I was online Christmas shopping and found a jacket at this location that my boyfriend wanted. I called before making the trek. I spoke w/Charles in the men’s department. He got the information, asked me for my # and the spelling of my name. He put me on hold and came back to advise me he found the jacket and would hold it till I got there. He was so incredibly helpful. I was impressed with his customer service skills. I would shop here over and over again…

Not happy with this JC Penney. I walked in, looking for women’s clothes, and noticed there were no clothes anywhere except for men. No kids, no misses, no women’s. I looked for an employee and saw two in the entire store. They were both ringing up a guy. I walked out and happened to turn back and saw a sign posted on their entrance from the mall. I have it attached. This JC Penney only sells men’s clothing, home items and has a salon. This is the weirdest thing I’ve heard of for a department store. The store was clean and well organized.

First of all, I shop in the misses section with an occasional pick from juniors… I also like their jewelry. I get asked very very often where I find different pieces of my wardrobe, that answer is jcpenney. I am in grad school and newly divorced. Money is tight, but I still can look fabulous based on the selection at this store. I also order special sizes, I need petite pants ect, the employees are always more than willing to help me order them. I enjoy shopping at jcpenney and I love all the coupons and sales :)

First off I would like to preface this review with I have 6 kids, one husband, one mother and countless birthday parties that I buy clothes for. I like what JCPenny has done with their revamp. I can always find at least one thing«cool» or «stylish» for one of my four girls in a price range that does not make me cringe. On several occasions I have found great shoes and outfits on clearance making it possible to slip an item or two in for myself. And once in a blue moon I will splurge and buy something from Sephora, like the Pink Sugar hair mist. Some of the corporate big wigs come into my restaurant once in a while when they are in town. The first time I waited on them I told them about my family and how much I appreciate what they have done with the company. Every time they are in town and stop in they ask about my family. Just last week I was able to show them our most recent family photos and the outfits that two of the girls were wearing that had come from JCPenny. I think their continued loyalty to my company, no matter how small it is, takes customer service to a whole new level. The only reason that I did not give a five star review is because they never have enough cashiers and I am a little impatient, time is money, and the longer I wait the crazier my crowd gets, which can be detrimental to the store itself lol. Anyway thank you JCPenny big wigs for all that you do.

Nice JCPenny for the really, unfortunately, crappy South Hill Mall. They have massive collections of whatever you need. They got some great Nike stuff for kids, which is what I bought… an entire Nike outfit for a 12 year old boy which was pretty legit if I will say so myself! Lol… Anyway, it’s kinda weird how it’s setup though. Half of the store with boys and guys stuff is on one side of the store, and all the girls, kitchen stuff, bedding, etc, is on the other. That’s the only reason they lose a star is because it’s pretty inconvenient. Other than that, staff is kind and courteous and I have no other complaints! I will continue to shop here on a regular basis. Yes, I recommend it!

This store located in the South Hill Mall has got to be the most awkward area for a large department store. I mean, it’s split in two separate places within the mall! You’ve got one store for Men’s Clothing and Home Goods(Because Men shop for clothes AND fuffy home goods right!!!) and a walk to the other department store has Women’s apparel, Sephora, children’s clothes and all shoes(Yes, Men’s shoes are in a completely different store from the Men’s clothes.). I find it confusing and rather ridiculous. Like ridiculously funny… But nonetheless, after wrapping my head around that my husband and I came here to find two things: a blue blouse and trousers. We walked out with both and a pair of Men’s shoes that were on clearance! I must say, growing up my mom barely took us to JCPenney’s… She was more of a Sears or Mervyn’s shopper(who remembers Mervyn’s with me??). But this place has amazing deals and regular prices on clothing. Even their purses are a steal^_^ I found myself wanting to browse more but I had a specific goal and stuck with it! I was very happy with my experience and purchase. When I checked out the«Specialist»(name tag read this below her name…) she used a nifty iPhone with card reader device. This must have been incorporated during the previous CEO from Apple(that was then fired LOL). Still nifty though!!! Oh yes, and staff were surprisingly friendly… Sometimes a little too friendly like not minding their own business. The store was amazingly clean but they were also amazingly not busy for a Weekend afternoon. All the better, I’d come here often because of the low prices, sales, and less crowded shopping environment!!!
