Artistic Gymnastics School

After leaving a poor review here and a less than happy voice message, I finally received a call back from Artistic Gymnastics. The only thing artistic about this place is how rude they are. This lady called me and tried to tell me I was a liar when I told her my wife has left numerous messages over 2 months without being called back. I informed her we haven’t been a single time in December or January and have been charged for both months anyway. When I asked for a refund, she said no. When I told her I would remove my negative review if she did refund me, she became extremely irritated and started belittling me and MY ACTIONS while defending their actions of STEALING MONEY from people not using the gym. They want it in writing that we are not returning, which is understandable, but if they were to ever RETURN PHONE CALLS, then I would have given it in writing over 2 months ago! I am shocked at how ARROGANT this woman on the phone was. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I would never allow my child around people who treat customers as badly as these arrogant, rude people have treated me. Of all my Unilocal reviews, this is the first ONE STAR I have ever given. I would give a ZERO if possible. I cannot believe how I was talked to when I calmly asked for a refund and in return, I would remove or update my review. Unbelievable. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!

My daughters competed in a gymnastics meet at Artistic this weekend, and it was terribly disorganized. While the ages in our level ranged from 7 to 15, they grouped the girls ages 8 – 12 together, the 7 year old competed against herself, and the 15 year old was completely left out during awards. When questioned, we were told they would give her (my 8 year old, I think) a «freaking» medal. They proceeded to take all medals and trophies back from all the girls and re-​distributed awards. The 7 year old was forced to give all of her awards back and ended up with only one medal. My daughters faired better, but no one wanted that at the expense of a 7 year old. Our gym will never compete at Artistic again.

I have been taking my kids here for 6+ months. I have kids ranging from 3 – 11 and they all four are taking classes here. My girls are in the preschool gym class and my boys are in the boys gymnastics classes.
The staff is very friendly with the kids and billing is easy, we get a discount on child 2, 3, and 4.
The kids do stretching before all the classes. They are careful to keep the ratios pretty low so that each child gets the attention they need.
It is nice that they have several classes available so in case we ever need to do a make-​up class it is available to us.

These girls are amazing! Flexible, fit and extremely talented. They’re running laps, doing crunches, climbing ropes and stretching in the most incredible pretzel poses. And that’s along with the normal flips and twirls and jumps of gymnastics!
This place is so fabulous that they have a «Bleu Cheese» pit — not just the regular yellow foam but deep sea blue! The facility has several beams, three uneven bars at different heights, two trampolines, ropes, straight bars, moveable springboards and a nice wide floor.
The instructors are knowledgeable and caring. They offer regular classes and team practices. They also work on floor routines.
Artistic Gymnastics is not the bright, shiny new aluminum type of facility you might find in other areas of Raleigh… a bit more lived in. But the price is right and the girls are taught well. We’ve had an excellent experience there.
