Have to update this one. Hadn’t eaten here in a year or more but had a yearning for what WAS the outstanding white pizza. We ordered the biggest one, figuring one of us would have food to take home to a child. Okay, from the time before these were the changes for the worse: 1. No longer take the Belly card, so no more rewards 2. No longer validate parking 3. Pizza was lackluster AND dough wasn’t done all the way. Now, if you’ve read any of my reviews, you know what this means… I’m done with the Bada Bing Pizza crew! Oh, and the staff was so blah acting…

5:30pm 03/07/2014 New Owners. No ABC License, so no beer — only soda and water. Absolutely horrible service. One employee for phone calls(delivery orders) and in store customers. New owner in back room, visible, but not helping out with orders. Delivery driver just standing around — apparently just waiting for next delivery to come out of oven. The few pizza slices on display looked old and dry and I had to wait 10 minutes to even place an order for a pizza while the counter guy took phone orders and did something back in the corner next to the ovens. New owner did come out and introduce himself. Said he and his partner plan to change the name of the place, change the pizza recipes, add pastas, and add deli sandwiches. Then he returned to the back room. This is the first time I was ever unhappy here and I have eaten here many many times.

Perfect spot to get a great NY-style pizza-by-the-slice. Good variety of pizzas to choose from, and the slices come out piping hot and tasty. Staff was very friendly as well.

This place is the worst example of New York Style pizza I have seen anywhere, and this is due to one glaring fact: EXTREMELYPOORCUSTOMERSERVICE. I used to work in a pizza shop in upstate New York, so I am very familiar with the product they put out and what needs to be done to put that product out. I also used to be a regular here when I moved a couple blocks away, but that was ended very abruptly. I called in one night to see what the price of a pizza would be, to which I received the response«You can look at our menu online.», and then they hung up on me. This might be a valid response for them to use, except that their online menu is not updated. I found this out very early on since I called in to get a pizza one night and they told me they had just closed, when the online menu said they would still be open for another hour or two. Bottom Line: If you can deal with the a** hole that runs this place and his total disregard for customer service, keep going there because they do make a good pie. Personally I won’t go back there unless I really can’t make it home or the people I’m with want to go here.

The best kitchen in the world cannot overcome poor front of the house service and that seems to be the case here. A longtime fan of I Love NY Pizza on Hillsborough Street, we thought we would expand our horizons and see how Bada Bings’ compared. When we walked in today at 345 for lunch with our three young children the young woman working the counter was wearing a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and her barely bra –clad breasts were visible for everyone to see. But before her boob came into full view, her phone rang and she found that it was more important to stop and answer it rather than serve the one and only customer in the place! After ordering an X-Large pepperoni we went outside to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Outside my wife observed the daily special sign beckoning would-be diners with the promise of an ‘X-Large Cheese $ 11.95′ which seemed to be more than we had just paid for our X-large 1 topping pizza. So I did the math and came to the conclusion that I had been overcharged by more than $ 2.00. So when Jiggles(as I will refer to her) came outside with our plates I pointed out that I thought that we might have been overcharged, to which she mumbled«that’s the special». My reply, although not nearly as witty as hers was«Yes, I can see that, but don’t you first have to make a cheese pizza before you can put any other items on top of it?» to which Jiggles mumbled something about«I can show you». Fearing that she meant to show me more than I really cared to see, or that any further discussion on the topic might lead to tampering with my pie, I dropped the discussion choosing to pursue it no further. Instead, I decided to write this review. Like I said, the best kitchen in the world cannot overcome a lousy front of the house staff, and although the inverse is not universally true, good service can and often will make the difference between a so-so kitchen or even a kitchen who may be experiencing a bad night. However, after reading many of the other reviews, it sounds as though this place would be better off if they limited themselves to serving patrons between 11PM and 3AM who either cannot read, perform simple math or are simply too smashed to care how bad the service is as long as they get to see boobs. In our experience the pizza was good, but not good enough to sustain the poor experience and for that reason alone, we will not return. For the same money, we could have had a better pizza and service that didn’t make me feel as though I had intruded upon them by my presence just a scant 5 minutes down Hillsborough Street at I Love NY Pizza!

Amazing! Love the late night slices! The owner, Jason, is the best! You can’t go wrong with this place! They have a great selection of beer too!

Really surprised by how much I liked this pizza! We ordered a medium white pizza when we came back in town late on a Sunday night, and boy, it was just what we needed! The pizza was less greasy than some of the New York-style places around, but it was still crispy and flavorful(just without that oil-dripping greasiness). I would definitely go back and order the exact same thing, which is a shame because that may mean that I will never get a chance to try another pizza variety from Bada Bing. I like it that they are open late and move people through efficiently!

Stopped here after a night out and the pizza was some of the best I’ve had. They stay open ’till 3′ in the morning and that’s just damn perfect.

We have tried so many so called real NY Pizza in the triangle that we lost count. Bada Bing was just so so and no very impressed by the service. The search continues.

I would not recommend this place and will not be back again. We first tried to go to Bada Bing a couple of months ago. We had an online deal. After we got there, the manager said that they do not honor the deal on Sundays(Sunday — really?) Plus the place was empty — not another soul in sight and the«Sunday» thing was not mentioned on the online deal so we just decided to get sushi instead. Decided to give them another chance on March 16(in the chance that the online dealer messed up Bada Bing’s deal specifications). We were at a Pub Crawl and heard from the Pub Crawl organizers that they had cheese and pepperoni slices on the cheap for Pub Crawl attendees. First they wayyy over charged us. Then one of our friends asked what kind of pizza they have and they said«look inside the windows». And he said«Well what are those exactly?» and the guy responded«That’s what we have, if you don’t like it, you can leave». So the other couple left. We had the pizza and it was fine, but when we checked our credit card statement the other day, they had added a large tip to our receipt when we had not tipped at all because all they were doing was handing us a pizza slice over the counter and not being too nice about it”. Go at your own risk.

