Horrible horrible horrible. I love china’s food, but this place was horrible. The chicken was way over cooked, the pork was dry, and the place wasn’t clean. There competition out here is to stiff for them to slack that much. Do your self a favor and eat somewhere else

They either need new chef or management. Food was horrible! Meat burnt, VERY few choices of sushi(really?), gyoza was nasty, greasy, etc. Don’t think I’ll be going back. if you want HUGE choices of sushi, AAA Buffet or New Great Wall in Tacoma would be the best choice.(fyu, went there a week ago, forgot to rate)

I love this Buffett. The food is pretty good and the prices are decent. I’ve tried other buffets and have been disappointed… I don’t really dig Chinese buffets because of that but this a good place to go in Puyallup.

If you are vegetarian, you’ll mostly have to stick to the Mongolian grill section. Most of the main buffet items have meat, but at least they do clearly say so such as the fried rice and lo mein. However, the Mongolian grill offers lo mein and rice noodles so you can get a vegetable combination there with them, if you so desire. The sushi section says it has a vegetable one on the hand written sign, but they aren’t well marked so I didn’t try any. They do have vegetable spring rolls, typical Chinese green beans and mushrooms on the main buffet. Not much in the way of salad items, however. They have a good selection of fruit and standard fare desserts you would expect. Some people on Unilocal have complained there is a funny/different smell when you first walk in, which there is, but it’s not BAD. It’s just something you’d expect from a place that does deal in fish and deals in cooking many different types of food. I’m fairly smell sensitive, but I stopped noticing after a couple of minutes. I knocked off one star due to the main buffet being so meat-heavy, but all in all it’s not bad. I don’t live close so I doubt I’ll eat there again simply due to the distance, unless I attend another meetup like I did today. If I lived closer, I might go there on occasion for lunch prices. The dinner price is too high in my opinion, for the lacking of vegetarian options.

Horrible. The food has declined since arriving in Puyallup three years ago. They burned noodles, have pineapple that tastes salty, bread is hard as a rock along with the teriyaki chicken, sushi all tastes the same as each other piece, and the combination dishes tasted bland. Also, when you want a Mongolian style dish, there is no one available until they hunt the guy down from the back. Not to mention the fact that they have only half Asian food out and the other is taken up by ham, garlic bread, pizza, cold fries, and quesadillas?! Seriously. For a family of four, we’re paying $ 44.81, which is insane considering the quality of food is so poor. Going to the restroom; both toilets had piss in them, soggy toilet paper was on the floor and water covered the counter next to the sink. They care more about their fish tank than their food. The poor thing doesn’t even have rocks lining the bottom of it. The wait staff came by only once after our dishes were stacked up about seven plates deep and a few bowls. We didn’t tip and we won’t be back. The employees here give no fucks about their business. I won’t, either.

This was the worst, never go here unless you’re absolutely desperate. The place was clean, décor dated and waitstaff non-existent. The drinks were flat, no ice. The food has been sitting for a while and warm food tossed over and mixed in with the cold food. Mongolian grill was open when we got there but then the grill guy left to the back and never came back. We paid $ 65.00 for a family of 4 and a tip was expected. Eat here at your own risk, I know we will never be back.

READBEFOREYOUEATHERE. If I could give negative stars, I would. We ate there last night and the food was not good. Seafood was over cooked and flavorless. The worst part of the whole night came when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands after I finished eating. The woman that had been putting the food out all night, came out of the toilet stall, after flushing, and she DIDNOTWASHHERHANDS. I went to report this and told 2 employees, who just looked at me and said«I’m sorry». The manager attempted to brush my report off, by saying she would speak to her. I looked at the food area and saw the same woman still putting out food with dirty hands. Just waiting for the ecoli to kick in now.

I went to this buffet for lunch and had their fare. The selections were okay and the quality wasn’t the greatest, but I understood that going in considering its a Chinese buffet. The«sushi» selection were not to be desired and some of the entrees looked like it was there for a little while. The best stuff was probably the fried squid and fried shrimp. It was replenished often because it was popular and went fast. Couldn’t say the same for the rest. With that being said, I would never go back again and here’s why: I was harrassed for a tip by a young waitress there. My experience with her was that she took my drink order and I never saw her again. I left her no tip. That’s right, she got no love from me. As I got up to leave and pay my tab, I noticed the waitress following me up to the register and stranding there next to me and I gave the cashier my card, as the cashier swiped my card and as the cashier handed the card back to me. As I placed my card back in my wallet I heard her voice ask me why I didn’t leave her a tip. I explained to her that she didn’t serve me and that she wasn’t there to refill any water or to clear my table. She then repeated the same question asking why didn’t tip her. I politely said good day and proceeded to exit. She followed me to the door and these are her exact words, «why didn’t you tip me? You eat here, you’re supposed to tip me.» I was in disbelief and continued towards my car without saying a word. With that being said, I never went back and never will.

