Best steakhouse in the area, that’s for sure. A little pricey, but food was excellent as was the service. Check it out!

I’m a truck driver so I travel the country trying food from everywhere and anywhere. I have to say that this place surprised me. I didn’t know it was in a casino till i got there so I was skeptical but it far surpassed my expectations. — I got the $ 52 bacon wrapped buffalo medium rare. It was superb!!! Cut like butter, had incredible flavor was just perfect. –The old fashioned I had was perfect. Strong and not too sweet just the way it should be. — the desert was not good. It was the fruit tart. Apples and cherries with vanilla gelato. The gelato was good but the tart was nothing special — the server was super friendly and the atmosphere was dimly lit and pleasant. — I never once had to ask for water to be refilled. There was a guy who’s sole purpose was to make sure everyone had water constantly. It was awesome!!! The place is super expensive but so worth it.

We obtained a comp for a free dinner at this steakhouse along with a free suite at the hotel so why not? Well, the ambience of the restaurant was really nice until they sat a table of 11 middle aged women in the center of the restaurant and the decibel level went up to about 100. You swear we were sitting in the middle of Applebee’s. We were expecting a nice quiet steakhouse dinner and we were at Chili’s. Not happy about that. Speaking with our waitress she informed us the Manager was unwilling to tell them to tone it down since she was«afraid of them». Her exact words. The food tasted good. My husband had the french onion soup and I had the caesar salad. Both were tasty. He then had the rib eye with a baked potato and I had the filet with lobster tail and added scallops, grilled asparagus and the brussel sprouts. All was super tasty. We then took our desserts to go and our leftovers home since the volume of the place was too much for us to bear. Anyway, starting about 3am both my husband and I experienced a really bad upset stomach and diarrhea that lasted the entire following day. When we got home I fed my husband’s remaining rib eye to our poodle who usually LOVES steak. Well, she also had diarrhea that evening and early morning. So needless to say I don’t believe we will be back to the Red Oak Steakhouse anytime soon. The food tasted fine going down, but not so good once it was down the hatch. Although the service was excellent, the fact the management was unwilling to keep the tone of the restaurant quiet, we will not be back. We want a quiet steakhouse experience. If I am going to pay almost $ 200 for a meal, I do not want to be sitting at Chili’s.

That’s right, a 5 star review for a casino steakhouse! This is not your run of the mill casino steakhouse. The tribe raises all their own beef. The beef is all grass fed. They grow their own herbs and other greens as well. I have enjoyed the filet, the sea bass and the wagyu steak. The steaks have been cooked perfect each time. The truffle fries, mac and cheese and grilled asparagus are awesome! Really good wine list and solid beer selection. The service has been excellent each time I’ve been here for dinner. Don’t come for the gambling, come for the food! It is worth the trip!

Excellent steak. I ordered the 12oz filet and it was amazingly good. The Lobster bisque was very tasty too. The brownie with ice cream topped off a wonderful meal. I recommend this place. very good

Very pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered the prime rib and it was excellent. My wife had the filet and she liked it very much as well. A little disappointed with the quality of the service as I would expect much better for the price of the meal, but otherwise for Joplin, MO a very nice meal for a special occasion.

Very expensive for what you get. Not only do you pay for a steak but a house salad is $ 8 and if you want sides $ 7 for each side dish. We went once and spent $ 100 and will not be going back.

The food here was so much better than your might expect considering the casino that it’s in. Every part of the meal treated great and I have no complaints.

We had a great first time experience. Entering the restaurant we found the host stand to be set back across the room having expected to be greeted upon initial entry. We were seated timely. Wait staff was(Sabrina) very pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. We ordered filets medium and medium-rare — they were cooked perfectly. Prices were reasonable for an upscale experience. As a couple or with friends Red Oak Steakhouse is a place to visit when in the Joplin(MO) area. CHEERS!

Everything is great here but it is high dollar. Crab legs are huge and already cracked open for you. Shrimp cocktail was outstanding. Ny strip, sea bass, chopper were all wonderful. One of best dinners ever but get out your wallet or gamble your self silly to get it comped or it will cost you big bucks! All sides are extra but fantastic. Excellent ! Great times with great friends.

I was taken here for my office Christmas dinner not too long ago and I was pretty happy. The place is was pretty empty, but that to. Be expected when its a Wednesday night at a steakhouse in a casino… and that casino is in the middle of nowhere. As I expected with an empty house, but don’t always receive, the service was prompt and our waitress was really friendly. We ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table and they were all good. the crab dip was especially delicious. I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. There were some non meat-eaters at our table(they make me sad) that ordered fish and they were all happy as well. Even I have to admit that the salmon looked pretty good. The deserts were great as well. Anyone who’s a chocolate lover with definitely love their brownie, but it was a bit rich for me. If you happen to be at the casino or just crusin’ past the old Indian reservation, I’d be hard pressed not to recommend taking a meal break at the Red Oak.

Nice décor but frankly find the place overpriced for the location and quality. Steak was ordered medium came out rare. I can see being a tad over or undercooked but rare — nahhh. $ 49 for strip steak — I would expect to pay that in a Vegas casino steak restaurant like Carnevino or so — not some steak joint in an Indian casino in the middle of tornado alley.

In a world of casino smoke, buffets, slot machine noise and rocks bands playing that bar, who knew there could be such a nice restaurant with fabulolus food and ambiance. Being here a few times to gamble, I decided when we booked an overnight stay to make a reservation. So glad I did! Its pricey so expect that but within reason I suppose for a great dinner. I enjoyed a 6 oz filet ordered medium and PERFECTLY cooked to order with a lobster tail. The garlic mashed potatoes were good too(and plenty to share so note to self for next time). Sides are served a la carte. My husband took a risk and ordered the 16oz buffalo T-bone. It was really good too. Woluld suggest ordering medium or medium-rare(as the waitress suggested) because anything more will toughen the meat. He had a baked potato-again something that can be shared… huge! He started with the soup de jour which was a fabulous roasted corn bisque. The room was dimly lit, each table had faux candlelight and a fireplace was burning nearby. The chef was behind glass so the noise and the heat of the grill were kept at bay. The bar was also separate and while you could smoke there, you could not in the restaurant which was much appreciated. Service was fabulous and the waitress knew the menu in and out. I’m looking forward to going back and trying something different like Chillean Sea Bass.