Badabing Pizza is really the best pizza around. It’s thin and I had an onion/garlic and green pepper one and it was amazing. I look forward in getting take out from here every so often.

There’s only a handful of places in Glenwood South that I like, and Bada Bing Pizza is one of them. They serve up some of the best NY-style thin crust pizza in the Triangle. You can order by-the-slice, get a pizza to go, or order one for take out. I’m never around downtown Raleigh for lunchtime on weekdays, but the specials look great. I highly recommend sitting at the bar and eating the pizza fresh the oven. You can order a beer or grab a soda and watch the game. On weekdays, the restaurant generally is empty and only does take out orders. On the weekend, Bada Bing is the spot to grab some late night pizza. To keep up with the crowds(aka the spray tanners), they had to hire a bouncer. One of the co-owners(Jason) was told me stories about how multiple fights have broken out inside the restaurant. If I’m craving a NY-style pepperoni pizza, I always choose Bada Bing.

Pizza was ok, and I’d probably get delivery, but this is not a place to eat in at. Is it to be expected that the ambiance was lousy? Suppose so. I’m just not into a loud TV in an empty restaurant. Also kind of annoying that my wife got a slice of pizza and I got a sub. Instead of waiting on the pizza, it was delivered to us promptly and I had to wait 10 minutes for my sandwich.

Yep, I’m still not a huge fan of the name but Bada Bing has definitely stepped up its pizza game since it opened. Service is quite good now and I’ve always been greeted nicely here. The pizza has been improving over time, the thin crust is now really thin, they’ve zested up the sauce with some oregano and spices, the pies are still topped generously. And they run lunch specials from time to time which is ALWAYS appreciated. With the closing of Sauced last year, Bada Bing is probably THE place to go for a slice of carbs at 1am after hitting up S. Glenwood. Keep up the good work Bada Bing, I’m slowly falling for ya!

«Bada bing, bada boom, and the pizza is done!» Oh Bada Bing, you don’t know how many times you save me from otherwise agonizing hangover, after a night of fun on Glenwood South, with your dough and cheese and pepperoni. Sure, some may choose to have their pizza dough kneaded by the artisan hands of Mellow Mushroom, but for me, this grungy(more figuratively than literally) dive of a pizza joint is more of my place. Plus, B.B. stays open past last call, so it’s convenient if you stumble out of any club on Glenwood and need some place to sober up and fill your pit. P. S. I have drove to Queens to visit friends before just so I can get some good NY slices(Gaby’s come to mind.) Not. Even. Kidding. Now, Bada Bing is not genuine NY; I can pick a few bones if I really wanted to, like the fact pizza slices are a bit smaller comparing to de facto NY style slices, but why ruin a truly decent place like that? The true idea of NY style are giant slices, from 18″ pie, thin so it’s quick and easy to prepare and bake, and easily folded so it can be conveniently eaten on the run, because New Yorkers are ALWAYS on the run. Here at Bada Bing, the crust is thinly kneaded, the tomato sauce is light and evenly spread, and topping generously applied, though sometimes I wish there are more. So there you have it, straight from the mouth of an expert(no, not really.) Now if you would take another word from me, try Randy’s over by RTP on Miami Blvd, you just might like it. A LOT.

I stopped by Bada Bing pizza on a Friday night(but not late night) recently with some friends since we were looking to try something new. I was kind of surprised about how dead it was, since it was the weekend, but as I mentioned it was before the late night crowd which I suspect is when this place does its highest volume of business. I ordered two pepperoni slices with a drink which they offer as a special pre-late night. The slices were tasty and fairly large in size, but there are other pizza places offering larger slices. Not the best pizza I have ever had but it did the trick to satisfy my hunger. I don’t think the sauce measured up for me, but everything else about the slices was good. Also, service was friendly. Not sure what some of the other reviews are referring to there. The slices were right out of the oven, and I was a bit overzealous and now have a burned upper mouth to show for it.(Note to self next time and wait till the pizza cools a bit before indulging!) I like the décor paying homage to the T. V series ‘The Sopranos’ which featured a Bada Bing club, but that one didn’t serve pizza and this location on Glenwood doesn’t have. um, well just watch the series if you don’t know!

Unfair competition. They stay open late just long enough when you want to grab some pizza after a night out of drinking. It felt like the cook time lagged a little, or maybe it was because I was drunk. But in any event, when the pizza came it was some good stuff. Piping hot pizza that is fold-able — you can’t go wrong with that. I mean, having spent a year in Chicago, I can’t say that this compares to any of those places, but it was nice to grab a slice. People working the spot seemed very cool and chill — I can appreciate that. Served it even though we came über-late. dmo out.

New York Style pizza in the heart of Glenwood South! Nothin’ too special, but I’m always content to go there. It’s a thin-crusted cheesey deliciousness that makes me grin because it seems to be just the right ratio of each. If I had to compare it, I’d say it’s definitely better than Sauced! Bada Bing is much smaller and not for hanging out too long, but very enjoyable. The staff there is always friendly and I’ve never had a bad slice there. Every time I’ve been there in there, I’ve been greeted, made conversation with them, and joked around with them. Always kind and good service. Great specials are offered every day of the week, not to mention their late night hours for those out and about on Friday and Saturday nights. Every Friday and Saturday after going out swing by for a slice of pizza. 2 cheese slices and soda for $ 5! Not much better than that, unless you’re a must-eat-meat-eating girl like me. They have a decent variety of beers too, which has also impressed me. I’ve had their cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers pizza and enjoyed every single one. I’ll be going there again, so if you haven’t hit it up yet go get a taste of that NY style!
