I’ve been a customer for 4 months now and I am very happy with my stylist Marie, who really knows how to cut hair for a person’s hair texture, face shape, etc. And she listens to the customer. The front desk people are friendly and welcoming and the offer of a cold beverage is a treat. Add that to a 5-​minute head massage during the shampoo, a text message reminder for the appt, and a paraffin bath for the hands, and you have a satisfied customer! PS – free neckline touch-​up or bangs trim between appointments, too. This salon is in a nice little shopping center.

I’ve been going to Ashley at Elle for cut and color for about 5 years. The salon has a cool atmosphere and friendly staff.

I bought a Groupon for three facials and have had two so far by Jenn. She has a gentle nature and gives a thoughtful, thorough, relaxing and wonderful facial. I leave with my skin glowing and feeling like I leave my daily stresses there. I will look forward to my next appointment and would recommend her to any of my friends even though she does the extractions, which I desperately need but don’t want to happen.

Sheyla has cut my hair a few times now and everytime she does a wonderful job. When I am not too sure what I want she always gives helpful suggestions. I trusted her to cut bangs into my hair and she did it perfectly! The workstations are always clean and they even offer you glasses of wine! I would definitely give 5 stars if the price was slightly lower.

I highly recommend Sheyla for a men’s cut. Sheyla has given me a great cut every time I see her, and will definitely keep going back. My wife also gets her hair done by Sheyla and loves her, which is how I ended up in a salon in the first place. My wife also always says how great the esthetician Jen is, She gets waxed and facials from Jen and always comes home happy. You should definitely stop in and see Jen and Sheyla! Now back to guy stuff

Ive been having my hair cut and colored by Sheyla for a while now and i am so happy!
I’ve noticed several bad reviews from the past and I totally disagree, This place is wonderful! The whole staff is extremely sweet and educated in their field. I highly recommend Elle hair spa to all my friends, family, and fellow Unilocalers!

Like Sophie, I too showed a picture — and not just any picture. A picture of ME. A picture of ME after my former stylist in another city had cut and colored MY hair. Beautiful hair. Totally showed the cut and color of what he’d done (it’s one of my profile pics with me in the shades, check it out). How in the WORLD this person got light brown/​blonde out of that dark-​brunette-​with-​honey-​lowlights picture, I’ll never know. The cut was also awful. No stylist has ever dried my hair first, then cut it. And I said lots of layers! Where were my layers??!
Also — my former stylist took, at most, an hour and 45 minutes to shampoo, color, cut and style my hair. Do you know how long I was here? FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. !!! The rest of my day was ruined… all my other errands had to be postponed to the next day or later in the week.
If you still aren’t convinced at how bad it was or how unhappy I was, I’ll leave you with this. I dropped $ 140 for this mess and wanted to cry. That evening, I drove to Target at North Hills and paid about $ 9 for L’Oreal Feria color to put my hair back dark. I’d never colored my own hair at home before, and my sister talked me through it over the phone. By the time I went to bed that same night, I was far happier with that $ 9 color. It held me over until I found Ramon at Carmen! Carmen! at Crabtree.

I called to make an appointment with the owner, but she was booked for at least a month out so the receptionist set up an appointment for me with another master stylist in the salon.
I showed her a picture of golden blond hair with highlights and wound up with a grayish mucky color. :(In between the highlights, she used an ashy gloss to cut out the reddish color my hair was. A color which I had no problems with, I just wanted some dimensions added to it and break it up a little with some highlights. When I asked her if she thought it might throw a gray color (it was looking very mucky when processing), she assured me it would not, but after drying my hair, unfortunately, what saw was what I got. Dingy hair, gray looking hair that no amount of styling was going to fix.
After I dried my hair, the stylist saw the mistake and added another gloss (this time with a gold tone) in it to remove the mucky gray. It took at the roots but the rest of my hair was still ick. She added chunky highlights to the front in an attempt to break up the color. I left with foils in my hair (my choice) because honestly I just wanted to get out of there. She was very nice, but at the end of the day, what I asked for and what I received did not match, not even in the slightest, not even after spending $ 200.
If you do make an appointment at this salon, I would recommend seeing the owner, and that is only going by the reviews online that praise her ability, as I have not personally ever gone to her. In other words, schedule at your own risk!
