Great that they have a gluten free menu. Unremarkable otherwise. $ 14 — tip included got me a gluten free meal consisting of a boars head roast beef sandwich. not much meat, — sorta brown, a muffin and some wilted fruit I would never consider serving to a guest. My water glass had food debris floating in it which I unfortunately discovered while drinking it. Needs care and attention to become a worthwhile eatery. Staff could be a bit more cheery too. Location is cute and the inside is ok. After all it’s a papermill town economy, I’m not expecting the Ritz, but really it should be better.

I was introduced to Thyme by my parents for a mid-morning brunch. The place was empty when we arrived and really shouldn’t have been. The food was fantastic, and our server(who may have been one of the owners as well?) was easy to talk to and helpful. We started out with some coffees and waters. Water came in a too-small glass, one of my few complaints. We ordered a cinnamon bun for the table, but I think that got lost in the shuffle. So we just waited for our food to arrive, and I was glad when it did! My brother got the sweet potato pancakes, which are all-you-can-eat for $ 5! You can even switch to a different flavor, like pumpkin spice or blueberry! Did I mention you could get a boat of pure maple syrup to go with them?! I got the Adirondack Benedict, which was an open face biscuit topped with over easy eggs, crisp thick cut bacon and sausage gravy. It was a feast, and I ate every last bit(well, I shared some with my family). My mom got a make-your-own omelette, and my dad got a scramble with sausage and veggies. Both of their meals came with thick toast, that came from homemade bread. We saw the bread come out of the kitchen, and could smell the aroma wafting to our table before we even started eating. Moral of the story: get some bread while you’re there! But also some pancakes. Because OMG. And the sausage gravy… OK, I’ll stop here. But you should stop by.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal at Thyme. We started out with some coffee, water, and apple juice. The coffee was hot and delicious, and the apple juice was not only ice cold, but it came in a huge glass too. We shared a cinnamon bun while we waited for our entrees to cook. I am so glad that we did. It was the perfect size for sharing, and it came out nicely warmed with just the right amount of sticky, sweet, icing. The inside was soft and fluffy, just the way I like it.(And now I’m wishing I had ordered an extra one to-go!) Our«Country Thyme Fries» came out next.(I had asked our waitress what these were prior to ordering, and I was told that they were a different take on traditional home-fries.) They were served up in cute, ceramic, «country-style» dishes. I was very happy with the way they were cooked: Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, with, of course, thyme seasoning throughout. We had enough time to grab a single bite of our potatoes before our entrees were served. The first thing I thought when our meals were placed on the table was, «I need to get a picture of this!» We could tell that everything was arranged on the plates with care, and an artful hand. I especially loved the extra touch of the orange-twist garnish. Every bite of my Eggs Benedict was absolutely perfect. I liked that it was made with traditional bacon instead of Canadian bacon. The eggs were poached the way I like, with the yolks still juicy, and the whites nice and firm. The hollandaise sauce was rich and buttery-A perfect compliment to the crisp English muffin. I had a little extra sauce leftover, so I «borrowed» a slice of my boyfriend’s toast, wiped up every last drop, and ate that too. I believe that the bread is made in-house. It was very fresh, and very delicious. For his main meal, Josh had an omelette with sausage, peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. I had a bite of the sausage, which was very juicy and flavorful. He expressed that it was an expertly made omelette, with just enough filling. He also really enjoyed the toast that accompanied it. The service throughout our meal was excellent. Our waitress was sweet, helpful, and quick. We were never without a drink, and she seemed truly happy to be serving us. I am such a stickler for a good server, and I was not let down here. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. There was beautiful art on the walls, and there were some cute, handmade looking cards for sale up front. The one thing that surprised me was that the place wasn’t bustling! We were the only table for a while, although two more groups arrived soon after we were seated. I would like to go back in the future and see the place a little busier. All in all, I had a very pleasant experience. I left happy and full. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family. I look forward to eating here again soon.
