We came here at the start of our sushi hop(kinda like bar hopping, but with sushi) and were waited by Dante. He was awesome! All of the staff were super friendly and the sushi is tasty and affordable. Also if you check in you get a free ice cream who doesn’t like ice cream and sushi? Lol but seriously, the environment is comfortable and your food comes out quick. Definitely worth checking out!

This place is amazing. It has a very cultural feel with a pleasant inviting atmosphere when greeted at the door. Customer service is great especially from dante he is one of the waiters there a very polite and soft-spoken gentleman. The sushi is very tasty so many different varieties of combinations of traditional and new rolls! Also every week they have a ½ off special that changes every Wednesday so you get some pretty neat choices. This is establishment is very clean from the bathrooms to the kitchen. The décor is very beautiful as well with cool designs and decorations. All in all this a great place one i will come back to again and one everyone should try.

After living in California I was hard pressed to find a quality sushi restaurant near my home that could be local lunch place for the occasional fresh sushi meal. Eventually I stumbled upon Carolina Sushi & Roll at the original Falls of Neuse location and it quickly became my favorite for quality fresh ingredients at a reasonable price. I was really disappointed when the location closed. Then I happened to see the new location at Poyner Village and was delighted that it is even closer to where I live! The special rolls may look a bit pricey but they always have a selection of ½ price rolls to choose from. The Carolina Roll is one of my faves with fresh salmon on top. The lunch menus is always affordable and delicious. Overall I do not find this place expensive at all. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Fair price and clean sushi place. It’s not really fancy so it’s good for a casual lunch or dinner when you’re not trying to spend too much. Staff is friendly and has a nice laid back feel.

Ordered food to go. I was told 15 minutes… 45 minutes later still no food… Not offered water while waiting. When I called the order in I let them know I saw their online coupon(super pricy btw… California roll was $ 10). To speed the process up, asked for the check and no discount. Hell no biggie ordered two entrees, and two rolls. He said the lowest item would be half… Sure it was only going to $ 3 off a tempura roll… Reminded him to take half off of one and after 5 minutes he said he needed a physical copy. So stupid. Still no food… Asked for my card back and left. A really dumb way to do business and to lose a customer who lives 2 minutes away. Went to get Mexican at San Jose.

Food here was good, but a bit overpriced. I will say the pork katsu is out of this world. Lightly breaded, ultra crispy little nuggets of pork loin. The only down side is it came with plain white rice. I’ll be sure to ask for fried rice next time.

Ignore the fast food environment and broken English skills, and enjoy the food and hospitality. This place has delicious Korean food with authentic touches, special discounted sushi rolls, and plenty of Japanese cuisine favorites. We enjoyed the spicy tofu soup, bulgogi, bibimbop, dumplings, and generously topped chicken ramen with egg. We’ll be back whenever we are in the area. Thank you!

The ambiance here leaves something to be desired. When we dined here, there was no hostess booth(not sure if this has changed) and it was a little awkward when we first came in. The staff was pretty attentive. Not overly friendly, but nice enough. The menu is pretty extensive… Lots of options. My husband and I got sushi to share, ramen, and I got chicken teriyaki, which in retrospect might have been a mistake. I would stay a little more traditional in the future, as I wasn’t impressed with the preparation or presentation of my meal. My husband liked his ramen but wasn’t really really impressed. I’m on the edge of a three and four star review. It’s close to our home, so we’ll certainly give it another try, but I wasn’t blown away.

Good food and wide selection. Me and family came for lunch the wait staff apparently was also the cook and was told that hot food would take longer. The food is worth coming back and in good portion. Ramen was tasty even if it was Chicken. Korean tofu soup was worth ordering. Sushi rolls were good and innovative with a discount. Bento box has big serving as lunch special. Very pleasant and well taken cared off even if they were short staffed. The décor was appropriate and festive. Ample parking and price is just right. So many food they offer definitely will be back.

Their new location is great! I got to order the tamago sushi and nabeyaki udon both were phenomenal, especially if you’re used to authentic Japanese cuisine. With that being said it’s also great for the price. They have a large menu for both Japanese foodies and American palettes so this is a place that can please anyone. The staff are friendly and are usually playing some interesting Korean food shows on the tv if you’re into that sort of thing– it definitely plays into the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again

Beautiful interior. Great service. Sushi is horrible. Other than the food, it’s a great place.

Okay place. The food is not bad, it is pretty decent more than some sushi places. Their menu is kind of pricey for a small, family-owned business. I do have to say that it was kind of unprofessional that the employees had their baby right in the restaurant with their strollers near the bathroom. The server was holding her baby while she was taking and giving everyone their checks?

I have only been here once, buy wow. I had both ramen and sushi. It’s not Ichiraku Ramen, but it is great. Best part about it, it was not full of salt, so it did not give me a headache, or raise my blood pressure like all of the other locations. They can prepare it without mushrooms if you like, and they even give you the option of having egg in it. If you don’t know about the eggs, that is where it appeared as if they just cracked a raw egg in the ramen, and the boiling liquid cooked the egg. I liked the ramen very much. As far as the sushi, I found the prices very reasonable, and more reasonable than other places. The portions were a good size, and nicely presented. This is a place I definitely recommend going to. The place is tiny, which means no large crowds. #397

Ok, I really didn’t want to write a review because I am afraid they will get tooooo busy if everyone knows how awesome this place is. This is the same Carolina Sushi and Roll that used to be over by the Harris Teeter on Falls Of neuse; now they are over near the Target by the Triangle town center. Here is what you need to know, everything you get here, is good. Like really fresh and really good. Lately we have been on a roman kick and getting that. I have enough for dinner and always have left overs to take to work for lunch the next day. Every week they have a list of different sushi rolls that are half price and every roll i have gotten has always been a very good portion. Tonight I got their Las Vegas roll and it was so yummy. I like they switch up which rolls are half price cause it always forces me to try something new. And really, I never have had anything bad here. Enjoy, rock on– whewhooo–

I was told there was a new sushi place right by me. This is dangerous, because it was so good. I had two rolls and I’m full. The price was about high, but it is to be expected for sushi. The service was great, and everything was quick. Definitely coming back for a work lunch.

I’ve been here several times at their previous location in Falls of Neuse, and still love their food at their new location! It’s a family friendly restaurant, with great prompt service. The servers are always checking in to make sure we have everything we need! This visit, I got the Chirachi and shared a couple special rolls that were half off with a few friends. I loved the Chirachi! The sashimi in top was really fresh and was a hearty amount. I was so full, I couldn’t finish my dish. We got 3 sushi rolls– they were all so fresh and yummy! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Very surprising find(lucky for us)! Food was perfect — nice mix of Korean and Japanese. Noodles tasted very fresh, Yuk gae jang was excellent, and the sushi was well prepared. Service was friendly and prompt — overall wonderful experience. Would absolutely recommend!

Top of the line sushi! Very fresh fish and cold beer, you can definitely tell if a sushi roll is authentic or not by the way it was rolled, and these guys nailed it, start off with a cold tallboy Sapporo, then move onto a refreshing ginger salad, then it’s time to smash some sush!
