Very disappointed on the lumpia and other food that I ordered… i basically wasted my $ 20 and it goes to waste… my son got sick on the lumpia after few hours of eating it! I dont think I’ll give it a try again on this restaurant…

Best food I have ever tasted in my life. My favorite is the adobo. The place its quite small, but still the best. I love the rice. It just tastes so good. I think you should try the adobo if you ever visit.

They use all of the cabbage in their pancit, rather than just the green part. This detracted from the quality of the pancit. They were stingy with the pancit portion size. Honestly, it was very bland and disappointing. I could make much better at home. The adobo is very well cooked and tender. Its flavor is nothing special. The rice was good. It was also the majority of my meal. It wasn’t jasmine rice though. Just regular white rice. There was a tiny pebble sized bone in the rice, which wasn’t a big deal.

A beautiful little café that brings a delicious array of dishes from the Philippines. As you walk through the door you are suddenly the newest member of the family for whom a homemade meal awaits. You can pick anything off the menu at random with the knowledge that Momma Elsa is going to whip up your new favorite. Caution: eating here may cause you to forget your real childhood and mother after this wonderful lunch and dinner establishment woo’s you. Soon enough you will be awaking from Inception-like dreams of exotic islands, the melodious sounds of Tagalog, and hunger inspiring scents of Elsa’s Bistek, lumpia, or Chicken Adobo. But don’t worry, once reality sets in you can dine in your dreams at Elsa’s Kitchen(call ahead for Bistek, Fried Chicken, or the special. They are worth the wait but sometimes you gotta boogey).

Made to order tasty food. I am glad I finally made it over to try this spot. It is a small restaurant with just a few seats inside and outside. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food was fresh and yummy.

This place is great! I left the P.I. in 1986. Have not had good shanghai lumpia since leaving there. Yes this place has it. It was great. Nice and spicy with a hint of garlic. The wrapping was crisp and oily but not heavy. We also tried the pork BBQ on the stick and it too was great. Nicely charred and the meat had a nice marinade. It was my Son’s first time at Filipino food and he loved it. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Lastly their prices are very reasonable. So if you are in the Quantico area stop by and check it out.

Food is good… big helpings. Nice to have this option inside Quantico. Small place, but clean. I’ve had the Chicken Afritada, lumpia and Lomi soup. All satisfying. Price is decent for the serving.

AMAZING!!! Great food, great people! Really an awesome place. I highly recommend the fried chicken(and I really don’t like fried chicken usually but theirs is outstanding) and the fried rice(huge portion and really good!). DELICIOUS! It does take a little long to make the food so if you can call ahead of time, that is best.

The food was incredible, fresh, and well priced. The portions are ample. We fed a family of 5 for under $ 50 and took some home with us! I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Tasty adobo chicken and pan it but portion of pork was microscopic. Great homemade lumpia. Clean with good service and reasonable prices. Nothing to write home about however.

What a find! Filipino Kitchen is on the Quantico base, in the civilian section. Don’t let the government signs/security checkpoint deter you; you just need to show your ID and/or get your vehicle checked, and let the cool armed military men know that you’re there to grub: D It’s about 2 miles or so on the main road, and then you make a left onto Potomac, to the civilian part of the base(do not continue to go straight ahead, or that will be considered trespassing!!!). This small restaurant offers homemade Filipino cuisine, such as Lumpia Shanghai, BBQ Pork Sticks, Pancit, Chicken Adobo, Chicken Afritada, etc. We were greeted warmly when we walked in, and placed our orders: We did a ‘Build Your Own Combo’(a great bargain, where you choose an entrée(Chicken Adobo, Chicken Afritada, or Pork Kaldareta), a side(Pancit, Lo Mein, or veggies), and steamed rice, a Lumpia Shanghai, and a canned soda is included(!) — we opted for the Pork Kaldareta(pork rib stew with potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers, all on top of steamed rice; it had a very subtle kick to it, and the pork was very tender; the stew was tomato-based and thick, and it was definitely a great comfort meal!; the Pancit was okay — these were rice noodles with chicken, and it was like the tangier Filipino version of jahpchae(Korean glass noodles); the hubs was a fan of these, and I thought these were forgettable)); we also had an order of the Lumpia Shanghai(these were fried fresh and were okay; came with a generous amount of the sweet and sour sauce); the BBQ Pork Stick(the BBQ pork meat itself was tasty, but they had a tangy sauce on top of it; I would probably just request the grilled meat itself, opting out of the BBQ sauce); and, the Filipino Fried Chicken(Elsa’s(the owner) secret blend of spices; 3 large succulent chicken that was fried perfectly, it didn’t have too much batter, but still quite crispy and delicious; the meat was so juicy! I’m not sure if there was hot sauce available, as that would add a nice kick to it; I’d probably bring my own Texas Pete!). Cian and the lovely staff(Elsa’s mother-in-law was there and was a sweet woman, chatting it up with us) were all sooo sweet and made sure that everything was tasty — we had our orders to-go, but decided to chow down before we left; Cian, noticing that we were going to sample some of our food, brought out extra plates and extra sauce for the lumpias — great service! :D(We actually ended up eating 90% of the food anyways AHAHAHA) I’d love to come back and try out their Chicken Adobo, the Bistik, the Lomi Soup, as well as the Spaghetti Ice Cream(which is currently not available, as they are waiting to find a German ice cream equipment for this); Cian also told us that they were planning on having Halo-halo soon, so I’d love to try that as well! We’ll definitely be back! :D +Pork Kaldareta: D +Filipino Fried Chicken: D(takes about 20 min to fry) +‘Build Your Own Combo’ — great bargain! +can call-ahead of pick-up orders +ask for Cian: D +super friendly & kind staff: D +in the civilian section on Quantico base +security checkpoint at entrance of the base +plenty of parking around the back of the restaurant

I was so excited to see a Filipino place to eat. I came here for takeout with the hopes of a decent meal. I am very picky about my lumpia and pancit. I was NOT disappointed. The portions are huge, the food is perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. It is worth the 20 mile drive and I will most definitely be back.

Very expensive prices for some pretty ordinary food. If you’ve been to the Philippines you know that these dishes are not that great. Will not return.

A small little shack on Quantico base, this place will feed you. The portion size is huge, the place looks clean, and they have friendly staff members. Today the co workers and I got the Filipino fried chicken. It comes with potato salad or French fries. The chicken pieces that they served were on steroid, the drum stick was eye dropping big. Everything was very tasty, the chicken was crispy and the seasoning they used was very good. Fries tasted like fries with old bay seasoning? I paid about $ 12ish for the dish and a can of soda. I also got a chance to taste the lumpia aka spring rolls. Very tastey but I wish I had a pipping hot one. Definitely will be back for their other dishes.

The food and people here are fantastic! I had the Arrozcaldo soup and it was great. My friend had the Adobo Chicken and loved it as well. The portions are big! Being an apatite! Looking forward to coming back soon!
