Recent started working nearby and was looking for alternative to the usual places. I came across Greek Fiesta, and decided to check it out, despite the worn down exterior appearance. Was really hoping it would be a diamond in the rough, but it will be my first — and last — visit there. While waiting to have someone take my order, my first indicator that something was not right was the note on the cash register indicating they would not be honoring Groupon coupons. Now, I understand that Groupon it is not always the friendliest towards small business owners, but turning a potential customer away is not smart. It took seven minutes for someone to take my order, even though there was only one person in line at the drive through. The gyro I ordered with the most disappointing I have ever had. The lamb tasted burnt and like a process meat product. I couldn’t even finish it. I walked away hungry and disappointed.

Not very good place to hangout. Food was not that great.

The food was pretty good. I had a chicken kabob and the falafel was probably frozen because it was a very bland. However the pistachio baklava was quite delightful and the overall food rating is good. however, it was about 80° inside the building and a few pieces of the Decour look like they had been purchased from a yard sale. Probably a better lunch spot than dinner but definitely not bad.

Went for the 7.99 hummus and chicken kabob special today. Although the lady taking my order was surly, the young guy who cooked and announced my meal in like 5 min was friendly and professional. Food wise, I was pleased for the price. I appreciated the fresh lemons in the sweet tea and the healthiness of the food for the price and convenience. My kabob was freshly cooked and served with a good amount of hummus, I only wished the pita had been a tad warmer. It’s no neo monde, but it’s a good change up for greek fast food.

I use to go here often. Just recently I bought a groupon for two Mediterranean platters. I called it in and told them what I purchased. I went and picked up my order(not thinking I had to check both platters before I went back to work). I had a coupon for the free bochliva but Ollie(sp?) said no i couldn’t get it even though I paid $ 19.00 for the two platters. He made the comment you already get two with your purchase. He is very unpleasant and could careless. So I go back to work to eat my lunch and my lamb skewers are NOT in the bag. Ok so I call as I am not happy at all and tell them the deal and he says well we will have it for you if you come back over so I drive back again. After being questioned by some foreign lady I get my lamb and head back to work a second time. I dig into my lunch and then go to get the bochliva(2) that comes with the platters I bought. I should have known that neither of the bochliva were in the bag. I was furious!!! I called and let him know I was mad as fire but again that location could careless. I’m going back and they will makeup for their screw ups!

If I could give this place less than one star I would. My co-worker and I went here today for a quick lunch. The lady on the register was trying to be sneaky with us and charged us almost $ 12 for a gyro and fries. Little did we know that their was a lunch special going on! This was around 1:00. Also she gave us drinks that were flat. We received our food and it tasted like the just unfroze the meat. I understand meat can be frozen but hey at least try to hide that! Not to mention, the fries were burned. Akh Greek Fiesta, get it together! First and last time at this place.

Whenever I’m in a hurry I can pick up some great food from this place. They conveniently have a drive-thru. I really enjoy their Greek salad along with grape leaves. Although the food is good, I’ve never checked out the inside of the place.

I really really shouldn’t have eaten here but I was in town for classes and this was the only place without a huge line. The food was mediocre to be expected but the kicker was the employee who went and laid on the couch while people just stood at the counter.

The food here is pretty inexpensive, and nothing I’ve had has ever been bad but few things stand out as excellent. I typically order chicken or steak kabobs which are juicy and lightly seasoned but have tried the gyros and many of their sides. The tabbouleh is my favorite of their sides, and the tea they serve is sweetened with fruit(pineapple, I think?) so it has a nice flavor. At this location, the service has been consistently disappointing. Employees disappear into the back of the kitchen and don’t return for long periods of time, even though people are standing at the counter trying to order. Several times I’ve been sitting at the table waiting to hear my order called, only to look and see my tray sitting on the counter, with no employee in sight. Additionally, this location seems to suffer in comparison to the crossroads location, which has the same menu but the food seems fresher, the restaurant seems cleaner, and the service is generally much better. In general, I’d never object to eating here, but probably wouldn’t suggest it. If you’re stuck near campus and need a quick lunch, it’s fine, but if you can spare a few minutes there are other options nearby(including the Crossroads Fiesta) that will probably make you happier. They are open relatively late so that’s a plus, I would rather eat here for a late-night fix than one of the many burger joints nearby.

