We always see cars in the parking lot so decided to give Jalapenos a try, The décor is worn and needs updating. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was… bland and not exciting.
I have to believe that a good deal of the food is purchased ready to heat and not made fresh on site. Now was the food bad, no just acceptable. They offer good specials, a clean environment and good pricing. Jalapenos just needs to step it up a notch, find something to be a signature dish and then I’ll bump my rating up to 3 stars.

The guacamole, chips, and salsa were so good we weren’t that hungry for our entrée’s! I had a quesadilla, he had enchiladas’ ! Very good! Our waiter was awesome. The only downside was dirty menu’s. Every one spills salsa, just clean it up!

My husband and I love to try new TexMex. We tried Jalapeños today. The food was good. I was not a fan if the tortilla that my enchilada was wrapped in. It was doughy. I didn’t know corn tortillas could be doughy! I also ordered the tamale which was very good! The place is rough around the edges. I’m not sure I would go there again if in Greenville area.
