This is a free museum inside of North Carolina State University — it is inside the Talley Student Union Building on the second floor, with two rooms for exhibits. Currently, one of their exhibits is titled, Barkcloth, Bras & Bulletproof Cotton: The Powers of Costume. It looks at how outfits have formed society and culture in terms of power and status, life events, art and expression, religion and spirituality, and daily living. One of the more interesting pieces here is the kimono made out of fast food bags. I cannot recommend tourists making a deliberate stop(unless already on NC State campus) as this is a really small museum. For college students and other locals, this is definitely worth 30 – 60 minutes of your time.
