Conveniently located in downtown Raleigh near the Oakwood and Mordecai neighborhoods, Anvil is a hidden local gem. Pun intended. Their hand-​crafted jewelry selection is unique and cool, with pieces for every occasion and situation.
Friendly and helpful service makes the shopping even more enjoyable. Don’t see something you like? Either check it out again in a couple of weeks as the inventory is always changing or work with them to have a custom piece created. Their selection of shiny stones just waiting for something to be designed around them brought out the magpie in me. I was mesmerized. If all that shopping makes you hungry, wander across the street to Piebird or walk down a block to Krispy Kreme to see if the «hot now» light is on.
Also, Anvil is a gallery with artistic metal pieces and sculptures available — I’m sure that they participate in First Friday. Might be someplace you want to loop in as you wander around Raleigh.
