In a past life of adult times, I came here to celebrate my former love’s birthday. Many of their entrees as the renowned Pad Thai, Papaya salad, Lemongrass, and beef Pad Gra Prow are visibly prepared Chinese style. Thai Austin Café’s conjures a Chinese Thai version indeed. Overall a decent Thai restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens.

they changed owners and chefs recently b/c it is NOT the same consistency or flavor. they used to have a great lunch special and awesome flavorful dishes. not so! pad thai was a big blob of noodles stuck together. water tasted like pepper — obviously kept in same fridge and lunch specials taste more like a bad chinese takeout imitation of thai food. skip it sadly :(

Just got take out from this restaurant — I’ve walked by a bunch of times and decided to finally stop in. The interior is nice, clean, and modern — albeit a bit cozy. Great from small parties to enjoy a simple, tasty meal together. I ordered the Pad Prig Khing(Sauteed meat with green beans, herbs, and lime leaves) and I’m eating it right now as I type this review. The food is shockingly good for this tiny restaurant and it ranks up there in terms of flavor with the other Thai restaurants in the area(like Sripraphai and Banh Thai). The food has great flavor and I’ll definitely be back there to try out some of the other dishes.
