Had a great haircut there about a week ago! Plan to go back. Jennifer was awesome, I enjoyed our conversation, and appreciated the thank you card. I’ll be back soon! Great relaxed atmosphere too, feels like a great place for a man to unwind.

I brought my adopted special needs son too Handsome Floyd’s and he was treated like a king! He has a very nice haircut and I mean he’s styling! My son’s experiences are the main focus of my life and I’m pleased to say that he had a nice experience and was well appreciated and respected as the young man that he is and I thank you Floyd! I have lived in the Raleigh-​Durham area for several years and this is hands down the best barbershop I’ve visited, and I’ve just about tried them all. After three visits to Handsome Floyd’s I have actually consistently received a great haircut each time. If you’ve tried your luck elsewhere in the area then I’m sure you’ve had some hack jobs of a haircut before — too short, too choppy, too rude… you get the point.

Todd and the crew are the best in town. Their haircuts are the best I have ever had and their customer service is top notch. From the time you walk in, you can sit down, enjoy a beverage and feel like you are hanging out with your friends. I have been getting my haircut from Todd for years and won’t go anywhere else.

Another Five Star haircut from the best Barbershop in the Triangle! Always get a quality cut here and the shampoo and beverages are excellent too. If you’re looking for courteous, dependable, clean, and fun this barber shop is a winner!

Service was great. Out here for work and read reviews on here and decided to check it out. Place is great. Courtney even though she is new did a great job and I’ll be coming back as long as I’m out here. Prices aren’t too bad.

I have been very pleased with my haircuts since I started going to Handsome Floyd’s about a year ago. The staff is always very welcoming from the time you step through the door.
I have always requested Donna. She has always done a remarkable job and is consistent. After going to big name salons over the years and paying twice as much, it is refreshing to find someone who gives a great haircut every time.

Don’t try and walk in this place without calling first. You may get turned away.

Worst beard styling ever. Can’t believe I paid $ 20 for looking horrible. The guy doing it was nice enough but clearly had no experience doing real beard styling.

Handsome Floyds is your neighborhood barbershop/​stylist that franchises attempt to imitate. I’m picky about my haircuts and had visited 2 – 3 other men’s stylists (franchises) and was dissatisfied after a couple of visits. I like stylists to use scissors and not the standard barber cut. I appreciate the hot towel treatment and shampoo/​conditioning at HFs, although these aren’t deal-​breakers for me. The stylists and Todd (the barber) are friendly both on the phone and in person and are quick to offer water/​coffee when you walk in the door. This place is awesome, they do the job right, and I can usually get an appointment with 1 – 2 days notice if I don’t just walk-​in.
I’ve been going to see Donna for over a year now, and she does a FANTASTIC job. It grows out evenly so I can stretch my cuts 6 – 8 weeks apart. Her warm personality and attention to detail, specifically her memory/​notes from past visits, are what keep me returning as a customer. She remembers our conversations from the last time and it’s refreshing to know she’s not just making small talk… I would recommend Donna to anyone I know!

Funny thing is I was actually headed to Sports Clips when I came a crossed Handsome Floyds. After entering Sports Clips and waiting for 5 minutes without and service, I left and started towards Handsome Floyds to give it a go.
So fun fact about myself for all of those wanting to get to know me better (and who wouldn’t? ;) My grandfather owned a barber shop as a kid in Southern California for many years, So I grew up getting my hair cut in his chair, at his barber shop regularly. And walking into this barber shop brought back so many memories from those childhood moments of getting my haircut by my grandfather.
I am a fan of this place because the service is great, the barbers are friendly and most of all thank make me look fantastic! They also have and nice line of mens beauty products for sale, which is nice considering we usually get snubbed!

This place is awesome! I stumbled on this hidden gem after searching Unilocal and I’m glad I found it. After three cuts I can confidently say that this is one if the best places I’ve ever been. The prices are right, quality is great and atmosphere has the right cool factor. I’ve been seeing Sarah and she’s awesome. Total professional and very skilled. Highly recommend this place.

I love this place. It’s the best place for men to get a hair cut, hands down. It’s conveniently located in North Raleigh and is always clean and consistent. Ever since Ashley started cutting my hair a few years ago, I have not let anyone else near my hair. It’s a perfect haircut everytime!

Nice place. Super nice people. A step above your standard barber shop for us fellas who are just going to cut your hair like they do everyone else’s. You’ll get a shampoo here, a very nice cut, and you’ll be in and out in 30 mins. I think I found my regular haircut spot on my first try.

Finally a real place to get a haircut at. Handsome Floyd’s is actually a one of a kind barbershop located in North Raleigh, that is more than just a Great Clips or an Aveda. Its just a nice relaxed barbershop, where you are treated as a person and welcomed to a professional cut.
I made an appointment the day before and was welcomed with an offer of water or coffee in the early morning. It was followed by one of the more enjoyable discussions I’ve had with a barber in years.
I definitely recommend Handsome to anyone looking to pay the $ 25 and get a shampoo/​cut/​shave that you cannot beat any place else.

Thanks for everyone that gave me advice in the question I posted. I finally decided to try Floyd’s for its proximity and the reviews I saw.
I was able to make an appt, which is very appt to me. I hate to have to wait around. I work from home when I am not traveling so this was a good point for me.
I was greeted and offered coffee and water until Lynn showed up to cut my hair. I always arrive early for appts also. I like the décor and the music they were playing.
Lynn was very nice and made me feel right at home. She gave me a great haircut for a good price too. This is the best haircut I have had since I moved to Raleigh 3 months ago. I am now going to become a regular here and probably bring my two sons too.
They also did a shampoo and wash after. I can’t say I have ever had that done but one has to grow up and enjoy all that a business has to offer one day. I used to get a razor cut every week in the Army so haircuts to me have always been quick and short. To be pampered was quite nice.
I was offered a hot towel to clean up with and it felt like I was in 1^st class on a plane. I usually defer on the plane but today accepted and it just made the whole experience nice.
I recommend the service and the cost and the entire business and Lynn will do a great job.

Thank god. I found a place to cut my hair. The worst part of moving to a new city is finding a new barber. Most of the time I end up at some fancy salon that just can’t do the simple things, so Handsome Floyd’s is perfect.
My barber Lynn does a great job listening to your needs and will always work to get your hair right. I’ve gone three times now and she is consistently good. I have a pretty simple haircut, but a single miscue and it’ll look wrong, so having someone I trust is necessary.
My cut and wash is $ 20, a little pricey compared to your typical barber, but I think it’s worth it. An eyebrow trim is included, but if you don’t want it, let them know.
I would recommend that they do some extras that would make the experience that much more worth it. Back in Rochester, my barber did a straight shave (old school single blade) on the sideburns and neckline that got closer than any electric shaver could. Also, they offered free beverages (beer, soda, water). While not necessary, it adds to the experience.
4 stars for the good, consistent haircuts. I’ll be going back again and again.