This place is a foodborne illness waiting to happen. We went to the Sunday buffet and everything was cold. Even when we dug to the bottom of the dishes to get the hottest food it was still cold. The food was not good and wouldn’t have been even at the correct temperature. This place is disgusting and I will not be back.

Buffets are not my favorite. But this one was nice. Hot food, nice variety, small serving area kept that area from being the center of the room, making a nice environment. Young waitress was great. We left very happy!

Okay so just a few things about this restaurant that you need to be aware of — - 1. When you walk in, it has a funny smell in there but it was mixed with the smell of the food so I wasnt too sure if it was me or not… 2. Then they sat us at a table that was super dirty and the waitress thought that it was okay. my sister had to tell her to clean it off… 3. So beware, they charge by height at this restaurant… so even if your child is a child(9 – 11 years old), it doesnt matter because if they are above 4ft, they will be charged the adult rate. 4. ***and the icing on the cake*** — - they charged my one year old $ 2.96(not including tax) to eat there. Although my child ate two fries and two bites of rice and drank water and ice… I have eaten at a lot of buffets and never in my life have I known any restaurant to charge any child under two to eat(as most do not eat much but a couple of bites) NEVERAGAIN will my family eat at this place… this place is beyond unsatisfactory. I am not sure how they are still open. If I was from this area, I would have known better but we are some out of towners.

They try real hard to be consistent despite the rising cost of food. They have survived the rise and fall of 3 Chinese buffets in the area for a reason. Sometimes I get the impression that many Unilocalers expect too much and want to pay too little.

This buffet is solid. I like the variety of things they have to offer. They have more fresh fruits and vegetables to offer than most of the buffets of similar style. They had excellent service and were very clean. Price wise, it wasn’t over the top(10 dollars for lunch) and it was quiet. I would say if you have a go-to buffet, stick to it and don’t go out of your way, but this one definitely tops the list in Puyallup.

With as many buffets as my fiancée and I tried in the search for our favorite, we’ve gotten to a point of knowing what we grade buffets on: 1) Selection — not that good here. There’s just not that many hot or cold selections, but at the same time, what they do have is fairly standard and what you’d expect to see on the buffet. 2) Sushi/seafood/etc — Mongolian is a plus, but the seafood isn’t cooked correctly and the sushi is prepared out of sight, which makes you wonder if its made or thawed from Costco. The rice for it has that sort of funky pre-prepared texture. 3) Quality — Lower in the ranking just because you don’t really care too much when you’re coming in for a buffet. It wasn’t good, wasn’t bad, just wasn’t notable, 4) Who really thinks enough to rank these things? Its small, its cheap, but if you’re not in the area? Don’t go out of your way for it. There’s better out there.

$ 7.99 for lunch buffet seems like a good deal, only if the place was cleaner. I sometimes judge places depending on how clean the bathroom is and this place was just dirty and messy and unfriendly. The food doesn’t look fresh and the name of the dishes look soggy and it ruined my appetite. I went on a weekday so the place was pretty slow. The fried squid was hard as he’ll I couldn’t chew it. The ingredients are probably all cheap and old to begin with.

We came on Wednesday April 222015 and we quickly got out plates and stated eating then my husband tells me be careful because some of the food looks old … I went back and careful inspected and the rice looked dried, my beef and broccoli was super mushy like it was cooked 3 days ago. We told the server and she wanted to discount 3 $ from our bill. My husband said no way. She spoke Chinese with the owner and they took off 10.00 from the bill we still ended up paying 28.50 $. To my surprise and such shameless Chinese people the server came and told us that since it’s a slow day and they don’t have many people the food is not fresh. I told her that’s disgusting your admiring to me you don’t serve freshly made food and I get to pay to eat your old food !!! So disgusted and appalled. If you want to pay to eat old food go ahead and eat at the New Chinese buffet but as for me and my family we will never return !!!

I was craving some Chinese and it’s really hard to find decent Chinese food around here… Teriyaki no problem lol anyways stopped here for a to go plate which I like that they offer this since it is a buffet. You get a box load it up with tons of yummy stuff and they weigh it out by the pound. it was fairly inexpensive which made me really like this place at first not to mention the wide variety of food options. So I get home and start grubbin… Ehhh not the best not the worst. Wasn’t fresh at all salmon was super dry but even tho this place was a dump I ate almost every different type of seafood they had out and I didn’t get sick. Thumbs up for me. The crab wontons were super yummy.

MOLDONTHEFOOD! I would have given this place 2 – 3 stars, but with mold on the food. I just don’t think it’s safe to eat(obviously) or fresh. If prepared food is molding that means it’s been A LONGTIME since they’ve made it. People and waitresses were nice. Normal prices. But for mold on the food I’m sorry, just cannot do it. Also, some of the hot food was«drying out» as if it was there for two days. really freaky. Nothing tasted«off» it was ok. I was just about to bite into a cream puff when my husband pointed out«don’t eat that!» And I said«uh why?» And he points at the mold and that was it. Sad :(
