No acknowledgment or apology for the error. Also they were telling every customer the wait was 50mins to 1 hour which in fact it was only 25−30mins. They turned away 4 – 5 possible groups due to the wait time given. Upon being seated within 15 minutes there were 5 – 6 open tables. I definitely will not be bringing my family back to this establishment.

I’ve had better BBQ, but I must say, the sauces are good. Plenty of napkins, a must for BBQ. OURSERVERWASTHEBESTWEHAVEEVERHADSOFAR. I feel like I’m at Walmart, only, it’s BBQ. MUSTADMIT, I like the country cabella looking décor.

As Famous Dave’s fans(in other states or locations), my family and I were excited to have dinner here, as it isn’t something we do often. This decision turned out to be a terrible one, and we regret it wholeheartedly. We were seated immediately upon arriving, because the restaurant was essentially a ghost town. We thought it odd that they weren’t at least a little bit busy given that it should’ve been the normal dinner rush time frame.(There was someone eating McDonalds sitting in the parking lot, we thought that was odd too, but you won’t after you read the rest of this.) Our waitress appeared fairly quickly after seating to take drink orders and our meal order. We ordered the family feast for two for ourselves, the cheeseburger for our five year old, and the mac and cheese for our 1.5 year old. After ordering, I commented on the volume and type of the music to my fiancé(when we we sitting at our table, the song was«Buried Alive» by Get Scared. Which I would listen to on my own time, but not when in a family restaurant with my two young children). It took at least ten minutes for anyone to change the music, at which point they turned it to just static/white noise. It took another five minutes for them to just turn it off. The meals, once delivered, all felt as if they were leftovers from lunch time and had been reheated. Even the mac and cheese appeared reheated(as if they had been microwaved and brought out to the table). The beef brisket was charred and dry, the chicken was dry, the ribs were so tough, that you had to saw through them to get any meat from the bone. This is the opposite of how BBQ ribs should behave when properly prepared. The corn on the cob was extremely overcooked, but looked dried out too. As if the corn had sat out, gotten dry, then been re-boiled in an attempt to restore their life. It turned the corn soggy, and the core of the ear was darkened instead of white, a definite sign that it’d been overcooked. The pulled pork was decent, but the portion was so small that it definitely felt like a leftover piece from an earlier meal held over to dinner. It was certainly not a portion large enough for two people to share, as the name of the meal would suggest. The only things edible from the meal were the cornbread muffins and french fries. It felt as if whoever the cook was, was someone who used to work for a fast food burger place and assumed that the same cooking techniques would work just as well on BBQ as it used to on frozen burgers and bags of pre-cooked chicken. Sadly, this is horribly mistaken, as good BBQ requires actual attention to the food when cooking. Boiling, microwaving are not the answer. Further, the server we had(as marked on the receipt, because I don’t recall her telling us her name) was Anna. She came to the table a total of 6 times during our meal: 1. Drink order 2. Food order 3. Food delivery 4. Refill(only my drink, not the drinks of my fiancé or the kids, and never asked to refill theirs) 5. Clear table and take my card(but at this point the rest of my family had already gone to wait in the car because of how long it had taken.) 6. Return my card to me No attempts were made to ask how the food was tasting, if we had any issues, if we wanted other refills, only a brief asking if we wanted boxes(while I was seated alone at the table with large amounts of food uneaten, because it was inedible), and seemed really surprised that we didn’t want boxes. As people who typically love the food at Famous Dave’s, we are extremely disappointed. We had been considering this location to cater our wedding next summer, but based on the performance of this meal, we have eliminated them as a possible choice. We won’t be returning to this location ever again. Even if they offer to refund our meal price, or to give us free or discounted food next time, I wouldn’t want to eat it. If I wanted poorly cooked BBQ leftovers, I could easily burn the food and over cook it in my own kitchen. This meal was not worth the $ 59.49 we had to pay.

Customer service is hit and miss. But we had 2 really awesome servers tonight in Mariah and Matt. Well more Mariah than Matt, but because we were in such a large group we had both servers. Mariah was nice enough to introduce herself as she took our drink order and got everyone’s name correct at the end of the night. We could tell she was tired after a long day, but she was still upbeat and friendly. Matt was more of the quiet guy who got us everything we needed. Both was pretty awesome, considering how busy they were with the power outage in the area and them having so many customers. Lori was the manager on duty, and she came by to apologize about the long wait on our food. We notice it, but Mariah was great in keeping us comfortable with the cornbread muffin while we waited. It was nice of her to check in on us even when she had dedicated 2 of her staff to us for the evening. The food is where they lost the stars. My main course of ribs and sausage link was bland. I understand now why they use to have 6 different sauces on the table. It’s now 5 different bbq sauce. The Wilbur beans was just okay. There macaroni and cheese was wonderful. For northwest bbq it’s adequate. If you had bbq in a state where bbq is treated like a religion, stay far away from here.

Famous Dave’s is hand down my favorite place to eat. Every year this is my choice for my birthday dinner. Tonight it was 1⁄3 slab of ribs with corn and wilbur beans. Man, I love those magical beans! My wife raves about the smoked salmon served up on a cedar plank. My advice is to skip the corn when it’s out of season and do the apples instead.

Probably not be coming back, hostess was nice and we were seated quickly & waitresses was really on it and it kept coming back to check on us. But the food was so not good! Has the red potatoes & it tasted like it came from a box, corn on the cob was cold & the chicken was ummmm ok!

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon after the lunch rush. Anna was the waitress and she was terrible. I ordered the barbecue chicken. The chicken wasn’t barbecue. The waitress, Anna came back with chicken with barbecue sauce slapped on it. It was tasteless so I didn’t touch it. Anna never asked how the meal was or why I didn’t bother eating it or why I wasn’t interested in taking it home. The cornbread and fries were yummy so thank God. The Manager, Bruce came over and apologized for the service and took it off the bill. I should mention that my brother loved his food. He’s a regular here(don’t ask me why) and thinks the service wasn’t too terrible. You be the judge.

The BBQ is some of the best around. Great selection, decent prices, and they do not skimp on the portions. Every now and then the service may be a bit slow, but it’s worth the wait.

Came here on a weekday at 4 pm and the waitress came by a total of 3x. Had to wait about 10 mins in the EMPTY restaurant to get menus, and 15 to order. Hoped the food would make it worth the wait, but huge disappointment. I love BBQ, but this food is overpowered with spice to cover up the mediocre taste.

I love the woodsy lodge atmosphere. I’m not a chain guy but I must say Famous Dave’s does a very good job of feeling local and warm. They sport a well trained staff and the food here is always solid. Resist the urge to order BBQ and you will be treated to the best burger you’ve ever he’d, I kid you not.

I’m reminded of why I despise chains once again by deciding on a quick BBQ fix for a weeknight dinner last week. Ordered a pound of brisket to go, advertised as «Texas style.» Very simply put, it tasted like beef jerky. The brisket was dried out and the«bark» ended up tasting literally like bark. I’ve had brisket enough times to have a good frame of reference and this was just a poor showing. My guess is it was the oldest brisket of the day and I was the sorry sap they decided to pawn it off on. Corporate chains, you stink.
