let me start by saying this was one of my favorite buffet but something happen with in the last 6 months this place needs to be closed!!! I’m sure they haven’t had a visit from the health department in a while. very dirty I’m glad I didn’t see the kitchen. but I did have the food and was sick all night. stay away at all cost!!! every booth in the place has ripped up seats I never seen anything like it. I will never be back! and I almost always give places a 2nd chance but not here.

I have to open by admitting that I love buffets in general. I enjoy being able to sample a small amount of many things and I really enjoy a good Chinese buffet. I have lived in Racine for just a few years but three of the ethnic restaurants that I’ve been to have shut down. One of them was a Chinese buffet that felt unsanitary that I never returned to, another was a nice little buffet, Mi Ho, that I was very sad to see close. I originally found Super China Buffet to be just«good,» not great, but my only other option was to drive to Kenosha for THEIR Super China Buffet. I learned to ignore the too dim lights, the tired old furniture and the utilitarian buffet tables. The food, I felt, has always been very good. Plenty of kick to the spicy items, plenty of flavor to the savory items, lots of fresh salad items and a very tasty lo mein. One day recently I walked in and discovered that they completely redecorated the entire restaurant. Everything was clean, bright and suddenly I felt that I was in a quality Chinese restaurant, here in my town. The food looked better than it ever had, tasted wonderful and the staff was their usual pleasant selves. If you like Chinese buffets I highly recommend the newly remodeled Super China Buffet of Racine.

Of the two Chinese buffets in this town, the other one(New Buffet) is slightly better. This is the situation of lesser of two evils. They are both not all that great. Of course, beggars cannot be choosers. This is located in a shopping center with a Piggly Wiggly. The Piggly Wiggly will be the topic of another discussion. This place has fewer options than the other buffet. The fare here is typical meat and vegetable combinations with fried rice and lo mein. There is nothing here that will scare the picky eater. I said it before and I’ll say it again. This town is devoid of good Asian food.
