wow. with Quincy Dynasty gone, I had to find another restaurant… glad I found Quincy Jade! Delivery: 40 minutes(usual) food: fantastic, menu: HUGE. What I ordered: Won Ton Soup, Thia rice, General Gao’s chicken… General Gao’s is like any other Chinese restaurant, but spicy qnd delicious… ordered a Won Ton Soup(sm) huge portion and delicious… Thai Rice(enormous portion!) was delicious as well.

There are pros and cons to Quincy Jade. The décor is – to put it charitably — shabby and dreary. The food isn’t going to earn a Zagat rating any time within your lifetime or mine, and it’s a bit greasier than Chinese-restaurant standard, which says something. That’d normally earn a solid two-star, but the place has virtues. One is simply that it’s open for business until 3AM, and in a Greater Boston area where late-night eateries are astonishingly rare, that’s definitely something — it’s certainly the latest meal option in Quincy by hours. It also delivers relatively quickly, and I never had a botched order, something I don’t take for granted with the often-shaky English-language skills of the people answering the phone at Chinese restaurants. They’ll deliver up to 1:30AM, and that’s another unique factor for Quincy.

Service was ok, but I have to give it one star based on the food. Literally the worst tasting Chinese I have ever eaten. Egg roll zero flavor and disgusting inside. And the lo mein… the simplest dish ever was under seasoned and just odd tasting.

The staff was friendly but that’s really all the place had going for it. The food was typical Americanized Chinese and very greasy. I have a very tough stomach and even I felt sick after eating here. The inside of the establishment was dreary. There’s a lot of amazing Asian food in Quincy so if this place wants to remain competitive it’s going to have to step it up a bit.

On a night where drinking the food is never better … While sober and being the only place that’s open late it’s decent.

The food here is really good and the staff is really friendly. One night my friends and I came here after last call at the horrendous Gourmet Oriental in Weymouth, and we just ordered a small chicken fingers– they were really cool about they let us sit there for like 2 hours lol. They legit saved our night. I have also eaten their takeout sober and it was really good.

This review is based on the delivery only. First, I am thankful that this place was open so late in the middle of BFE on a Sunday night. I had just came from a wedding and was staying at the Marriott. After finding nothing was open at all, we contacted the front desk and asked what was open and if they were able to deliver to us. The front desk was able to suggest a place, and once we dialed and someone picked up, we were overjoyed. They took our order of the usual late night drunk desires of crab ragoons, egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, beef chow mein, and chicken wings. The food smelled so good, we got compliments from the staff on our way up. The food was fast, delicious, and they are open late. What more could you want?

This was the go to place when I was younger. Somewhere over the years this place turned around. The only reason to order from them now is that they deliver later than any other place in Quincy. The food isn’t very good but will do in a pinch. If you need to soak up booze then by all means have these guys deliver but if it’s early enough take your business elsewhere. Good points — it’s not ALL bad. The scallion pancakes are pretty good, as are the chicken fingers, vegetable lo-mien, and boneless spare ribs.

The food here is gross, but they deliver until like 1am. Mainly, their gross, delicious, horrible, wonderful chicken wings are a great late night snack to chow down on while taking a break from playing ultimate frisbee in the Marshalls’ parking lot across town in the middle of the night when you are 17. I have eaten so many chicken wings and scallion pancakes from this place throughout my life in the fine town of Quincy. I have laughed like a crazy person after consuming some late night beverages and listening to my brother smoothly order us up a «Pu Pu for Two». I have a decade’s worth of memories of my fast times with the Jade. But yeah, it’s kind of gross.

This used to be a great restaurant but the new management is dragging it downhill in terms of food quality and customer service. The other night I ordered three items and the only food they got right was the white rice. I asked for a refund and was told that wouldn’t be a problem. But lo and behold I was charged anyways! Trying to speak to a manager has lead nowhere.

