Astoria Furniture

Had exactly what I needed and was able to order anything, wasn’t pushy or anything like most furniture places. I got a couch, bed, kitchen table and coffee table from them. Absolutely no issues. Delivery was fast and quick assembled everything. Would definitely use them again

Horrible customer service. Took an order for delivery then called (the day they are supposed to deliver) saying they couldn’t deliver and I needed to pick up on a Saturday. They didn’t compensate for the inconvenience only gave a refund for the delivery charge. Not professional– bunch of amateurs. Don’t shop here.

I bought a dresser from this store on a Saturday. My in store experience was fine, though it took a little while before the salesman actually came up to the sales floor from downstairs where he was doing who knows what?
HOWEVER, they are completely hopeless in their delivery practices. It was supposed to arrive Monday between 4 and 5. That was the option I was offered and that is the option I accepted. 5:00 came and went… no delivery. I called the store and spoke to a women who seemed completely clueless. When I told her the delivery was late, she answered «yes», as if I was simply calling to confirm the lateness. Told that the driver had left and had many deliveries to make, I asked how long I could expect to wait. «Um…20 minutes maybe?» was her answer. Clearly, she had no clue. Over the next three hours, I was forced to call back several times because every time she gave me an ETA, it was completely made up. When they finally arrived shortly before 8:00, one of the delivery man was elderly and almost didn’t make it up the one flight of stairs to my apartment. I had to help the other one carry it in and through to the bedroom. After I signed the slip and locked the door after him, I noticed that he had left all the cardboard and plastic wrap on the floor of my bedroom. I also noticed that the van they arrived in was very small, so it doesn’t seem like the reason for their lateness was that they had several other deliveries to make.
I support independent businesses because I believe they often practice better business than their corporate competitors. Honestly though, my experience with Astoria furniture is making me rethink. In any case, whatever your views, take them to another store.

I bought a bookshelf from Astoria Furniture today, and had a very pleasant experience. The salesperson was nice, gave me a discount, and had it delivered by that afternoon. No complaints here!