I consider Greek Fiesta to essentially be the Greek McDonald’s. The food is quick, cheap, and mass-produced. I think they even have a drive-through :) Anyway, I typically order the $ 7.99 Chicken Gyro special with a drink and side of fries(if they are feeling generous they will sometimes sub out rice). The wrap itself is tasty, with standard pita bread, tadziki sauce, and chicken. Their Baklava is nothing to write home about. Or if you did, it’d be a really boring letter, along the lines of: Dear Mom, I had the most generic Baklava ever last night! Okay, sorry for that silliness. Due to the quick service, and proximity to state employee offices and NC State, you’ll see a mixture of nicely dressed state employees, and NC State students there. So don’t worry too much about how you are dressed, it’s all good. The ambiance is just kind of Meh. The building looks like it may have been a Pizza Hut in some past incarnation. There are some old dusty tapestries hanging about. I couldn’t say if they are valuable antiques or not, but I can say that the color scheme and the old tapestries is about the extent of the Greek Ambiance. It’s one of those places that you take a number, and they bring the food to your table, kind of like a Hardee’s. That’s fine for this kind of establishment. One thing that I think is weird and maybe charming or off-putting is the name. Greek Fiesta. What? If it’s a Greek restaurant, why have a Spanish word for party in there? Why not just call it Greek party? Well anyway, I’m not a marketing guy, maybe it just works for them. But every person I bring there has a comment about the weird name. I’m most likely to go to Greek Fiesta on a work lunch, or if in the middle of a long conference people need something quick to eat. If I’m going to be completely honest, I’ll say that Neomonde has better food, but it’s lines and prices make Greek Fiesta a more palatable choice for me. 7⁄14: I gotta take a star off for the fat smart-ass that works the register. I’m sick of getting heckled for my order. I’ve mostly just let it go, but the last time I went I was in a bad mood, and really didn’t need to hear this guy who thinks he’s the king of Greek Fiesta mock me for having to wear a tie. Whatever, maybe I’ll be back in a year, or maybe I’ll be back never.

My first time eating a gyro, and it was delicious! Hummus was also amazing. I’d definitely come back for more, but I was only in town for a few weeks.

Unfortunately, I was not able to try the food here. I ordered at the drive-thru and someone took my order. Then I drove up to the pick up window, no one was there, so I waited…5 minutes later, still waiting…10 minutes later, still no sign of life. This was way past my drive-thru boiling point, so I drove off food-less. I didn’t see many cars parked outside, so they couldn’t have been very busy. My advice to Greek Fiesta: If you have not mastered the art of a drive-thru, then don’t have a drive-thru.

Greek Fiesta is located just outside of NC State, and I stopped in there last night before heading to the baseball field at State. Wanting something light and healthy, my husband and I were pleased with the food. It did take about fifteen minutes, and my husband made the comment that the guy behind the counter seemed to be expecting a tip just for ringing up our order, but after the wait everything was good. I had the steak kebob which was excellent. It was tender, juicy, and had a great flavor. The cucumber sauce was really tasty, too. What I really dug was the salad. Most Greek places give you a ton of lettuce and barely any dressing, but not this one. I will say watch for pits in the olives! I would totally eat here again, but the service does need a bit of an upgrade.

I really like the idea of healthy, fresh, Greek food that I can get take-out food from. Unfortunately, Greek Fiesta was not quite as good as I had hoped for. Although we were the only ones there on a Sunday afternoon, our food took 20 minutes to get. I ordered the gyro and felt that the lamb and steak pieces were rather dry and the tzatzki sauce was not as flavorful as I have had elsewhere. I also tried the grape leaves and found that they were rather soggy and did not hold together properly. Although none of the food was bad, I have had much better at other restaurants throughout the triangle at similar prices($ 10 for the food and a drink) . One benefit of this Greek Fiesta is that it does have a drive through although I would be skeptical of the wait time.