This is a review for their hot pot. I’m guessing it is new, but their grand opening sign was pretty torn up. I would have never known about this place since it’s down a small street, if I hadn’t walked down there the other day. I got really excited since I LOVE hot pot! We walked in through the take-out restaurant’s door and the waitress directed us to the hot pot side. There were no customers so the lights were off. It is obviously a very relaxed kind of place if it is part of a take-out restaurant but the waitress was dressed very down, almost pajama-like. I just thought that it was unprofessional. My bf and our friend spoke in Chinese to her and that was a plus so that there would be no miscommunication… but you’ll see that there was quite a miscommunication later. She told us that she’d have to call in the manager for hot pot. Umm… what?! It took about 10 minutes or so until he showed up. He brought out new plates for half of us and the other half used the ones that were already there. That was a little weird to us. Then he turned on the karaōke, brought out our soup and left and was never seen again. The waitress came out with their small menu which had the basic hot pot things on there. We ordered and were served. Our waters came in styrofoam cups, which none of us seemed to mind, but I thought that was very cheap. The broth was alright-tasting and their soy sauce was home-made. We expected the meat to be frozen and bad since it was soooo dead, but it wasn’t frozen at all. I thought it was pretty decent since I liked mine cut thinly. The vegetables seemed fresh and were washed pretty good. So why do I give them 1 star? CUSTOMERSERVICE. The waitress the whole time never took any empty dishes away. To make room, we had to stack plates and put them on an empty table. It took her 15 minutes to give us more water. She also didn’t bring out 1 plate of meat we had ordered. When we told her at the end, she was very defensive and didn’t even take into consideration that she might have made a mistake. She went to look at the order she took down and saw that she jotted down 5 orders. Since she never took the plates away, we counted the plates with her and it totaled to 4 plates. Basic math right? But she still didn’t believe us and went back to whomever took care of the meat cutting and asked them instead. All flustered she asked us if we wanted the last one. NOTHANKS. For a place that has a grand-opening, they should have made up for their mistake. I love hot pot and I think I know what good hot pot is and this place barely makes it. Everything was just OK. Nothing was better or the same than any other place I’ve eaten at. And not to mention, their prices are a lot higher than other hot pot joints. This place opens til 3am so I guess that’s what I give them 1 star for. Other than that, I do not recommend and will not be coming back.

Came here last night, upset afta the celts lost =[ but this place quickly turned my frown upside down. The owner is adorable and was accommodating to erryone’s needs. I actually had the hot pot and the soup base tastes like home! After eating, we started our own little party when he put the karaōke on for me and my friends and a nice lady we met there named Sue that we lured over to us to drink wine with us haha. The owner put on the disco lights and we had our own club night til 4am! I will def be coming back to this place! =]

This is one of the worst Chinese places I have eaten at. The fried rice is bland, the meat tastes like rubber, and the teriyaki that comes as a side is charred to its core. I’ve eaten here multiple times because it’s one of the places that opens the latest in Quincy. I’ve stopped going since because my friend got very sick from the food and I finally realized that even in the drunkest state possible, I can whip up spaghetti and Prego that would taste a hundred times better than anything inside Quincy Jade. If you consider how your food standard lowers dramatically after drinking, Quincy Jade is not even up to that rock bottom grade of food. On a side note, their staff is very nice(basically having to deal with drunk people all night and morning). Stay healthy, maintain your dignity, and please, don’t go to Quincy Jade!

Stumbled in after last call @ Sully’s on Good Friday with my buddy Mark. Good food after last call. I got a veggie egg roll and veggie lo mein(I’m not vegetarian but it was Good Friday-no meat!) and they were good. Mark got some beef teriyaki and some other stuff, looked pretty bomb(meat always looks really good on the 5 or 6 days per year I can’t have it!) +1 star for an OK beer selection(past last call, too!)

Been going here for over 10 years. They are the only place I know in Quincy open to get food at 3am. I love this place for take out only. They just opened a hot pot style area ajacent to the take out area that seems a bit odd but I wish them well with that. They really put some create to make that into something. They are the only of two places I will eat Chinese food in Quincy. The other is near Starmarket and they only have limited hours of operation, I love their King-Po Chicken, the Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Sechuzan, Teriyaki beef is good as well as they are always really friendly at the counter and smile a lot. Their soups are also good too. If your craving chinese take out check them out.

I’m not from Quincy, MA but I know a good Chinese restaurant when I see one. Actually I lied, there were like 15 drunk people standing inside this place when I walked by last Sunday at 1am so I said to my buddy Tim, «This we need to check out!» This joint lies within walking distance of a handful of bars from what I saw. Perfectly played Quincy Jade… perfectly played. Anyways to cut to the chase; the food was decent. It definitely hit the spot, buuut I’ve had better. The portions are very generous though. I thought of playing Man Vs. Food, but I failed 3x. It took me three separate sittings to eat this meal. A little pricey, yes. Long wait, yes. The drunkies could have cared less, but I think I feel asleep, or came close to it. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but damn that wait was long. Overall, this was an okay experience. I agree with one of the other raters… the Crab Rangoon was worth it.

Rather basic Chinese food that fills the bill if you’re looking for some cheap comfort food late in the evening, but otherwise probably isn’t worth seeking out especially since Quincy has so many good Chinese dining spots, including Quincy Dynasty, China Pear, and Mandarin Garden.

This is the typical Cantonese style Chinese food that you can get anywhere. The chicken wonton and hot and sour soup used to be pretty good but since new management has taken over it’s not the same. The chicken broth is salty and has an oily look and taste now. The hot and sour soup which was somewhat unique with lots of mushrooms and funghi is thinner and less tasty. If you’re looking for a more gourmet experience try the Quincy Dynasty on Billings Rd. The food there is very good with the Chardonnay Chicken and Mongolian Lamb being particular stand outs.
