Campus Edge

I lived at Campus Edge for a year while in grad school, and ran into problems with my living situation almost weekly. Right from move-​in, when I found stickers all over the walls of my bedroom and glitter and cockroaches all over the floors, problems kept cropping up.
The «mattress» that they provide when renting a furnished apartment is no more than 4 inches thick, and is reminiscent of those at an outdated camp that I went to as a kid. Over the course of the year, our heating malfunctioned and went on full blast heat a few times, which pumped up our apartment over 90 degrees. There were month-​long periods where the internet would go out daily that they wouldn’t fix. Despite keeping a very clean apartment, we had cockroaches and mice in our apartment multiple times. And there were parties downstairs that they said they didn’t have any power to break up or enforce, despite ensuring me upon move in that they had security on the premises at all times for that reason.
On top of all of the downsides with the living space itself, most of the staff were unhelpful and didn’t know what was going on. Most of the staff were college students, who were inefficient and slow. Even the professional staff were unorganized – I always insisted they provide me with a receipt, which saved me when they once backcharged me for rent that I had already paid. Only after I brought out the receipt and met with them multiple times did they find the error in their calculations and removed the charge.
From the outside, Campus Edge looks beautiful. They have a great club house, a beautiful pool, and nice show rooms. But the surface beauty isn’t enough to make up for all of its other downfalls.

NC STATE students beware… This complex tows constantly. My daughter lives there, has a sticker and was towed. $ 100 for a college student is hard. There were not enough spaces. This is an ongoing problem. This was the same week they had marked off visitor spaces as a «no parking» area. We will NOT be renewing our lease. This situation is Monica Laliberte worthy for bad business practices!!!

Not good. Some of the office staff are nice, others are not at all. They are not customer oriented at all. Internet was out for 2 months in the rooms. The office just explained it away as if it was no issue.
The best you’ll see from these folks is the day you sign your lease. After that, don’t expect much.
