Pampered Paws

Took my dog to be groomed at Pampered Paws today for the first time and I am so pleased with the results. The groomer was so friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. The prices were reasonable and my dog was groomed in 45 minutes which I thought was amazing ! I’ve been to several groomers in the area and this is by far the best one !

One word for our first experience with grooming at Pampered Paws = IMPRESSED! My standard poodle, Beau, grew up in NYC with me, and I took him to two skilled groomers. After moving out to Rahway, I’ve been concerned about finding another quality groomer, and today’s results exceeded my expectations. What top notch grooming! Beau left Pampered Paws this afternoon happy and looking rather fabulous!

The girl here was very patient with my puppies and it was a very laid back experience. I have 2 fiesty shih-​tzu puppies that like to bark and intimidate others upon sight, but are very sweet once you get to know them. They had fun running around the shop after their puppy cuts and it seemed like they had a nice time. Overall a good job and a cute shop.

I have taken my dog, Ladybug here 2 or 3 years now. Ladybug is a senior, big girl. St Bernard/​Pittie mix.
Karin, the owner and doggy stylist, is the BEST…
She not only makes Ladybug comfy and beautiful (she gets bathed, and shaved down for the summer), but she and her staff are very attentive to Ladybug’s special needs. As she’s 13yrs old and has bad arthritis, Karin and staff make sure even my big girl doesnt hurt when being lifted and bathed, etc. I appreciate them very much! And they make Ladybug look and smell AWESOME!!!

Both my pups are groomed at Pampered Pawz, and even though we’ve moved away from the area, we still bring them! They do a fantastic job!

I had a grooming place in Hoboken for 2.5 years so it was extremely hard for us so make the switch when we moved to Rahway. I came to check the place out and speak to the owner before I brought my pup. She was really friendly and talkative. She let me check the place out. It’s really clean and has a good vibe to it. I brought my pup there the next day. I have a shih tzu, very calm mannered. The cut took an hour and half. Gizmo got washed and then cut. I came in after an hour. She didn’t mind me staying and watching the end of his cut. Which was nice because a lot of people won’t let you stay and watch your dog get cut. Everything total was 53 bucks. Then I gave her a 20 $ tip because she really did such a great job. I think he name was Karin??? Anyway, gizmo and I are going back soon. Thanks again.

Whe I was looking for a groomer for my Welsh Corgi I was concerned that all the groomers I spoke with in the area didn’t allow you to stay with your dog. My dog had never been groomed before and I was concerned that he would be anxious without me there (plus I wanted to make sure the groomer was doing a good job!). I found Pampered Paws on Unilocal and the owner said it was fine if I stayed, They bathed him, groomed him, cleaned his ears and clipped his claws all while I waited. He came out looking like a show dog and the staff there was so excellent with him. More groomers should function like Pampered Paws, what an absolutely fantastic experience! And, their prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

5 Stars all the way. I brought my puppy Shiba Inu here twice so far and the attention and care the Pampered Paws staff provides is excellent. My puppy is not the biggest fan of having her nails clipped or being bathed and can be a bit ‘difficult.’ The staff were beyond patient with her and did a wonderful job calming her down and taking care of her.
I highly recommend Pampered Paws to anyone looking to have their pet groomed!

Love this groomer. Took our Maine Coon there for a major grooming, he is very difficult for us to comb, and he has biten groomers. This place handled him, in a very sweet manner, muzzled him, and made him gorgeous! He left with a lion cut and a ticked off attitude, but he looked better, and we know he felt better. Priced just right, and again, very loving, gentle staff. You can stay there and wait for your pooch/​kitty to be done. Going back in a week or so for holiday touch up… would highly reccomend this place!
