The food is very good. Fresh ingredients, great flavor. Service is slow. I would not go in there if there was a line EVER. You could be there a good 30 mins before getting your sandwich… Which seems like way to much time for a sandwich wait time. Also, honestly, they are not the friendliest restaurant. I’m not saying that anyone there is mean, rather… Just lacking in enthusiasm and personality. But the restaurant is clean which is always a plus for me :)

This place is great. My food was better than expected. The employees were friendly, nice, and entertained my questions about the local town. If you get a chance, stop in, grab a meal, chat with a local and enjoy yourself. This is the best place to stop after a hike up Mt Walker.

New fav place to stop while on the olympic peninsula. Awesome location overlooking beautiful gardens. Great menu or burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and more. All reasonably priced for the great quality. Awesome décor inside with comfortable seating, all while being served food by nice people. 10⁄10 will be coming back!

Employees were super friendly, place was clean, and I had by far the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had! Felt super lucky to encounter this place on the way to visit family!

I almost don’t want to write this review so Gearhead Deli can be our little post-Olympic National Park hike secret. After finishing a jaunt around Dosewallips State Park with our dog, we were hankering for a late lunch before heading back home. The inside is adorable and has a vintage car theme; then they mention that there are no cleats or clip-shoes on the window and I start to wonder if «Gearhead» is bike related or car related? This is not important to what I’m about to tell you. The sandwiches here are delicious. My husband ordered the pulled-pork«Hemi» and it was probably the best barbecue I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. I had the«Ferrari» which included Mortadella, Capicola, Suppressa and Salami with some yummy cheeses, roasted peppers and my FAVORITECONDIMENTINTHEWORLD, pepperoncinis, on a fabulous baguette. So damn delicious. We’re talking about hiking in the same area next weekend so we can try more of their awesome choices. There’s also beer, but I got a judgmental eyebrow and a shake of the head from my husband when I suggested we partake. Sheesh.

A great, and much needed, addition to the Quilcene area. We’ve been there one for lunch(excellent BLT) and one for breakfast with our of town friends. The pulled pork hash is superb and dining on the deck on a nice summer day is wonderful. To the owners — congratulations on a nice, relaxed place to eat. We certainly hope you prosper.

Great pulled pork and BLT. We made this a pit stop on our last street vacation. Very clean, very friendly. Best place to stop while driving the 101. Don’t miss it because there isn’t much else out there to eat and nothing else is as clean or good as this.

The Pulled Pork Sandwich is the best! Every day they serve a different choice of salad with fresh local produce. This a great addition to Quilcene!

Was in there yesterday with my daughter after a doctors appointment. Pleasantly surprised! Super cute car décor and friendly staff. I forgot the name of the sandwich I had but it was delicious! Anywhere that sources things from local farms I try to support, and this place gets a lot from some of the Quilcene farms. Very good.

We reluctantly stopped here on the way back from a short hike thinking we could make it home before lunch. Happy accident! The BBQ pulled pork was AMAZING, and my husband’s sandwich was also really good. The décor is fun and bright, and the kitchen was very clean. Unfortunately, we had our dog with us, so we had to take it to go, but we have every intention of planning another trip down that way just to eat here on our way home. Can’t wait to go back and test out something else on the menu.

This new spot in Quilcene across from the Community Center in an old filling station has a garage theme to its menu. The place is cheery, clean, and everything is made to order. I was very impressed by the selection which included a lovely vegetarian sandwich among the meatier optiions. I sat on the deck overlooking the greenery and away from the noise of the highway. They place was bustling with locals and visitors. The vibe is casual but very fresh. They just recently opened but I tell you I will be back. The sandwich was truly one of the best I have had in years, it was served on a pizza plate with a dill pickle and it was a great taste. It was made with care and love. It looks like they are going to specialize in breakfast and lunch with hours from 8 – 3 each day. There are take out options, plenty of seating and very fresh tasty ingredients used. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and nice décor. They didn’t seem to be pressured even though the place was pretty full on a Friday at lunch time and a table to older ladies who were all having lunch together. I will be back. It’s not that often I inquire about the details leaving to write up a review but this place warranted it. A friend told me to try it and I never thought it would be as delicious as it was or as reasonably priced for what I got. Yum!
