Moved to Racine a little while ago and didn’t know where to get my hair trimmed found this on Unilocal since it look like the only Aveda salon nearby thought I would give it a try. I was really pleased with my haircut my hair smelled so good and it is a hidden little lovely place. Love it! will be going back for sure!

The utter lack of reviews for this place is actually what made me interested in starting a Unilocal account. I found the Bluegrass while doing a search for Aveda salons in Racine. Aside from driving to Milwaukee or Kenosha there weren’t any besides The Bluegrass, so I made an appointment. I made an appointment with Casey for my first time, and Casey is a fantastic stylist– I’ve been back twice since my initial haircut. She’s not pushy at all about selling products, but is happy to make suggestions when I’ve asked for help with my hair. In my experience it can be rare to find a stylist who really listens that what you want, but she does a great job. She also gives a great scalp massage during the shampoo process which is great. There’s parking in a city lot behind the salon or street parking in front of the building. The salon is in an old converted house and the décor is fantastic. They offer tea and coffee while you wait, or you can browse the Aveda products for sale. They also offer spa services and nail services though I’ve only ever gotten a haircut and eyebrow wax before. The Bluegrass has a product rewards card where you can collect stamps to earn money off products. I’m a little disappointed I just discovered this place now as I’m moving out of state next month but will definitely refer anyone I know who needs a hairstylist in the area. The prices are also very reasonable given what some Aveda salons in bigger cities will charge.
