Well, a full week after I contacted them, my dishwasher still is not repaired and more importantly, while ‘waiting for a part’, they failed to reattach piping and 100s of gallons of water leaked into our wood floors and into the sub flooring. i called and left a message alerting them of them problem and no one even bothered to get back to me. I had to call them repeatedly.
When I told them of this massive problem, their response was to say ‘ok we will put this repair on hold’…as if I would let them touch anything else.
I am beginning to get my homeowners insurance involved. This is a multiple thousand dollar issue.

They didn’t even have the decency to return my phone call requesting service! They have lost a potential customer!!! This just screams — UNRELIABLE!!!

When I called, my first question was whether they offer a window of time, or if they had specific appointment times. They said they offered actual appointment times. Yay! My appointment was at 9am. They were here by 9:05am. A man and a woman came together. They both walked into the kitchen, leaned in closer to the refrigerator and both said, «The fan’s dead.» They opened up the freezer and saw that their hunch was right. Since they had asked for the model number on the phone, they had all the parts they’d need. They fixed the refrigerator very quickly. I enjoyed chatting with them. They were out by 9:40am. Fair price. Had the part. On time. Nice people. VERY pleased. I’ll definitely call again if I have another problem with a major appliance.
The address listed here on Unilocal is in Youngsville. I see their address as being on Spring Forest Road in Raleigh. I live in downtown Raleigh. I guess it doesn’t matter if they are coming out to the customer, but I’ll double check and make sure the Unilocal address is correct.

Advanced Appliance and Air is a great local family owned business run with traditional good business values. I’ve called on them on a couple of occasions to help deal with my Kenmore Elite refrigerator and they have always been great. Their staff is VERY professional and friendly. They are my first call if I run into any appliance problems. Being an engineer myself I am VERY picky about technical services. Highly recommended.
