Great food, great drinks, fantastic service! Love this place! My only con is it’s so far from where I live. Racine could really use more cafes like this!

The food is AHMAZING!!! Had the mozzarella tomato Panini and the chicken enchilada soup it was delicious. Grabbed the blueberry muffin just because it too looked amazing and it was!!! The service was great! A little slow but anything made with love takes time! Great place to sit and relax on lunch

The Grind gives Mount Pleasant a good name despite its urban sprawl community plan. The panini sandwiches my wife and I had were made by a very friendly gentlemen – with a wild mane of hair all over his face and head – and they were very scrumptious. I think he was a hippie or something. But anyway, the real thing to try here is a thing called«breakfast-in-a-cup.» My mouth sent a message to my brain informing it that the breakfast-in-a-cup is easily one of the best smoothies it’s ever had. My brain trusts my mouth, so I have to agree. It runs around 6 bucks. The Grind is a pleasant and well managed addition to the community. It rocks.

I’ve had the coffee and food once before and it was great. Unfortunately, it takes a very long time to even order. I was just there, with only one person in front of me and two people behind the counter working. After 5 minutes of the cashier and customer chatting and the other employee ignoring me, I walked out. Wish I could have given them 5 stars for the quality, but you can’t earn quality if the employees don’t care if you place the order.

Met with three friends here at 11:00 a.m. None of us had been to this café, but I had seen the good reviews on Unilocal.I had chai tea which was delicious. I also had a cup of the pot pie soup and it was very good. My friends had the breakfast scrambles which everyone seemed to enjoy. One of my friends also got an enormous peanut butter cookie. It was a nice place to sit and visit with friends. I will be back to try more of their food and drinks.

So glad Unilocal recommend us to this great little café! Stopped for a light lunch and coffee. Had some delicious tomato basil soup with toast, plus a great cup of coffee. My friend loved her honey latte, too. But the best part of the experience was the great atmosphere and super friendly service. I was proud of how my friends(from out of state) reacted to the Wisconsin hospitality we received. Loved everything!

I would never have found this place without Unilocal,it’s tucked between an urgent care center and physical therapist. Boy, am I glad I did. They use beans from Anodyne, who I had never heard of before(usually it’s stone creek or Anodyne around MKE). Even though I usually go for dark roasts, I got their light roast and was blown away; it was just fruity enough while still retaining just enough darkness. The cranberry walnut that I also picked up was perfectly sized, and not too sweet. Seriously a hidden treasure, if you are a coffee snob like myself, this is a must visit in Racine

I would recommend to anybody. Plan on bring my mother here. Hope to return soon to try the breakfast smoothie…(with no bananas). Tried the caramel Royale and I love it. It’s quiet(I came in at 8:06 a. m). Looks ravishing and I would come here when I need thinking time to study. I will be returning lol.

Highly recommended for coffee & sandwiches in Racine. They really care about doing things well. They use beans from very good roasters in Milwaukee, Anodyne and Stone Creek. They do excellent panini that are a steal at $ 5(and would cost twice that in San Francisco). They make their own very good gelato in house. They just got back from a tour of Italy structured around a barista competition. That’s how much passion they have for what they do, and you can sense it in everything they make. It’s in a very unassuming location but worth seeking out. Little tip: try the Italian sodas. They’re mixed fresh with sparkling water and your choice of fine Monin syrups. They beat anything in a can. I haven’t Unilocaled in years but wanted to come out of retirement for a minute to put in a good word for The Grind. I was born and raised in Racine and am very happy that this is there.

Great paninis. Homemade bakery/quiche, delicious coffee choices,(Anodyne — BayView, Milwaukee) reasonable prices. It’s nice to support local businesses. Try the breakfast in a cup(meal replacement) smoothie! And ask about the breakfast menu. Also keep in mind that any drink can be made decaf, hot, cold, or blended as a frappé. And they have more flavor options than what’s listed on the board!

Having grown up in Seattle, I love coffee. I was over the moon to discover The Grind Café on a recent visit to Racine. Quite possibly the best coffee I have ever had(I HIGHLY recommend the honey latte). Quality and local ingredients. Friendly, awesome owners. If only I could be so lucky to have a coffee shop like this in the DC area. I will make a point of stopping by(every day) of my next visit.

I came in to try this place out-super excited because ofthe raves I’ve been hearing. Coffee was good, but I am only giving 2 stars because this place is FILTHY. Unclean, messy, open containers everywhere, spills, dirty dishes, you name it. The interior also seems a bit uncreative-a rip off of Wilson’s and Mocha Lisa.

This is hands down the best place to get an espresso drink in Racine. Espresso drinks are one of those things that I get pretty disappointed about when it doesn’t taste just right. I don’t have that problem here! The drinks are consistently delicious. Additionally, their food selection is great when you’re craving a good café soup and sandwich with quality ingredients. Service has always been friendly. If I lived in Racine I would be a regular!

Question: What should you do if your town has both a Starbucks and a super awesome, locally owned, personality oozing, top quality latte making café that displays and sells the wares of local artists all with outlets, free wifi and the kindest owners and workers on the planet? Yeah, you go to the Grind Café. To those who answered correctly you get an A+ on your paper and get to skip the final. To the rest of you… SMH.

This coffee shop is ADORABLE and very cozy with large enough space to accommodate a book club or small group gathering. They feature live music occasionally on weekends. The Grind Café serves a wonderful assortment of well blended coffees hand picked by the owner. Personal service, great prices, and convenient location on Hwy. 20 next to Razor fitness. Excellent foam for latte drinkers! They also serve gelato, soups, sandwiches, and pastries. Owned and operated by a husband and wife team– this is a jewel of Racine not to be missed.
