High Cotton

Awesome store in downtown Raleigh. Very similar to Vineyard Vines and Southern Tide. Awesome and friendly owners. Definitely check this place out!

Ok «bowties are cool”*. And here, especially so. It’s a unique men’s store specializing in products made of – cotton. Who would have thought? The name, High Cotton, an old expression describing a certain comfortable economic status in life, is appropriate with cotton now having cache in some fashion circles.
It isn’t a big store, and the inventory focuses primarily on the accessories rather than a complete menswear line. With ties, a few long-​sleeve shirts, a few soft cotton t-​shirts, pocket squares, suspenders, and cummerbund sets, it’s a niche market. The color scheme with softer colors and pastels may be a seasonal thing.
The price tags are discreetly placed and easily missed. They’re small white stickers on the edge of the shelf, immediately below the product in most cases. It’s a cleaner and simpler way to accommodate new inventory and price adjustments. Some things are not labeled, so you have to ask.
In a nod to the high-​cotton style of shop, the checkout area is a nice desk, where the employee tracks everything with a pen and paper, old-​school, but totals the purchase using an tablet. The receipt is either texted to your phone or e-​mailed. There’s no paper.
High Cotton has sales from time to time, but as befitting the market, the advertising is low-​key.

Great Looking Specialty Shop! 100% Cotton, Washable Bow Ties, Cummerbunds, Hand-​made in North Carolina! They also had Left Pocket Jacket Handkerchiefs and they do carry matching Headbands for the Ladies! We checked out the Bow Ties! Other than the Beautiful Formal Line I would Describe the other styles as «Preppy» or Southern Gentleman and maybe I should not project a «Style» limitation on these Nice Looking Ties though I believe this is their target Market! I would have been more excited about a few Eccentric College Professor Choices! On the Other Hand I Believe it is Brilliant for a Business the Specialize Precisely Focus on What they want to Achieve and Who their Customer is and I believe they are doing that very well with Image and Product Line!
