This is the worst Harris Teeter in the area. It smells bad when you walk in. They don’t have they sub area, the salad bar, or any of the other food areas like the other Harris Teeter’s in the area. This one is a couple of miles from my house and I make a point to drive a little further to go to a cleaner, nicer Harris Teeter. I don’t recommend this grocery store.

I have been twice in the store at this location during the evening and in both cases the place smelled pretty bad. It was actually my first experience with This chain. Later I learned that other stores are much nicer. I buy at the store on Tyron Village, in Cary, and I’m pretty happy. It never smells there…

I unfortunately live smack in between this Harris Teeter and the one next door to the Cary Town Center mall. Both are the closest grocery stores to my house, both stink, and I try my absolute hardest to avoid them. Of course, sometimes I need to run and pick up an item or two immediately so I have experience with them. I HATE this Harris Teeter more than any other grocery store I’ve ever walked into in my life. It’s frequented by sketchy clientele who use the fire lanes as parking spaces and hang out near the entrance smoking. It’s extremely old, exceedingly small, and somewhat dirty. There is minimal to no selection, and what they do have is ridiculously overpriced. There was one day where I went in for two items. One item I refused to buy because it was so overpriced(dijon mustard), and the other they didn’t have at all(tofu). That very same day I happened to be in Cameron Village and stopped in that Harris Teeter. They had over 6 varieties of tofu, and the mustard I needed was a FULL $ 2 cheaper there. I’m convinced this Harris Teeter preys on people who don’t have the transportation to shop elsewhere and I find it disgusting. I do all of my big weekly shopping at either Walmart or Food Lion, and I encourage others to do the same.

This one seems a little rapey to me… This location is much smaller than other HTs I’ve seen. It has the weirdest logic to it(how the hell is butter so hard to find?) and isn’t all that well stocked. Plus, the ice cream is way overpriced. I mean, if you need to pick up a couple things and live close by, it’s fine. But it’s not a store I’d do much shopping at.

This is the most ridiculously over-priced grocery store I have ever been in. Seriously, it’s cheaper to shop at «Whole Paycheck». Who pays $ 4.59 for a pint of Ben and Jerry’s– on SALE?! I can get it cheaper at the gas station! The store brand wheat thins are $ 3.49? I’m just getting started… I don’t care if it’s convenient to my house, but I refuse to walk into this place again. I’ll drive the extra miles to Krogers or Whole Foods where my bill will be half the price and I’ll end up with better quality food to boot. How does this place even stay in business?

Is this Harris Teeter Ghetto? I guess the parking lot is. It is also apparently considered very in fashion to park in this particular fire lane, too, blocking most incoming traffic from maneuvering efficiently. So the parking lot is «colorful». But the deli man at the counter is super nice, recognizes customers, and is always very helpful. He makes you feel like the deli counter is his passion. Which I find charming. And the checkout people are always friendly, and always the same faces which gives it a nice neighborhood feel. It’s clean, and it’s stocked full. Also not overpriced. It doesn’t need to be fancy to be just fine for everyday shopping.

Ghetto. Enough said. I have been to many Harris Teeter stores in North Carolina and this one is, by far, the most ghetto one I have ever been to. Let’s start with the parking lot: People parked(all the time) in the FIRELANE(that distinctly says, «no parking»)…the manager needs to take the initiative to have the cars towed. People speed in the parking lot and walk, aimlessly, without any concern for their own safety. The appearance of the store makes it seem as though it once was a small K-Mart or some other business that went out of business… it is not visually appealing at all. The staff has never said hi to me — I have never seen anyone there greet a customer. Many of the employees in the store are walking around, talking to one another, instead of doing their jobs. Highly-priced items and not as large a selection as other Harris Teeter stores that I have shopped at. This store is only 3 minutes from my house, but I would much rather continue my 15 minute drive to one of the stores in Cary just b/c the other stores are much better.
