Only giving a one star as a ZERO is not an option. Sauce choice is poor. Super vinegary tasting sauces. Ribs were dry. Brisket was dry and had same flavor as the ribs — obviously left over from last night and stored together. Kraft macaroni and cheese had the consistency of glue. Will not be coming back as nothing chaps my ass than paying for food and receiving garbage!

LOVE this place! The staff is always really friendly. The food is delicious. This is one of the only places I’ve been able to find that serves fried okra! If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it!

Customer service is exceptional. The staff is very accommodating. They seem to really enjoy what they do. I’ve learned to curb my craving for BBQ, because the chains of Dickey’s that have sprouted up in the area does a horrible job of representing barbecue. They are really doing a disservice. The brisket is probably the most expensive meat they sell and they don’t know how bad they destroy their most expensive product and then expect to sell it to consumers. In order to make a profit they sell all the less expensive meats at the same cost of the beef brisket, that is a rip off. $ 16 a pound for some sausage or chicken breast? I say that because I like to order, Texas style, by the pound. I suggest sticking to the smoked turkey and polish sausage when eating here. They have a lot of specials between opening and 5pm that are a real bargain. I don’t know, but I keep seeing these restaurants popping up all over the place. I wonder why Dickey’s corporate office is allowing franchise owners to continue inundating this market with a business model that isn’t ideal for this region? I just find it hard to believe that they are that good and will have staying power in the years to come, but I could be wrong.

Dickey’s used to be a weekend dinner /lunch for my wife and I. We really enjoyed the good food and the friendly staff. Ownership or management must have changed. I used to get a filing hot meal and customer friendly people. Today it was hardly busy, I had to ask not to be served chewed up scrap looking meat /fat. Our sides came cold. Now if it was coleslaw no big deal however it was mashed potatoes and beans. The bbq sauce was empty and customers kept dropping the lid into the remains of old sauce. Which was dried on the lid so must have been an issue for quiet a while. Straw wrappers and trash littered the dining area. For $ 30 I would expect a lot more. Your place has fallen to just another fast food joint like the Burger King next to it. Total disappointment. Won’t be coming back any more.

Finally tried Dickeys BBQ in puyallup. 15 – 30 minute wait for chicken so got something else. Child size portion at adult prices. Cold dry meat. Never going back bad experience.

The very first time I had Dickies BBQ was in Texas. I loved it there but not so much here. Dickies in Texas gives you more meat and for less of a cost. Even though it’s expensive here, the quality of the food is not bad compared to other BBQ restaurants that are around. If you are looking to scratch an itch to enjoy some BBQ food then here would be a good place to go but not all the time due to how expensive it is.

I absolutely love the food here! And the service is incredible! I had an impromptu party this weekend and needed to feed 20 people and they made it happen for me in less than 20 minutes. I always order the same-pulled pork, mac & cheese, fried okra and an extra roll. And I love their sweet tea!

If you like friendly, clean, BBQ this is a place for you! But I am not a huge fan of BBQ. I just felt like it could of been better. We were greeted by the friendliest man! We ordered 2(two) meat plates, came with a roll and two sides. Everything was decent nothing fancy. BBQ sauce was good too. Nice huge yellow cups to take home which is nice. Free soft served ice cream too. Maybe I was just having an off day but even that ice cream tasted«blah» They offer Military discount which is very nice too. I will for sure try this place again just because of the awesome service we reserved! Hopefully I was just having an off day yesterday!

Dried out, unseasoned meat. I had their pulled pork and chipped brisket. The brisket tasted just like the pot roast that I cook in my crockpot. Definitely not what I was hoping for. The roll looks like a dried out brick. Put some yeast in your rolls! I ordered ahead on-line. My food was ready when I walked in. They seemed way understaffed, and the order filler lacked personal skills. I made a return visit to Famous Daves even though the food wasn’t that great, because their customer service skills make up for the mediocre barbecue. This place is not worth a second visit.

If I could leave no stars I would. The worst BBQ I’ve ever had! My husband picked it up on the way home and if we didn’t live over 20 minutes away I would have told him to return it and get his $ 32 back. The brisket was inedible which was extremely disappointing and everything else was bland!

We ordered the western sandwich and two sides. We had a buy one get one free coupon w two drinks. Our total was close to $ 20. Kinda spendy for a pork sandwich and two sides. Its a place your order and they make it and give it to you at the counter. I would expect these kind of prices for a sit down and serve you resturant. Don’t think we will be returning anytime soon. Kinda missing Skippers right now.:(

Don’t get me wrong, this place is pretty tasty. It just seems a little bit overpriced for what you get.

Dickies Bbq Puyallup. Great Marketing. Great concept. Faster than others. Food is ok. Famous Dave’s is a better Choice.

I like the concept, and the idea– the main problem I have with Dickey’s is that they need to have more seasoning on their meats, and the sandwich, I had a chicken sandwich, and there was NOBBQ on it! I was expecting it to be drenched with BBQ sauce! So was most certainly disappointed in that regards, the Potato Salad I had, could of also used more mustard in it, I ended up not finishing it. I did love the cross cut fries they have, those were real good, wife liked her mac and cheese of course, the coleslaw she had I thought was good. ut also thought the chicken was more tender then the beef brisket she had, but that also needed more BBQ sauce on it, I mean come on guys! It’s called DIckey’s BBQ pit right? Where the frack is the BBQ??? Had to use ketchup on my chicken sandwich, so first impression mix feelings about this place and over all, it didnt overwhelm you in the impress cat.

I have eaten here a few times. But it is going down hill. Food was blah serving size was very small for the price. Maybe it’s just this location because the one in auburn is so much better

I should be giving two stars but I am deciding to be nice on account of some of the food being above average, and the neat cup you get to keep; however most of the food is just… okay, not stand out special. The service is what drags dickys down, the whole process is always a pain, and slow, and it is difficult to use coupons in my experience. The place is new so maybe in another year or so I’ll stop in again and give them a chance to redeem themselves, but unless the food gets a huge kick, it’s just gonna be 3 stars from me.

It’s been about 10 months since my last review and the last time I was here. I can no longer recommend this place. This restaurant has gone down hill. I came in on Sunday after placing a to go order. I had ordered the 2 meat place all chopped brisket and then 2 onion tanglers for the sides. First off they didn’t even have the order ready when I came in, Ok I can live with that, I’m patient. Second as I get home and started into the onion tanglers, I come to find out they were barely cooked. At least half of it was a ball of mush. I took a picture and will be posting it on here. Third, It appeared I only received one portion of brisket instead of two. On top of that most of the brisket itself was mushy and didn’t have much texture. They only thing it did have was the smoke flavor so yay for that. The kicker is I might have gotten some poisoning from under cooked food because I’ve had indigestion and have been running to the bathroom all day today. I DONOT recommend this restaurant. You’re not getting the quality you should be getting for the money you’re spending. I’ll spend a couple more bucks and go to Famous Dave’s next time for my brisket. Maybe they’ll even chop it for me.

We didn’t know what to order and the cute girl behind the counter and very nice and offered suggestions. Food was great and I would even come back next time I am up visiting the area. Especially got a kick out of the little man toilet.
