Yesterday’s

Owner is sweet, as well as the bartenders who regularly serve there. Very accommodating and fun!
I really like the local vibe there, the customers are usually fun and friendly too.
Excellent music when there are bands. I haven’t been to the karaōke nights but I’ll try to go!

I used to come here regularly because Paul is a great dj and this place will serve you until you die.
That’s one of the problems.
I’ve only met 2 of the owners-​both are so unbelievably rude.
My friends an I would run up $ 75 tabs on a regular basis so you want people like us in your bar. We are not troubled people.
The clientele in this bar is a lot of junkies crack heads and alcoholics. Lot of crazy people. Passing out a lot.
They don’t serve food due to no kitchen FYI.
I’ll share a couple stories of bad experiences.
The taller owner with the tongue ring.
One time I was sitting at the bar while my friend was singing. One of their crazy drunk regulars was bothering me at the bar. along with the owner. So I asked him to leave me alone. Then he flipped me off and called me the c word-​right in front of the owner. He didn’t even get kicked out. he’s a drunk jerk drinking 2.50 draft pbr. All my drinks cost $ 8+…and this guy has gotten into fights with other customers… good job yesterdays.
Next story-​same owner. The tall one. My friend and I are sitting at the bar, the place is empty. 3 girls walk in totally trashed-​actually they were so drunk they even told the owner they got kicked out of the bar down the street… so naturally he serves them. No problem on my part. Until one of the drunk chicks starts hanging on me so I asked her to get off, which turns into a 3 on 1 yelling fight, the owner jumped over the bar and asked them to stop. I mind my business but about 5 mins later one of them starts mouthing words to me again and quite frankly I’m not a wimp an sure as heck not gunna let someone call me names without saying something back. So that turns into another yelling match. So he moves them to the other end of the bar. At that point I just wanna hurt someone, so to avoid jail time I actually left. Good job tall owner, over serving, allowing crap like that to happen and making me feel uncomfortable and have to leave again. Just terrible.
The other one. I cannot think of specific stories but his personality… he shouldn’t be bartending. He’s called me a few names yelled a few times. Very rude. Almost like your bothering him. Actually you ARE bothering him. I don’t think he wants to own the bar anymore.
I’ve seen a few fist fights there, on nights he’s working probably over serving. One in particular I knew that a girl mentioned to him another girl was giving her problems and he said to stay away from her. The other girl sat next to me at the bar and was on quite a rant then ordered 4 ($ 2)shots and a beer… yes I know… took the beer spilled it on the other girl and they got into a fist fight. Yesterday’s, you guys are so stupid. Can’t wait to see the closed business sign on your door.

I used to be a regular customer at Yesterdays. I am sad to say that I am no longer. The reason being that the bartender/​owner was very rude to my party. It was a karaōke night. A Sunday night. And my son and I had just bought drinks. My fiancé hadn’t bought one, yet. The bartender approached us about two minutes after my son and I bought drinks and said that he had a new policy in place: if you want to sing, you have to buy a drink. He then went on a tirade, saying that he «doesn’t run a house party», that he has to pay the DJ for being there, and on and on. I finally bought a drink for my fiancé. But the bartender’s approach to the whole situation bothered me. If he just explained that business was slow lately, I may have felt differently about the situation. If we were customers that regularly dropped in without paying, I’d have understood. But we regularly bought beverages when we came in. I was told by someone there that since others came in without paying, the bartender had to impose this «new rule» on everyone. That doesn’t excuse him for his attitude toward us. To make matters worse, after I asked the DJ, Paul, about other places he plays at and explained the situation, the bartender walked up to Paul when I walked away and loudly started mouthing off about me. After this display, I decided I had enough. So I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone. Begging for business from regular patrons will not make more money for him in the long run. In not giving us time to make a decision on my fiancé’s drink, and thus showing paranoia that we wouldn’t «pay up», he lost three regular customers. Too bad.

Went here for the first time over the weekend to see a friends band play and was totally pleased. Its a small but clean dive bar, parking across the street in the church parking lot, cheap drinks, lots of interesting folks and overall very nice — I will be back to check it out in the future. Also bonus points for the laid back attitude of the staff.
