Not busy at all. Had to ask for bread, they brought toast, literally toast. The vegetable of the day was mushy succotash, the steak was very grisly. The steak tasted ok but definitely not worth $ 20. They do have real butter. Disappointed I am

Im staying at the adjacent Holiday Inn and wanted to give this place a try. I tried the salmon and Veggie side dish. I have to say the food was good and the service is excellent. Will be coming back when I’m in the area.

Just not a very good dinner. I was starving so it should have been an easy win for them, but I left feeling very unsatisfied. Service was friendly, although spoon had crusted food stuck to the back.

We stopped in for breakfast while staying at the Holiday Inn. We were a bit hesitant with the low rating, but tried it anyways. I ordered blueberry pancakes & my kids also had pancakes. They were tasty & filling. My husband had to finish off my plate. The kids’ plates came with two pancakes & was plenty-even for my hungry 10 year old. We were the first of three families to arrive, but service was friendly & prompt. We recommend this spot for anyone staying at the Holiday Inn with kids(kids eat free)-a great value that didn’t disappoint.

We went here for dinner because my boyfriend wanted to go to a good steakhouse. The only steak that was non-sandwich on the menu was a ribeye. For $ 26 he was expecting to get a decent steak. The steak he received had a lot of fat on it. The bread that came with it was dry. I had a seafood pasta dish for $ 18. I was left asking where’s the seafood: just a few pieces of very small shrimp and tiny scallops. It was basically all pasta which I could have gotten elsewhere for half the price. We left feeling we overpaid for food that was not very good. How do you call yourself a steak house with just one steak item on the menu, no filet mignon, no porterhouse, no T-bone, just rib eye! Now we know why the place was practically empty at 6 pm on a Sat night. Would not go back or recommend! The man who served us very attentive and efficient, no problems with waiter service. He’s the only reason I gave one star.

For a steakhouse this place was sorely lacking. The only steak item on the menu was a sandwich that was about half fat, it was over cooked, and service was surprising poor considering there was only two customers. My wife, however had a decent burger.

The service here was great(considering my friend and I were the first and only customers here at 630 in morning) which is why it sucks that I got food poisoning from the eggs benedict. This eggs benedict is the reason why my flight back to California was the absolute worst flight I could ever imagine being on. Just think of it this way; I used so many sick bags that the flight attendant just decided a large white trashbag would be more economic. I should have known from the brown, obviously-not– so– fresh fruit…

Carolina Jack’s is a typical hotel restaurant with a bit of a step above the rest. No doubt that the staff is awesome: helpful, personable, informative. The food is fairly good, although we didn’t try the steaks, for which they advertise profusely. I did thoroughly enjoy my thick, drippy burger(even thought it was cooked to medium instead of the med-rare I ordered.) It was scrumptious — really hit the spot! The Eggs Benedict appeared to have lunch-meat style ham, the Chicken Parm had a slice of mozzarella, and the Tomato Bisque tasted a bit like pizza sauce. The fries, on the other hand, are fantastic… great flavor! The salads were fresh and crispy, the fruit is tasty and the rolls are wonderful. Kids will love the mac-n-cheese. Speaking of, kids under 12 eat free for all guests of the Holiday Inn. This is a great benefit for parents of little ones. The portions are pretty small for older kids, but the addition of a few inexpensive sides will generally take care of a bigger appetite. The staff was great about making sure all available discounts were included in the bill. Very sweet every time. The menu itself is a bit overpriced for the quality of food. Standard breakfast entrees run about $ 9… dinner about $ 15. The portions, however, are very generous. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy — very much a hotel-feel. There are a few booths, which were popular with our little group. There is a nice, comfortable bar and juke box in the corner. Room service is prompt and friendly. Overall, a-ok. Perfect for a hotel stay.
