Chubbies Pizzeria

Stopped here for an early lunch — I had cheese fries and chili. They weren’t bad but nothing too special either. The waitress was so nice! Great value.

Not bad pizza but their service is horrible. The lady who answered the phone to take our delivery order had an attitude the whole time and said that she had problems hearing me because their phone is super staticky… you should probably invest in a new phone. They called 4 times to ask about my order because they the lady didn’t write things down…

Had dinner here while in town. Owner is friendly and funny. Came to the table to visit and chat. Inside is low key but comfy. Waitress was very polite and prompt. Portions are huge but leftovers are great for a late night snack. We would go again.

Home town little place. Nothing fancy but I would highly recommend it. Very good food & lots of it. The staff was very friendly & accommodating.

Last night, me and my girlfriend went here for our 6-​month and it was pretty good.
I got a cheddar and mushroom Chubbie burger while my girlfriend just got a normal cheeseburger, also in Chubbie size. We also got a side of fries for us to share.
The cheddar and mushroom burger was good, but they use concession stand nacho cheese instead of actual cheddar and the mushrooms were canned mushrooms. Not complaining, because I actually enjoy nacho cheese and canned mushrooms, but others’ opinions might differ.
My girlfriend’s burger looked good. It just look like a larger version of a cheeseburger.
The fries were ok. They could’ve used a bit more salt. But for a place that sells giant burgers, you wouldn’t just go for the fries.
The place itself looks kinda dinky, and it is located directly in the middle of the ghetto, but the food is good and the place offers take out so you can eat their food in the comfort of your own home.
I guess you can say that I’m definitely going back there again. :)

We found this place looking online while traveling through Wisconsin. The food was really good and the prices were an amazing value. We started with an order of fried cheese curds, yummy. My husband got the Chubby size (1lb) Texas Bacon Burger. It was huge. I ordered the hand tossed pizza which was excellent. The total was $ 25.60. Seriously! I double checked the menu because I thought we were under charged.
It was well worth the detour off I-​94.

I have only had the Chubby burger when I have been there, and it is really good! I hear the pizza is good to, but I love their cheeseburgers to much to order something else. The take out service is great. When we’ve dined in, in the past we haven’t had good experiences. The waitress was very rude. The inside isn’t to clean, and the booths are very uncomfortable. I would suggest this as a great take out place.

Everyone needs to try it at least once. It’s basically a staple of Racine. It needs a lot of help on the inside décor, and the neighborhood is a bit tough, but they really can’t help that. Just give it a try, it’s worth it;)

Sometimes bigger is not better, its just bigger. The place is known for a giant burger I’d reckon bout 12″ in diameter. At what point is a burger not a burger anymore? I’d say when you have to use a knife and fork to eat it and when the one slice each of tomato & onion they put on it only covers 10% of the surface area.

Interesting place. My son and I love it. We go for the Chubbie burgers. These burgers and buns are the size of a paper plate. We always make sure we are really hungry. We’ve even coaxed my dad to come and have had 3 generations chowing. The remember having the pizza once and felt like it was ok, just above a frozen pizza.
You don’t go to this place for ambience and fancy décor, but the food is good.

Chubbies is a unique dining experience. Everybody needs to go there once, but don’t order the catfish unless you like breaded, deep fried, catfish fins.

OH MY if you’re a big man… or just like to eat your heart out, Chubbies is bound to make you HAPPY and most likely like Chubby himself (you’ll see the framed mascot doll on the wall). Their burgers are gigantic and CHEAP. You pay for any add-​ons, unless it’s a specialty burger already coming with items like lettuce, tomato, etc. They also have a yummy iced tea that is pomegranate-​blueberry flavored. Uniquely good. Again, prices could not be any better. If you feel like staying in or catching a TV show, they have a carry out window right at the entrance. I think it blows Kopps of Milwaukee out of the show. P/​S: The back room is the non-​smoking section.

Great burgers! If you’re not starving… I recommend getting the small burger, but if you’re a starving man with a HUGE appetite, bon appetit! Hubby and I were visiting with a friend in Kenosha and he wanted to go for burgers so brought us here. He and my husband both got the gigantic burger with the specially made bun and actually managed to eat them! I was so happy I was advised by our server not to get it because I didn’t even finish the little one I got because it was too big!
I agree with Melissa L., the décor is nothing special but the food and the service are great!
Next time we’re in Racine, we’ll stop in! YUM!
